Thats what it looks like so far, but I wouldn't put it against them just yet, as they'll probably revise them soon. I already know a couple of people who canceled their pre-orders due to this.

Sorry but clearing an overkill heist in less than a minute with next to no challenge whatsoever is not fun at all, coop game or not.

Think of it this way, if they know they're getting banned they'd probably try to get as many others banned with them, so it would cause even more issues if someone with 1000 turrets joined your game, and made it look like you were the ones cheating instead.
Also I wish there was a way to sell mods and patterns ahd shit, so I could sell those useless Electric Centers I,m never gonna use.
The one way I can see that justified is that overkill believe that if you show off someone hacking, it might make them want to hack because they can see what they can get?

The game is completely peer to peer. I still think they should too, but I don't think they can if the game is entirely p2p.
Isn't the whole point of a Beta to try and break the game?
Then again I guess I'd be pretty upset too if my multiplayer game was easier to cheat in than most singleplayer games.

Making the saves cloud based would be so much easier, no hacking, saves on other computers

Part of my appeal for Payday was that it isn't about just who has the best equipment like other multiplayer games, the skill of your team also has a major factor into it.
And well, you can't really cheat to be physically better at playing a game, unless you do shit like godmode and infinite ammo in it, but I wouldn't really consider that to be "skillful" really.
Im so hyped for this game. I never played the first one, but it looks so good. I wish i had a key.

In a beta when something breaks you report it to the dev and leave it instead of abusing it for your amusement untill it gets fixed
This issue is well known so implying those who are still doing it are legitimately trying to help with testing is ridiculous
I don't care how fancy your swat armour is, if someone shoots you in the face 12 times with a shotgun your face is no longer functional
There may be that, but Overkill seem to be completely incompetent at dealing with their community and how they interact with their game. I hate to bring up the ARG again, but they felt legitimately violated that people dared to touch the game files to look for clues, and their statement today about people prying apart the game is clearly about more than just cheating.
It feels like they have blinders on, or are extremely ignorant about how games get picked apart and hacked to pieces. But it extends past that, if what I've heard is true, and that the 'pro' players in the pre-beta beta got them to make the game more 'difficult' to suit their tastes, it just feels like alienation.
I like the game, I really do, but through this whole process I can't really say I'm a fan of Overkill.
