Did they say anything about modding tools?
Have they said anything about prices or pre-orders? I hope it will be accessible to everyone, the first one has a very little community.

"So for Half-Life 3 we are going to make it a 2D side-scroller"

Seen the gameplay. Annoys me that almost every action needs time. Even for putting on the mask.
I really wish they would at least give animations for these things. That was like the one thing in that game that super pissed me off, other than the levels that god stupidly hard because it just starts throwing way too many enemies. Either make a QTE or something visual, not "Hold down E at this spot"
I'm going to be honest here, not because I want to be a dick, but because I want to know if I'm missing something:
I wasn't crazy about Payday 1.
I really want Payday 2 to be a good game, so I'm going to keep track of developments. But it really does just seem like "L4D2 but with robbers." I played the first Payday during a free weekend, and it just wasn't very fun to play (I'll admit - it was solo, but still). It just felt like the same formula of "enter A, shoot bad guy, manage objective at B, get out." Was there an experience I missed within the first hour I played? Otherwise, it just seemed like such a meh experience for me.
I'm going to watch PayDay 2 with anticipation, and I hope to maybe buy it. But the original just seemed very bland, and to a certain extent I feel the same way about the second as well.

Playing it solo was your biggest mistake, PAYDAY is a strictly co-op game. The point is not to "do X, shoot Y, run", you're supposed to clear the level of cameras, pick the right position that will let you cover objectives, civillians and the police force and do it as fast as you can while keeping in touch with your teammates. The game shines on it's higher difficulties where one mistake can fuck up your whole playthrough.

lol
Facial animation plz
You have to understand - none of my friends were playing PayDay when I finally got to try it. So I couldn't play it with anyone within the hour I got to try it.
[editline]13th March 2013[/editline]
And I don't do stranger co-op because I hate rolling the dice about who your teammates might be. Especially for a new player.

Too bad. You seriously missed out.

Hmm that does sound pretty fun. Ill keep tabs and see if I can play it proper again.
Facial animation plz
yep, more animation
also more specialization of weapons, and better stealth could be nice.

I played so much on the free weekend with random people that I ended up getting the game, and then playing it for hours afterwards. I love playing with random people, the Payday community is usually nice and don't give a shit if you're bad; only if you're purposely being bad or you're extremely bad that it's impossible to keep you on the team.

Oh, that's good to hear. I'm so traumatized by my l4d2 vs & dota 2 random match experiences that playing with strangers is bleh for me, lol.
Bit if the community is friendly I might as well give the game a chance during free weekend.
Play with friends, Reimu. You really need to play this game with friends. Randoms often have no idea how to point out the tazer that's fucking them up.
That would be fucking dumb, of course it's still going to be 4 players.
In the first video with all the bags, there's way too many bags for two players to micromanage. Also there's no way they'd get rid of Hoxton and Chains.
I'd bust someone's kneecaps if they got rid of Chains
[editline]14th March 2013[/editline]
There's a lot of things that I hope they improve from the first game, like improve the game's physics, I hate cops teleporting magically through walls, and make the AI more smoother in general
[editline]14th March 2013[/editline]
Levels need to be less linear and have more optional objectives and random occurrences too
interviewer guy: Most heist movies don't start and end in banks—and many of them feature high-speed chases and roadside battles. What are the chances of having missions based on heist films like Ronin, The Italian Job, and Heat?
developer guy: We are super conscious of film and tv tropes and love to make scenarios based on them. That’s about all I can say without getting into trouble, but uh, we like Breaking Bad a lot...
Gee, I bet he's talking about the train scene.

Sprinting animation plz.
Rather than just taking the running animation and speeding it up.
I really do hope the gang haven't changed their personalities at all. It's what makes them all unique. Personally I always enjoyed Hoxton's "Snipers! Keep-a way from th-windows!"
All I'm hoping for is that we get to use our masks from the first game, I love the soundtrack masks

And his long, drawn out "CHAAAAAAAAAIIIINNNNNS' when you call for Chains when you are downed.

Don't worry, Overkill has said that they wouldn't get rid of any main characters.
And one really cool thing about the levels is that you don't have to complete the main objective. For example: You're playing the jewelry store heist when you realize that there's just way too many law enforcers pouring in and that there's no way you're ever gonna get that tiara in time, so now you can just grab the loot bags and get the hell out of there. Of course the pay-off won't be as big, but still it's a lot better than just failing the heist.
I just hope it's still as fast paced. That's what I like about Payday, its extremely fast paced and frantic action.

Myself and a few of my buds tried to finish uhh.. the one with the "rescue the chinaman from the van" mission. Think it's Longbridge or Greenbridge or something, We'd always die at the "holdout" hunk of the mission where you've got to wait for the pilot to fly by and pick the guy up. I'm loving the idea of alternative mission-completion abilities. Like maybe you could've all been wearing life preservers under your kevlar and just 1080 backflipped off the side of the bridge where a boat pulls you out of the water, then there's a big chase where cops in speedboats and helicopters are chasing after you, and you have to kill all the cops before they blow up your boat.

It can be seen in some videos when in the menu, it may be a placeholder though.

The bridge escape is a total HELL if the plane pilot picks up Giant the first time. If he doesn't, you can wait out the assault wave, THEN raise the balloon so the pilot picks him up when you're already 100m away from the scuba gear.

It depends on your actions.
You can do it stealthy and leave without the coppers even knowing that you where there, or you can go in guns blasting and get ready for hell.
In one of the interviews they said that if you kept all the civilians alive the cops might wait behind their cars trying to analyze the situation and negotiate with you before they breach the building. If you go on a killing spree though the cops will pretty much do anything to take you down directly.
