What they did was add new info to the save file and make the game look for that info in the save file. The game checked your old save file and saw that info was missing and declared it corrupt and created a new save file that had that info in it.

I support this. Stop buying shitty second hand russian keys and support the developers. Overkill is pretty awesome and is delivering a great game.

Not everyone can afford 50 dollars for a game, but may have a Bills Hat or Earbuds from their respective promotions which they could trade for the game. Sure Russian versions are cheaper than US or UK versions, but that's just something you need to look out for when trading. Not everyone is deliberately buying Russian versions because they're cheaper, some people just wanted to purchase the game and play it the way they could afford to, and now they're locked out of a game they traded items they had that someone wanted for a copy of said game for. What Steam/Valve/Whoever should just do is make it so if you reside in a region where you will not be able to play the region locked content, you can't trade for/receive it. It could easily prevent things like this.

Can I buy the game with $0.00? I don't find that option on the Steam store.

Right now more games instead of dumb region lock disabling ability to gift certain games. So no gifted copies from RU region, but if you have someone from Russia, he can log in with your account and buy the game for cheaper price.

And then it tells you to have a russian ip to play this game - typical region lock. I have many russian friends and what I heard from em is some of the "locked" games now are playable outside of Russia. But you can't buy it as gift copy. That's all.

Anyone know if GMG has any of the same preorder bonuses as the Steam version has?

Is the career criminal edition like a "digital deluxe" edition that also includes beta access with pre-order or does the career criminal edition and all of the other extra goodies go away after release?
