Probably because it's like talking about abortion. AKA it only leads to arguing and hate and immaturity.
But nobody was even fighting in there, everyone was discussing the logistics and cost of modelling, programming, and voicing new NPC's. Meanwhile you have threads where people spend 7 pages bitching because the guns don't behave like they do in CoD.

"Oh, there's a girl cop. That's nice I guess..."
Found this in the beta I have no idea what it is/was used for.
Yeah, it's one of those after-heist celebration cutscenes. I hope they get a way to work many of those in.
Yeah, it's one of those after-heist celebration cutscenes. I hope they get a way to work many of those in.
Maybe for the special heists or the DLC heists?
That's not the point, that was a surprisingly civil discussion whist some of the more popular threads are flame-fests.
If it was removed, it's safe to assume it was denied. That's all that can really be said. But if they had outright denied it before closing the thread, I can safely say that they would've gotten a lot of comments about "how they're so sexist". This was the proper way to do it in this situation.
Goodnight.
I quite hope we get 10 more levels for 12 skill points per each dlc that comes out, so we can experiment more.
I quite hope we get 10 more levels per each dlc that comes out, so we can experiment more.
That's asking for way too much. I'd say maybe 3 new heists with a few variations.
Some of the stuff I've found in the game, the last one was added in as a bonus (Fucking Electric Center) http://i.imgur.com/l9270R6.jpg http://i.imgur.com/5BAbDHp.jpg http://i.imgur.com/c0Ut4K1.jpg
That's asking for way too much. I'd say maybe 3 new heists with a few variations.
I meant rep levels :v:
Fun fact, they made Electric Center an Infamous item. I think it's pretty fuckin hilarious.
Fun fact, they made Electric Center an Infamous item. I think it's pretty fuckin hilarious.
Yeah, they even made a reference to it in the 4th episode of the Web Series "Crime.net, it's got Electric Center!"
Goodnight.
I just want to make sure and I bet I'm late, does that mask is a reference to Grin? The team before Overkill was made.

So I made a Heavy FBI SWAT surrender. I am an Enforcer, I do not have Dominator. Long Story, I was trying to 'assist' the Mastermind in surrendering FBI SWAT's, by yelling at them when they do. I don't know if it actually helps, but sometimes it seems to, so I do. The first one we tried to surrender died, the second one was KIA before we had a chance. Somewhere between those two, the Mastermind wondered off or focused attention elsewhere. I didn't notice and moved to try and surrender the third and last guy, I shot the FBI Heavy SWAT with my Locomotive, then started yelling. To my surprised, I got an "Okay! Okay!" as dropped his weapon (I did not hear the Mastermind's voice), then he handcuffed himself on my command. Afterward I asked the Mastermind, they told me they didn't do anything, this SWAT surrendered to me. Then he was killed by a teammate 2 seconds later, who claimed the SWAT was still running around (we had pretty obvious sync issues that match, including me seeing the same thing with another surrendered SWAT). Anyway, how the hell did this happen? Did they change it to make cops surrender in special circumstances? Or was I just hit with a very rare benevolent bug?
Think you hit the nail on the head.
Wait isn't this Wolf's backstory exactly? Wolf owned a Swedish software company. During the recession he all his clients left, except one. In order to try and appease this last client, the company ran into the ground, and the client left. Having lost his livelyhood, Wolf went a bit mad and started acting out scenes from action movies (like Heat). That's where he found his new talent, and ended up joining the Payday crew.

Same voice actor (and face too?) as well.
I'd like to see some heists that can either be day or night, would mix things up.
Sometimes when I go to bed, I hear the sound of a broken drill from this game. I don't know why, but I do. :tinfoil:
I'd like to see some heists that can either be day or night, would mix things up.
They should make this a DLC. Night Bank would be neat. You could have the same number of Guards, same patrol patterns and behavior. The difference is the Camera feed is automatically streamed to GenSec HQ at night, so the Cameras are always active. Since nobody needs to watch them directly, the 'Camera Guy' is also out and about. All the doors are closed, and open doors are cause for Alarm, only the Roof may appear open and opening it will not raise an alert. Also, sometimes there might be a Civilian or two working late in the offices (may or may not include the Bank Manager, although he'd have no purpose this time). If a Camera is smashed and there are all the Guards able incapacitated already, GenSec will inform the Police, who will (in a similar manner to PD1's Counterfeit) send over a Police Car to check it out. The car will stop in the parking lot and the Officers will open and enter through either the front or back door. If they see any bodies, they'll call it in and fall back. Not sure what should happen if the Officers are dealt with quietly though (if there should be any way to keep more cops at bay). I'm thinking maybe just the Counterfeit route, where a second car is sent in, and after that, SWAT.

If you'd just been blasted with a shotgun after watching your squadmates and then some mown down, I don't think you'd really be in a position to fight
So the wiki page for Overkill seriously needs to be updated because apparently Ulf is a world renowned chess player, and Bo is a Swedish diplomat.
the other 3 copies from the 4 pack should still have the pre-order bonuses if I send them after release right?
Wolf is kinda based on Ulf Andersson, a developer that was a part of Grin and moved on to Overkill. Same voice actor (and face too?) as well.
Yup. Wolf is pretty much 'Hey let's put ourselves into a videogame' character. Virtually Ulf in every way when it comes to appearance, voice and backstory. I think all the way down to Wolf's age and family. Minus Ulf becoming a criminal of course. Bonus points for anyone who hasn't had it click in their head yet. Ulf, Wolf, W/ulf. Or if you prefer it in a more precise way, Ulf means Wolf, in old Swedish. [editline]11th August 2013[/editline]
So I made a Heavy FBI SWAT surrender. No idea. Sync issues are a pain with international games, mostly in the first game. There's many cases where me and my American friend would be defending a single room, say the elevator room in FWB. He shouts that he's seen a Taser, and I would see an outlined Taser's glow pop up at the front doors of the bank, or on the floor above us. He'd fire at nothing, and the Taser would drop dead from all that distance away, and he'd play his Killed Taser line. I've even see him get randomly incapacitated, shout at a Bulldozer, and see a red outline on a roof inaccessible to players (Slaughterhouse rooftop). As expected once I revived him he shot at thin air, and the Bulldozer died.
There needs to be subtitles for the Crime.net contracts. I just want it to say for Vlad's victory speeches: "[Unintelligible]"
Talking about subtitles. It bothers me a bit when subtitles has different wording, the sound says X word but the subtitle uses Y word for example. Or the subtitle has words the voice file doesn't or the other way around.
So I just noticed on the Wiki's masks page, it states there are 9 kinds of 'default' masks. You got your Preferred Character masks, the ones each crew member is iconic for. You then have each crew member's mask on their own (Infamous), meaning you could drop a 'Dallas (Infamous)' and stick it on Wolf. And finally there is the 'Begins' masks, which is each crew member's mask but solid white, a blank canvas. (Also Infamous) Get a whole bunch of the on their own masks, and rock a crew of 4 Dallases
