And seeing now Payday 2 will have more heist in the release and in future DLCs, good luck finding a specific heist in a specify risk.

I sent an email to Almir explaining that, but I dont think they care much about it.

They should separate risk and difficulty. Sure, High Risk on Easy might be silly, but at least you'll be able to 'tune' heists more to your liking. Plus Low Risk on Overkill would be funny, probably the closest you'd get to a realism mode.
If I pre-ordered the standard edition of Payday 2 would I get access to the beta? (Even though it's like two days until the game is released I'd still like to know)

Only the criminal edition gets the beta.

You need to either own Payday 1 or buy the CCE edition. Also you can get a beta invite from someone else who bought the CCE edition if still has one.
I've lost quite a bit of respect to the Overkill team (Or whoever is in charge of marketing/balancing).
The whole "Cloaker picture" controversy is a complete failure. I mean, they even confirmed there was no "NDA". Everything in the game right now is open up to show to everyone. How is it a crime just to grab a model they left in the beta and replace it with another?
The other thing is their extremely strict punishment for cheaters. I mean, steam banning? Fucking seriously? I feel that the BETA is the best place to have cheaters/exploiters, because then those bugs and cheats can be reported and fixed into the game. If a cheater finds out the saw, or another skill crashes the game on a certain heist in the beta, then that can be fixed before the final game is released, for an example. At the moment, I feel Payday 2 is playable, but there's a lot of glitches, like connection issue (Very tough to deal with, to be honest), or unresponsive civilians, or models going fucking berserk because they touched a car too close. Even then, cheating in a coop game is much less of a big deal than in a competitive one. Sure, it may annoy legit players, but then, you're losing a part of the game by skipping ahead.
The fact the game is releasing in two days, and 75% of the game hasn't been tested yet, while the beta uncovered a lot of bugs and problems with only 25% of the game, is rather worrying. I feel like this game could benefit from a delayed release and more extensive beta testing.
Again, a lot of the requests and ideas thrown by the community, and very vital feedback such as
Crime.net being cool, but very inefficient or;
Card system being unsatisfying
have not been replied to. I mean, I've been checking the steam user forum for payday 2 for the last few days, and those issues, very often seen on the first page and even in the bug report thread, has not gathered any replies from Overkill.
While I understand that the last few days before release are important, I've been feeling like Overkill has given us a bit of a cold shoulder when it is time to consider main game mechanics or functionality.
Gonna post again because I want to know where this list is from.

An achievements list was released detailing all of the heists listed there in different achievements.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/payday-2/achievements/
The main thing i'm worried about is that there's a lot of unfinished/broken shit and the game releases in two days. Sometimes the whole thing will crash, both the game and steam. Their online save backup thing is broken. Fucking crime.net. Weapons only going up to level 35 or so ingame. Disconnects up the wazoo.
Plus their whole stance of "u modify any files we stem ban u >:((((((" is a deterrent as well.
Hell, does it not worry anybody that cloakers which haven't been in beta because "they crash the game" (afaik) were never added into the beta?

Someone here in FP found it in the files.

This list included heists that we found out about later so it's legit(e.g. Mallcrasher, Firestarter).
Although half of those won't be in the final game because of the number.
There are gonna be 17 heists divided between 30 levels and 6 escape missions, this list has way more than that.
Either DLC or removed, I guess.
Also it doesn't include Big Oil

You should contact steam support as the tooltip mentions and ask them to point out the part of the steam ToS it violates. Hint: They won't be able to. Don't do it if you can't be be bothered but it would be great if Valve took notice of their abuse of power in the gamehub and took action against it. They did the same when WarZ devs started deleting negative posts. (That was on a larger scale, but this is still unacceptable.)
Weapons only going up to level 35 or so ingame.
Probably so as not to spoil all the weapons.
man you guys have a seriously warped view of how a game company works
they don't want people to modify game files because its in their eula, tough luck, just don't modify the files and you're fine
most of the game is locked because most of the bugs that the masses will experience are related to the bare essentials of the game, not the heists themselves
they have focus testers and qa testers to figure out the rest, they don't need to open up the full game to fix a few bugs and lose a bunch of preorders (someone gives their friend a beta 10 days before the game is out, friend isn't interested in the game after 60 hours, doesn't buy it)
I think you have gone wrong as a game developer when you personally threaten someones steam account because they replaced a few models to take a funny screenshot.
you can't give special treatment to one person because it sets an example for everyone
if they didn't ban that screenshot, someone else could be like "wow wtf they banned me for raising my skill points but not him for messing with models fuck u overkill!"
Except model swapping and adding skillpoints are two completely different levels?
I think the EULA just shouldn't have applied for the beta.
It's people having fun with your game before it's released. Go be stingy when the game is actually out.
you can't give special treatment to one person because it sets an example for everyone

I would be outraged if they banned someone for editing skill points aswell, the only acceptable thing to ban someone for would be ruining the game experience for other people (on extreme levels) and don't try to say editing skillpoints ruins other peoples experiences the skills can be achieved through normal means aswell. And even then a ban should be a ban from playing the game online, not permanently disabling someones steam account that can contain thousands of dollars worth of games.
both tamper with the game files
So? I should be able to change the game files of a game I own/downloaded so long as it doesn't effect other people's gameplay.
Model swapping? Doesn't effect.
Adding skillpoints? Does.
Are you actually advocating that overkill should blanket delete/ban anyone that messes with game files period?
So? I should be able to change the game files of a game I own/downloaded so long as it doesn't effect other people's gameplay.
You know that's a fancy opinion you got there, too bad it isn't what the law says
Make your own game then you can enforce it
You should contact steam support as the tooltip mentions and ask them to point out the part of the steam ToS it violates. Hint: They won't be able to.
Don't go there. As far as the ToS are concerned, you don't even own the games you have on your steam account

Sorry but if someone came into my server and dropped 50 sentry guns while running around being nigh-invincible, I think my play experience would be ruined.
yeah, its their game, they made it, they can do what they want with their product, if it goes so far as to them banning you for violating their rules, then tough luck
I don't even know how to respond to this. You are actually saying "the customer can't do what they want to their game because the devs say so."
Fuck your rules. If I buy a game I should be able to modify it just as I damn please so long as it doesn't give me an advantage over other players.
except it could ruin someones experience, what if someone spoofs themselves as level 1s but actually have every skill in every tree unlocked, and just go around to new players' lobbies and fuck around
yeah some people like that shit but i'd say a majority wouldn't
and please for the love of god don't say "well then they shoulda did PRIVATE LOBBY!"
Yes that would be a problem but really what can he do? He can make the heist easy for the team, if it's really that bad they can just leave/kick the player. But yes still it is a problem but I don't think it would warrant a permanent ban from online play.

Swapping models is cheating now
[editline]11th August 2013[/editline]
Have you even been reading my posts?
There may or may not be more people replying to this thread than you and me
You were responding to me though in your last post.
Overkill have been babies about the whole situation Regardless on your stance on modifying game files to even swap models, them threatening to tell Valve on you for even discussing hacking is schoolyard tactics pulled by eight year olds, let alone their reluctance to listen to anyone except for the 'pro' community for feedback.

Cheating sucks.
But banning an entire Steam account just for cheating in one game sucks even more.
