man i dont want to grind for colours. in a day or 2 there will be a save edit which gives you all the stuff if its an awful rate for drops which makes the whole thing worthless

I very much like is extreme disapproval of micro-transactions, which could have easily end up in the game with a system like that.

I'm hyped as shit for Payday 2, but the really really rare drops for things like solid colors seems like it'll only cause problems.

It's cosmetic. It'll hardly cause problems. I wouldn't even want an edited save personally, because doing that is just going to bring you back to not feeling like you've earned anything at the end of a heist.

That is also getting me worried, I hope they aren't all gameplay related DLCs. The Wolf pack gave me enough problems being limited in some stuff.

The image at the bottom right hand corner of the selected icon absolutely suggests an in-depth lifeguard minigame.

Unlike Borderland 2 where you can find a gold weapon that goes bad in a few levels, the rare drops in this seem a lot more fulfilling to me. Masks are cosmetic and the weapon upgrades will feel like a big deal if it's one-time use and not "you found/unlocked it; enjoy it forever" stuff.
I'm looking forward to not cheating on Payday 2 so I can flip a fucking chair when I get something rare.
