i was pretty disappointed with the bank at the end of firestarter or whatever it's called, it was just slapped on, added some electricity to the door and bam, a "whole new way to play!"

When i got to the end day i tough OH YEAH WHAT NEW THING WILL I....why i am on the bank level again..
and then it all went into a downhole

I am gonna try firestarter later or tomorrow and see what it's about since I can't do the frames heist because of the swat teams on the first level bursting out everywhere or it was just me as a low level well I guess I am gonna do it again.
I agree on some points, but disagree on others.
Unlike you, I love the gameplay in PD, I don't have problems with that.
I completely agree on Crime.net(worst idea ever, fucking retarded) and the maps being better in PD1.
I actually also dislike the idea of shorter heists with multiple days, I prefer the long heists from the original game. It was more satisfying finishing them, but that's just my opinion
PD2 might have more heists, but at the end they don't feel as rich. When they said 17 heists I was expecting most of them to be like in the first game.
I still wouldn't say the original is better because it has way more content when it comes to other stuff like masks, weapons, attachments, mechanics, and better gunplay, but the heists are just...ugh
I really want PD1 heists DLC, Overkill pls
I'm not impressed with the heists at all. The only really unique ones are the FBI one, the Art theft one (Which is broken difficult if you screw up) and Rats due to the whole meth cooking parts, as well as the choices to make for either robbing them blind, or taking the dirty route with the gangsters.
Most of the other missions are just "Break in, pack up, run to van/chopper with generic loot". Nothing like blowing up a prison vehicle to rescue some guy who you identified with a codeword, to then defend him on a tower while we wait for a plane to pick him up via balloon.
i think overkill vision was start with smaller and quickuier heists ( Disco,Jewelry ) and then escalate to the bigger ones ( Framing Frame, Firestarters etc ) but it seems they just shoved all of them in a weird way having no sense of progression when it comes to heists..
Anyone know of a conclusive mouse lag fix? It is really pissing me off...
used a decent strategy for card farming.
get 4 players, each search for jewelry on normal.
when someone finds on invite others/join the game
literally run into store grab bag run out (you only need 3 bags)
get in van.
the whole heist can be done in 20 seconds. add the time for xp and cash, around 1 minute per payday card.
I wish in the safehouse you had to open the vault every time you loaded in, it would make it alot more satisfactory, realistic as well

If you've got the saw Four Stores is pretty fast too, just go for the ATMs, doesn't even matter if the locked door blocks your escape, just saw that too.

Did you try limiting the FPS from the graphics menu? It's set to 145 automatically, and states that lowering it will reduce mouse lag.
Vsync seems all kinds of broken in Payday. Capping fps to 75 by itself works perfectly for me.
Though the game keeps crashing when I steal my meth back. Aww.
Did Rats on Overkill, carried the group.
Got kicked at the very end as we returned to the helicopter.
This shit needs to be bannable.
Doing the mission with the paintings on overkill and we had a saw guy wasting his time cutting all paintings but the sold ones then when he gets to the sold ones, he leaves one bar on them so we can't grab them. We then got to the last mission and he was hiding and crap and then we all went down and never got anything except for the first part's payout.
im pretty heart broken with the 17 Heists thing too
i tough it "was" 17 new heists and not a huge load of variations of bank and reused levels
So does this mean that the re-used heists like deposit boxes and gold each count as a unique heist among those 17? If it does then goddamn, that's stupid. They could've at least made different banks for each one.
Need to start playing with people with mics. I've been enjoying the game, but it seems so tame with no one talking and taking orders or just overall coordination.
I'm surprised everyone's had so much trouble with the gallery heist.
With a team of level 1 - 2 randoms we finished the heist with 6 paintings pretty easily.

Even if you count those as separate heists, it's still below 17 heists for like 3.
There's still hope that that's not true, but I am sceptical
Math time:
Currently known heists are: Rats, Four Stores, Watchdogs, Nightclub, Framing Frame, Bank Heist, Jewelry Store, Mallcrasher, Firestarter, Big Oil
That's exactly 10
If Ukrainian Job is considered as a separate heist(and probably is) that's 11.
Now if Bank variations are considered too then it's 13 heists.
So we have 4 to 7 unknown heists left.

People have been doing this for as fast as 17 seconds for quite a while now (2 weeks maybe)

People are talking about stage 3, not stage 1 where you steal the paintings.

Tried that, no change. Hell, even when I crank everything to barebones, it looks like shit and STILL runs like shit.
This is very depressing. I have been looking everywhere for a fix to all these FPS/lag problems, and so far, nothing.

And no one's at level 100 yet to confirm how many unlock along the way, right
And no one's at level 100 yet to confirm how many unlock along the way, right
You're correct.
I'm like 90% sure that the last heist(most likely lvl 100) is the Election Day heist that Overkill(or Bain) keeps hyping.
But for the other ones I have 0 idea
On a scale of one to 10 how much better is Payday 2 than The Heist?
On a scale of one to 10 how much better is Payday 2 than The Heist?
11

Well assuming The Heist is at 5, I'd say about a 7.

"So.. what's up?"
"not much, just hanging out."
Sometimes things in this game just make me stop and actually get angry. Got kicked from a Ukrainian job mission because the host wouldn't admit that his dipshit friend shot and killed a guard while we were stealthing, I told him that you can SEE that my ammo is full.
"No you liar you refilled your ammo somehow, bye!"
Yes. Yes. Yes. Of fucking course.
