I bet that 'xyzevan' gets banned by Almir for cheating. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. He wasn't even being that rude, he was clearly disappointed with the lack of promised/implied content.
Also, Almir mentioned how the cloakers wouldn't be $10 DLC. But he didn't say anything about the cost of the Safehouse customization. The way they promised it to us was actually really cunning. We knew it was going to be in the game, because Bain said so. He also said something about it being later. So, in beta we would assume that as there are out of place brick walls and boxes everywhere that we might get to do it in the full release. They promised it to us, without giving us any details. If it's a paid DLC, I don't think I'll touch it.

Just because the game is enjoyable it doesn't mean we should ignore lies about the amount of content the game should have. And deleting threads asking where the rest of the heists are makes the whole situation even better.
Until they say they'll add the remaining content for free in a future update, people should continue bitching.
You also can't compare this to bitching about stuff they never promised like bigger amount of weapons or masks.
I wouldn't even say Safehouse customization was promised, Bain only said you'll be able to. The devs never actually said it's gonna be in the full game or if it's gonna be free.

Well, it was more so about people not getting what the game was going to be released for. The content that was going to come with the game.
Remember WarZ? Remember the big ass fuss about the map not being as big as they proclaimed. Or having near amount of content it was offering? Remember how it was withheld from Steam for a few weeks? Yeah. Overkill didn't have that happen to them, to my surprise, because the ambition of people defending the game are too stubborn to realize that they did get jipped of their money.
Before you go frolicking at the mouth, hear me out. When the beta was released, it was a drone of things going on. People just wanted to get into it, no matter what. But that was a beta to get tested, and to fix things. They fixed a fair amount, but they also have no fixed things, that were in the first game. Perhaps it dragged over from the previous scripting or engine, I don't know. I haven't taken any classes to find out, or be knowledgeable of where it comes from.
The problem with players bitching about the game, is that it is criticism. When you spend $30, or $50 on the CCE, they expect a quality, batched game. Not something where the game crashes constantly, where you cannot even get into a match and connect to the host properly, or where the cops phase through walls, and have unexpected animations. I could really make a list, but I feel my post is already too long.
You have friends to play with, good for you. Because that's the only quality this type of game has to hold it's grasp. It's not fun playing with pubs. There are too many people misinformed on this game, and they just expect it to be a run around, and fuck everything up game. Albeit, that's kind of what it is, with the current state of artificial difficulties of cops being bullet sponges, or shooting through walls because of the host to client lag, or even phasing past you, to end up on the other side of you, because of that. It becomes a little embarrassing.
Needless to mention that they didn't even put in the splinter cell dude. The game release did not even put in the cloaker. I know they're saying they're fixing, and patching, and blah blah. But a game release, that has them in it, but if you tamper with the files, you'll get banned? That's pretty fucked up.
If they knew there was so many problems, why did they release it in the state that they did? Were they not expecting this much backlash? Or were they relying on the Overkill humpers to do their damage control for them?

Indeed. No game is perfect on launch day, but they had a lot of time to improve the game from beta, but it doesn't seem like they even care about the criticism. At least they fixed some critical bugs like the crashing and assets missing.

I realize that. People will have fun with the game. Hell, it's probably a great game. It still doesn't need to hide the facts from their eyes. When they take money from people, not everyone will say, "AW YEAH MAN, AWESOME GAME!". There is going to be people that expected more, and wanted more from a release. Even though Overkill is a small nitpit group, I can't say much, because I know that they are either doing their best to add in content, or slugging through damage control reports, and trying to justify their means.
When in all reality, it's unfinished, we all know that. It's just up to them to do both damage control, as well as push their tiny arses off to get content out to appease the masses.

I'm from the UK, and my cousin lives in New Zealand I was talking to her at about 9AM this morning (UK time) So, I must have been on Payday 2 up until about 8AM. Although, I was probably just making up for the eight or so hours it took me to finish 2% of the download. :v:
