It's not without its problems, but judging from the feedback in this thread, it has enough content to keep someone busy for quite a bit. All the content which didn't make it to release (including the cloaker and the customizable safehouse) is being added Soon™.
Even if its not "worth" the immediate $30 in the short term, it will get progressively more expansive over time.
Is the Sentry from Technitian tree worth it? I am totally not a stealth guy, so I'm thinking to spend points in Technitian tree until I get the Sentry, and then spend all the points in Enforcer.

Because he was most people's favourite, so they decided. Let's make it a paid DLC or use it to hype the game.

Pretty nice. Can provide some cover for your team mates or for you. Great to put next to a drill or what not so when you're fixing you get some covering fire.
Also if you're not into stealth maybe get the C4? Will help you and your team even more, depending if you have the skill points for it.

We don't know how much free content they're going to release though. Most might just be paid DLC.
The only thing we know is free are the cloakers.
And now the game just closes whenever I try and open "Bank Heist" level in any form.

i'm not gonna link it (it's easily findable through Google) but if you get your hands on it, place all of the files that you downloaded into the PAYDAY 2 directory. Start game, (you WILL lose your save as it appears when you have it enabled, the game thinks that your original save file is corrupt and will make you a knew one so try to back it up if you can. I'm not 100% if that will work though so you do it at your own risk), start a heist in offline mode, press Insert, pres esc, go to DEBUG, and there you go. Word of warning; the debug menu contains xp, money, and item unlock options so if you feel extremely tempted to use them, I wouldn't use the menu if I where you. There's also a noclip option which is useful for exploring the levels and a few commands to disable/enable team AI (as well as civ/cop AI I believe not 100% certain). I'm not exactly sure how to do the whole Dallas thing (if I did, I wouldn't post it here or anywhere public for that matter) but, don't be an idiot and use it in a pub game that you're hosting.
it's also pretty unstable as sometimes it'll close and crash the game and give no reason.

The AMR-16 rules. It's better than the AK 7.62 stock but it suffers from lower damage.
It's kind of sad that I won't unlock any new weapons now, though.

They can't really do anything about it. The LUA files for the game have already been pretty much deciphered and there are some people on other forums that have been able to modify and overwrite scripts and such. So unless they want to go on a witch hunt, they're not going to get anywhere with having that policy.

I got 81 hours out of the beta.
The content is there it's just there was more content in the beta than the actual release so people are disappointed.
Go for it, it's definitely not just a "left 4 dead mod" any more.
