I'll be buying an SMG to go with the Ghost perks. But before I start focusing on those skills, are SMGS worth it? I'll be putting a silencer on and getting the perk that increases damage with silenced weapons. So what I'm asking is Silenced Pistol + Silenced Perks or Silenced SMG + Silenced Perks+ SMG Perks?

It does shit for damage still. Especially on higher difficulties when you get the armored FBI guys.

if you can get the front section of the MP5 replaced (thus turning it in to an MP5SD) then it's worth it. The barrel attachments that add silencers on it reduce the damage down to complete uselessness against armored targets as said above
I'd recommend getting the mp9 if you just want to slap a silencer on it but the mp5SD in the end is amazing because it has such little damage reduction
I for one loved the MP5, and I had the big 'ol handguard suppressor MP5SD version in the beta. No damage output at all? It's a headshot machine. You spam into their head and with its tiny recoil and huge ammo capacity you can get kills no problem. Alternatively, you can use it in the beginning of missions so that by the end where you're using your rifle you have way more ammo. And after rearming, you can burn through ammo with it rather rapidly via full auto and not have to care, getting you 5-10 extra kills without spending primary ammo.

yeah, converting it to an SD doesn't do any damage reduction iirc but if you just tack a silencer on top of the barrel and call it a day then the payoff is your damage output becoming practically nill
Already cannot wait for Payday 1 maps to be ported in the two.

Okay, thanks. Is there no equivalent to that barrel attachment for the Mp9?
The suppressors reduce damage [I]so much[/I] it's almost ridiculous. I'm pretty sure if the Bernetti did any less damage, it would heal people.
The auto glock secondary is really good too, especially if you have skills to lower pistol recoil.

Just solo'd Jewelry Store twice and Four Stores once (mainly because I couldn't find it after a few minutes) because the pubbies I was playing with could not wrap their head around "Get a bag, run to the car."
Eh, coulda been worse, but in the end it only payed out a few thousand.
i can easily say payday 2 is [I]not[/I] a stealth game, it's a "crouch around guards with cameras up their ass" game.

I don't know why I have a suppressor on my sidearm. I don't think I've once used it stealth. Beside the blunt part of the gun to the back. Whenever I fire it in stealth everyone hears it through the walls. I just realised it's pretty much pointless.
I don't even know why I like the Bernetti so much, it's just lovely. Especially with the special slide that makes the top part white. Reminds me of Resident Evil.
