I'll still enjoy Payday 2, but if Overkill makes the new characters like the ones seen in the web series then it will be a little disappointing for me. It will still be a good game, but I won't care about the characters at all.

As a fan of the first game it feels really awkward for Overkill to completely replace the old characters but keep their names. I'd rather have them go one way or the other, replace them with an entirely new crew or keep the old one but with new voice actors.
Anyways Goldfarb isn't really that clear on the subject either. Some players are saying that only the old crew is returning with new voice actors while others are saying the opposite. We'll have to wait and see I suppose.

I'm thinking their appearances are just updated and new VA since they can get new and reliable ones due to more dosh to spend.
