I love chains. He's so black
not sure why he's crying to the other crew members when he's down though
maybe he had a bad experience in jail?
So apparently if you're close to a wall and a Shield Cop bashes you, you'll fly straight through the wall. This just happened to me.

Suffice to say, my incapacitated teammates were not impressed by me falling through the floor into the unknown (Though if you fall far enough the game is programmed to teleport you back to the map).
dont be tricky
chains hates tricky
Playing this with 3 other friends for hours today. I've gone from level 12 to level 51 today. Our team is one of every spec so we can fly through some missions. Having a full team, all specced around each other is amazing.
Why is steam downloading a Payday 2 1GB update? 957.6MB to be exact.
It's the new patch.
Why is steam downloading a Payday 2 1GB update? 957.6MB to be exact.
I've also gone from 11GB free space to 700MB. Why does Payday 2 do this?
It's the new patch.
You're kidding. Right? 1GB for what they stated? Which then uses 10GB of my Hard drive space? What the fuck? I don't have enough games to delete if every patch is going to take up 10GB of space.
So regarding the new update. If you have 2 of the same weapon mod, it no longer drops.
So if you manage to find 2 of every mod, then do all of your cards at the end of a job become only money and mask cards?
dont be tricky

I once knocked a guard out and had to answer the pager as Chains..
"What's going on out there?"
"Thought I saw my wife and my neighbor. Crazy, right?"
"Hmm, yeah yeah, okay. Don't let it happen again."

One would assume so, but knowing Overkill it'll just start giving random weapon mods.

That happened to me in the Bank Heist except I got knocked through a door, specifically the vault door.

Nah, you just won't get the flashlight if you already have 2 of them. You'll get something else.
So my friends and I just did a deposit box heist since it's supposedly more rewarding. Well, it was, until the van refused to open its back door for our 6 or 7 bags. Has that happened to anyone else?
Big shout out to the m308 for absolutely destroying FBI super heavy swats witha single shot the face

did you pick every single deposit box while you were in there?

When I did it, I only got 300k extra (except the four extra bags) for spending one hour and five minutes solo pick locking every single box. Luckily the van opened for me though.
Opens doors only at teir 5 when you ace a skill and a buzzsaw is actually faster (and if you don't have either, you can usually just find the keycard)
Yeah, it's for stealth. Sawing open a door isn't stealth. For example, if the Bank Manager won't come outside or doesn't have his keycard, then you aren't gonna get in that security office to disable the cameras.
Blocks phones, this is what a mastermind does without needing a deployable (and his teir 4/5 ability pretty much ensures it never happens simply by shooting in the air).
It's 100% reliable. Mastermind needs to go throughout the area and make sure nobody is calling the cops. ECM Jammer guarantees nobody is calling the cops.
Does not delay police assault
Neither does Mastermind. Or Enforcer. Or Technician.
Radius is decent when you upgrade it, which requires you to ace a teir 4 skill
Meanwhile you're saying Mastermind is superior while listing off T6 skills.
Blocking guard radios is decent, but again the mastermind can do that much better without needing a deployable to do it
You can block one, and only if you catch him before he goes into 'combat mode'. I will admit though it would be nice if the ECM blocked pagers (why do pagers function when nothing else does?).
I literally fail to find where this thing is seriously useful. none of those situations are make or break in usefulness to dedicate an entire deployable to, and you need to dedicate most of your time into Ghost in order to start getting use out of it which would have better been spent doing mastermind
It can be very useful if you get creative. I've seen it used to block camera feed while a guard's pager is answered and his body removed before the camera comes back online. More commonly, I've seen it used to block camera feed while storming the Bank, just long enough for us to break open the security door. And lastly, I've seen it used to block camera feed on the camera monitoring the security door, get in and kill him, not all cameras and offline for good.
Yeah Ghost and Technician are underpowered and a little less creative, but imo they should just buff them instead. Add new skills, combine old ones, and offer free respec to previous Ghosts / Technicians (because they may want to re-adjust their character for the new options).

I agree, except it should be offered to everyone as some people might reconsider Ghost/Technician if it's been buffed.
How does ECM Feedback even work? Personally I grabbed it and got out of Ghost after seeing it's not exactly that useful and grabbed technician for the Shaped Charges.
Also I view Ghost as more of a "side" tree.

It works by disabling mobile phones/cameras etc. Allowing you to delay civilians long enough to cable time them (if there's a lot) or to sneak past areas guarded by cameras.
Ghost's my main tree and if you like solo, and are good at stealth it can be really useful and quite rewarding.
I fucking love Wolf's recycled single line when calling Chains to revive him

Because an update went live two hours ago
I'm level 36 and still using the CAR-4.
I got a few mods on it controlling the recoil and adding a bit more power and it seems to just be better in general than all the other guns.
Am I right or is there something wrong with my technique?
[editline]17th August 2013[/editline]
AUG and short shotty.
AUG's recoil make it almost useless.
I don't really believe in the recoil stats
some of the guns like the AK7.62 say they have "high recoil" but there's actually like none. There's like a 20 degree hike upwards but once you correct for that you can just keep spraying and hitting targets dead-on as if there's not even a big issue
the AUG is absolutely worthless though, as is the car-4. The only good thing about them are the modules to make them look fancy
