By chance do you have the lucky charm skill aced or you didn't use it ?
Also, this is the highest amount I have ever gotten or seen anyone get from a heist (this was the middle of the day yesterday, so before the pile got so big). We had a really good run on Firestarters +3.

If that was from firestarter than DAMN I better play that, framing frames, and big oil more often than the other one's.
Also I really hope at least some of the DLCs are for free, I'm kind of getting tired of the game already
They said that it will be a mix. Some maps will be paid for and others will be free like Mercy Hospital.
What I'm really hoping for though is the ability for players who haven't purchased DLC to still be able to participate in the maps provided that the host has it purchased like in the last game.
Am I the only one of the opinion that there is a rather acceptable amount of maps?
Most modern triple A titles at 60 dollars release with around 8-15 multiplayer maps. Some of which may end up being sections of singleplayer just cut out. Payday 2 has around 10-14 unique maps (I haven't played through some, I know at least 10 minimum however.) Payday 2 is 30 dollars and made by a 20 man team who doesn't have 20 million dollars to hire a 100+ man team. Their publisher is a company who isn't the largest one either and is mostly used by smaller companies.

We managed to complete day two in like, five minutes. One of the guys in our group was an idiot so as we were trying to sneak in the side, he shot through the window and killed a guard on patrol. We just rushed in, found the server room and got to work. I picked the first door then put an ECM jammer on the keycard door, then we drilled through the gate. While I was doing this, another guy had C4 and went to do the lock up and blew the gate open. We ran the bags out (I think there were four bags of coke, don't remember so well), got back, protected the drill for a moment, then grabbed the server and ran.
We also got lucky on the first day because it picked the first warehouse on the left, so the weapons were pretty much right next to us from the start.
That group was really good, everyone used voice (except me because I don't talk, but I type incredibly fast so it wasn't an issue), we had a pretty good spread of skills, and just in general we worked well together. I think I played with them for probably five hours nonstop. The Firestarters run was early on, and the idiot on Day 2 left when we were being critical of him for fucking that up, and he was immediately followed by a guy who was really good.
I hope the Armored Car DLC will be more than just a new heist
New escape heists with Armored Cars *Zing*
I know it's been said before, and let me go ahead and state I am enjoying the game, but I really do feel kind of cheated.
Overkill stated before the game was out that they had already made a profit from pre-orders alone. That is quite impressive and it was the reason that finally made me go over the edge and buy the game. Obviously if the beta is so amazing that they've already made a profit the game itself is going to be even greater!
Yet when playing the game, it's really evident that things were rushed. There are more bugs than a Bethesda game, the level:loot ratio is terrible as is the difficulty:money ratio in some missions where it's either horribly low payout or super high payout for something easy, some weapons are downright bad without mods which you are never guaranteed to get, crime.net being a cool idea but poorly executed, no safehouse customization, and what really bugs me is that it looks like they plan to release a lot of the promised content as paid DLC.
They had plenty of money to develop the game fully, there's no excuse for a bunch of paid-DLC heists down the road when they made even on pre-orders alone. They could have not spent so much making the webseries and put that money into the game. Yeah, it's fucking awesome but I bought Payday 2 to play the game, not for the webseries. Then there are other problems such as the whole syncing thing, connectivity errors, ect that really make playing a pain sometimes.
Also, the CAR 4 is my favorite primary weapon in the whole game. So many mods, high ammo count, good damage, accurate, good stability, good visibility, good mobility. When you've modded it like mine, there is almost no recoil, the visibility is so low it's actually cut away a third of the lowest visibility bar, and I still tear through enemies.

I still need to get a stealth barrel, and I'm not sure if I'll use either of the stocks you can put on it.

This is what I hate.
People that don't really want to complain because they are a small company. I don't care how small or big you are, if you promise the consumers something and deliver less than half than what is promised, you deserve backlash.
I really like the skull mask I got with my pre-order, I think I'm going to make it gold when I eventually unlock it.
I figure it'd be the ultimate exclusive item. It doesn't look like a lot of people on Xbox pre-ordered so I'd be one of the few with it, let alone gold.

no, just randomly got it

You know I kind of wondered, my friend's dad is a cop and he refuses to buy/play Payday because he thinks its wrong "just killing cops doing their job" yet when hes on GTA4 hes blowing up police helicopters with RPGs.
Do you just not even give the slightest fuck? I'd love to tell my friend.

Unfortunately what you promise (By the way, I disagree on it being a promise. They may have planned for 17 heists and thought they had enough time but I don't think you should ever take what a developer says as a promise unless they explicitly state it will happen.) and what reality dictates are two entirely different things.
Fuck this game.
4 times today, I've worked my ass off on the longer heists and I get CTD on last day. Fuck. This. Game.

I lot of elder cops to care and think its wrong.. all the young ones play it and know its just a game. I really dont care. Its just a game to me. For all I care, I could be shooting walking cinderblocks.

Fuck everything about Big Oil.

Wow, you really seem to just hate the ghost skill tree.
I don't hate it I just wish ECM was useful?
I'm primarily a ghost player. I'd be nice if it was possible to dedicate to ghost though on your average game
Stupid question: you can buy perks with money? I'm asking because i saw on some videos that it says "4 skills points to unlock/$400.000 to unlock" or something like that. Or is actually necessary to have money and skills points to learn them?

You need both required skill points and the amount of cash to unlock or ace a perk.
I don't hate it I just wish ECM was useful?
I'm primarily a ghost player. I'd be nice if it was possible to dedicate to ghost though on your average game
It actually is fairly useful, particularly in the upper tiers. Having the upgraded version that can open doors is nice and makes quickly running through levels a lot easier. Also, it actually will delay the police from being called even if you go loud, I found this out on Ukrainian Job yesterday. I set one up on the wall outside the store right before someone ran in to the building and set off the metal detector. Normally the police would immediately be called, but they weren't, and I put up a second one right before the first ended which also delayed it. They didn't get the call until after that one had ended and by then we were running to the van already.
One thing that wasn't mentioned for some reason is that they actually disable cameras while they are active. You get either ten or fifteen seconds where all cameras in range are disabled by default. They are useful. But you're still better off just having a Mastermind than a Ghost.

Has anyone tried the lucky charm skill not aced and aced ? I want to know the difference in masks/material/paint drops. And I always kept getting weapon mods yesterday and today but got a vampire mask today... waiting for a infamous mask hopefully and material and such.
Goddamn did gold bank heist on overkill for the hell of it with my bf and two (russain) pubbies (why is every pubbie I play with russian?). Level 15-16, our highest level player is like 29 or so with everyone near my level
Fucking aced that shit, managed to get every bag out. It wasn't too bad really, I thought I'd get obliterated. Our saving grace was the escape van being located in the back. We would have been demolished if we had to go through the tiny army out front
Got like $150k from it plus 2.5 level ups
EDIT: Oh shit just realized the reason why everyone is russian is because my download server is set to siberia (best speeds on launch day) :v:

ECM is tons of useful once you upgrade it and get two
So what does the Oppressor skill actually do? It says that your weapons becomes more effective at suppressing enemies. What does that mean? Do you do more damage? Do you stun them more often? What?
So what does the Oppressor skill actually do? It says that your weapons becomes more effective at suppressing enemies. What does that mean? Do you do more damage?
