I hope chains wasn't there.
crime net was a decent idea but really it's just an annoyance
I wouldn't even go so far to call it a decent idea.
It's fucking terrible
I wouldn't even go so far to call it a decent idea.

It's part of the game. It's there so people mix it up and don't just do the same heist over and over again, but they didn't even bother balancing the heists on a time:money basis, nevermind on a card basis, so Crime.net ends up just seeming like a waste of time to people, who go out of their way to do the same heist over and over BECAUSE of the balancing (or complete lack thereof).
It's a good idea with a bad execution amongst other things that make it pointless.
Give us the ability to select difficulty. Make regular heists pop up more often. Make pro jobs pop up less often. Give us more heists.
Crime net would make some sense if there was a real progression to unlocking heists
Basically you need to be high level and have good guns. Shotguns are recommended doubly so if you're Enforcer. Otherwise the AK.762 and AMR-16 are great for dealing with them. Some people say the M308 but I disagree, personal experience dictates that the M308 takes 2 headshots to take out a Heavy.
M308 is love M308 is life
I usually cover from the right side (relative to where the truck is facing) on the first mission, while everyone else is in the windows, and that crossroads stays clean. I get to kill the ones on the opposite balcony to my teammates too.
Seriously, that gun with a Jaeger stock, holo sight and Tank muzzle brake are impossible to not do good with. The only drawback is magazine and reserve ammo capacity, but that's null when I can shit out 2 ammo bags and camp the same spot. I've had it single-shot heavies on some missions but take 2 on others, not sure if it's a consequence of difficulty, range, point of impact or whether or not I forgot to put on the Tank

THIS
Overkill seriously needs to listen to their community asap, i guess we will see in the next update if its someting worth

How about the heist pops up and you get to choose the difficulty and whether it is pro mode or not so you dont have to fiddle

Agree with the former.
Disagree with the latter.
Pro jobs are supposed to be pro jobs cause they're rare.
Also uhhhhh

What? Now I have 2...? Does it drop because I bought the CCE or is it just a general rare drop so CCE got us nothing ontop of our nothing?

Try verifying the game cache in Payday 2- Properties - local files
Crime net would make some sense if there was a real progression to unlocking heists
crimenet seems like it was there to show hiests and go Oooh we havent seen that before/in a while to break the repetetiveness. the problem is there are only 10 hiests. Its like putting your ipod on shuffle with only 10 songs.
I think it would be cool if they added a campaign mode where you progressed through the heists in order like starting off with the small time crimes such as four stores, mall crashers and Jewelery store (and Ukrainian) then progress to watchdogs and so on.
If they do this, they should add some overarching effects based on if you stealthed it or how many civilians you killed during the previous heists. For killing civilians, the cops might rock up faster with more snipers and special units or jump into an assault a lot quicker. If you kept stealthing the heists before the cops came, there might be additional security cameras, guards and other measures in place to try and detect you quicker.

"GETONTHEGODDAMN GROUND!"
Chains and Hoxton swapped spots on my list from the first game. My favorite is always Wolf, then Hoxton was next, then Dallas was just a nonentity to me really, he never seemed that interesting. Then Chains was at the bottom, I really just didn't like him. Now its Wolf, then the new Chains who I actually really like. Then Dallas is still a nonentity. Then Fauxton who should just not talk at all and preferably just stay in the van.
Its kinda weird, on rare occasions you'll hear where they obviously left a couple of old Hoxton's audio in and it'll play. I've heard it a few times.

Then people would never stealth.

One is to give it this sense that these are just random jobs popping up like its a real, live thing, dynamic thing. The other reason was to try to prevent people from grinding by making it so they couldn't pick one heist and play repeatedly, they had to deal with whatever the game gave them. Hasn't worked out like that in practice.

I'm pretty sure it primely exists to be like you're actually using Crimenet, waiting for whatever preferred job to appear through all the notifications that pop up, accept the contract, and roll out.
Well, that's how I see it.
is this ~election day~ at level 100 a real thing or
is it just some rumor
Ok seriously what the fuck were they smoking when they did Big Oil ?
Did they really think players would be like "oh sweet, chemistry into my action heist game" ? Did they really think we would enjoy looking at numbers and letters on whiteboards, computers screens and twelve complex engines that look strongly similar while getting assaulted by turtle swats ?
I bought Payday 2 to have fun and shoot things, not learning chemistry.
I'm not mad about the chemistry thing itself but how complex it is. It's really not fun to lurk around the house to find clipboards and intel about the engine, checking pressure and all the bullshit. This is so confusing.
Rats also has chemistry but it's way more simple. All you have to do is learning what out of the three ingredients you have to use to cook meth. Then you just listen to Bain.
No wonder why everyone flee when the host wants to play Big Oil.

It's to give you a sense that you're actually helpless when it comes to taking the right engine, that you know very little on the subject, and that you have to use the limited resources around you to figure it out.
If we don't get old Hoxton back, then someone gonna need to make a mod with his voice.
but then the person who makes the mod will get banned becouse - it changes the experience-
