Try stealthing it. Try not stealthing it. Try it on overkill. Do it in singleplayer. Do it with a different group of friends. See if you get a different variation.
The fun is limitless, I just don't understand.
Honestly I've done all that, including 'try singleplayer' as a goddamn Enforcer.
90 hours in the beta
barley 15 into the actual game since release.
Ugh, I've never been so let-down before on a game, before. The beta really did give the illusion that you'll receive so much more in the full game.
90 hours in the beta
why would you do that
[editline]20th August 2013[/editline]
unless you were looking for bugs
i concurr, not to mention the beta at least for me was 100% more reliable than the full game ( connection lost, random crashing etc)

Nope that's where your backup save goes.
port over first world bank, give the manager a shotgun (mob bank), make the safe electrified and add it to the end of firestarter please.
it wouldn't even be a lot of effort and it'd make fire starter so much better
That sounds just like The Dark Knight :P

I assumed that's what they were going for in Firestarter day 3
I won't lie and say the game wasn't worth it, 25 hours into the beta and 45 into the actual game before I started to get bored it's many more hours than I usually get out of a game. I think that everyone's just kinda miffed about the potential there is for some better heists, and angry that Overkill rushed release and didn't fulfill their promises because it's generally bad business practices and while the end result was an amazing game things won't always work out that way, so I hope Overkill learns from their mistakes and we see some great content in the future!

This pretty much went into the Borderlands 2 syndrome, everyone thinks it's the greatest game ever as they keep showing things for it, then disappointment a few days after release. But, people still found ways to find enjoyment in the game and keep playing until the DLC came out, then while it became a bit subpar, then good, then pretty crap, they went out with a bang with the 4th DLC for the game, and they're not done yet so I have no doubt DLC for this game will add quite a few hours of playtime. I'd spent about 50-60 hours on Payday: The Heist, after I got the Wolf Pack, that pretty much doubled because even though that was sorta little content for only $10, I still enjoyed the fuck out of it. Give Payday 2 time, it will gather up steam as the DLC come out, just like Borderlands 2.
Also I agree, for 9 tf2 keys this game was a bargain.

I totally agree with the comparison to Borderlands 2. Everyone hyped the FUCK out of that game and then the SPUF community lost their minds about how much they thought it sucked.
And here I am, over a year later, still playing and loving every minute. Hopefully, this will happen to PD2 as well.
Can someone explain why people on SPUF keep calling heists "cheese"? Not "cheesy", just "cheese".

It's funny because although I never played the first Borderlands, my friend says it was overhyped and kinda dull. They loved Borderlands 2 though, and so did I.

Isn't cheese a censor word on SPUF?

Word filter I think, like 'gently caress' on Something Awful.
I really like the Joker skill
[t]http://i.imgur.com/VBccrQ3.jpg[/t]
I named him Scooter <3 (he yelled "Shoot and scoot!" as i was beating him in the face to turn him)
I had him for a while though and i had another swat to convert so i put him out of his misery with a shotgun to the face
I actually felt kinda terrible about it afterwards
Also does anyone else hate hearing that loud wheezing death sound the cops sometimes make when you shoot/kill them? It makes me feel bad too

Is conversion really worth it?
I feel like the benefits of another hostage outweigh the help of another gunner.

If nothing else, it's a meat shield/distraction and sometimes I could use all the extra firepower I can get. Besides, you can still just take hostages.

the converted cops are actually very strong if you can convert one with a lot of armour

Picking safes or converting enemies...
Useful for safes
Rainbow for conversion

It's worth another person being a bullet sponge which is huge.

Sorry to say but shaped charges>safe picking
Converting cops is just too good to pass up, although they are more of bullet sponges/distractions.

Picking safes is in an odd spot; the only good use I can see is on day two of Firestarter; I can't think of any stealth missions where you need to be quiet.
I've decided to keep safe picking even with everyone's negatives. It'll come in handy. I know it will.
Also didn't they make it so you can trade converts now?
Also didn't they make it so you can trade converts now?
I dont know about that, it'd be neat if you could but there would still be an upside to keeping them un-converted (so they dont run the risk of being shot to death)
Tempting to reset my rank in Ghost and go full Mastermind, other than interacting with items quicker, later abilities don't seem to be as useful, or the really useful ones seem to be a little too high. The lockpick one seemed like it would have been fantastic, but once it came down to it, my playstyle really didn't sync up with it.
Also didn't they make it so you can trade converts now?
They made it so people other than the host can trade a cuffed hostage, but you still can't trade in converted enemies.
