God, the ideas that SPUF come up with are just so bad. It hurts to know that the developers are reading those ideas and possibly considering some of them. [editline]21st August 2013[/editline] I should stop reading SPUF.
If you crash at the money screen, but before you get the experience and card drop, do you still get the money? I joined a Ukrainian Job right at the van, but my D: drive died again as I was getting the goods
I'm embarrassed by how quickly I got burnt out on this game.
i've played like 4 heists since launch. i boot it up, stare at crime.net waiting for a heist and difficulty i want to play with a game i can connect to. when i don't, i give up because i'm not fucking waiting for crime.net to grace me with a good game. when i do find one, i play one heist and lose interest. :/
Wooh! I just reached 100. And before anyone asks, no, there isn't anything cool about being 100. No new heists or anything. Just a little achievement.
So your saying you completed what was supposed to be achieved in 1,000 hours, in about 110~. [t]http://i.imgur.com/73IKHA9.png[/t] Either this is incredibly bullshit or all you have been doing are 30~ second Ukrainian Jobs, etc. What exactly were you doing :v:
Check your cash to see if you got more.
And check every time it saves in the top left corner. If it saves before you crash, it should be fine. I've tired it numerous times, it's so hard. It's just luck.
To be fair, they are onto something. I played with a group who had the brilliant plan of "just stay in the server room until they leave". As you could imagine, I was actually really surprised when the cops literally did just leave, there was barely a fight, we were outnumbered 10 - 1, there was a sea of FBI Heavy outside the door, if they stuck around we were dead. But no, they just left, and we were able to walk to the escape van with virtually no resistance save for some beat cops on the street outside. I hate to admit it, but camping one room and killing anything that comes through is a very viable strategy, apparently. I'm actually hoping they update the AI so that shields just stand in doorways and trap you in the room while they wittle everyone's health down to zero so people can't just beat the game by sitting in a doorway. That or update the maps so that if you camp in a room that's obviously gonna be easy to camp, the SWAT will blow the wall open and rush you. That'd be sweet.
Just because it worked once does not make it a good idea

Me: Hey Player go use that key card on the electricity room on the roof Player: Okay! *Opens security room* Just god damn it
A beta update stated that it was an issue with your gpu and cpu not sharing the work load in-game, and that limiting fps would solve it. I mean it did for me but thanks to the optimization I have to limit it to 18 fps to make it so I can aim. Even though I Exceed the recommended specs...
I set the fps limit to 45 and it seems to have fixed it for now...hmmm.
Me: Hey Player go use that key card on the electricity room on the roof Player: Okay! *Opens security room* Just god damn it
You might call me an asshole but... I love telling people to place the drill when the electricity room isn't accessed yet. It's fun seeing their reactions. But then of course I carry on and get the room open.

Does anyone else pretty much always disconnect when they voice chat?
Sadly that's not true... The max level's exp is around 980,000. Which is about 40-50 "easy" overkill heists. Doesn't take too long if you have a good gang.
Wow I'd be pissed if it took 1000 hours to unlock everything. Less grinding more playing plz
Guys, hear me out. This can fix Ukraine and reduce the amount of farming done. Make C4 no longer work on safes, or make the timer much longer like at least 20 seconds. This also makes lockpicking safes a bit more useful.

I'd be against it taking any longer than it already does as well.

Safe lockpicking has its uses for stealth missions
So your saying you completed what was supposed to be achieved in 1,000 hours, in about 110~.
Let's be real, it would not take anywhere near 1000 hours to get to level 100. I doubt even the Overkill employees have even spent that much time.

enforcer should be able to pick safes up and put them in his pockets and mastermind should be able to yell "open sesame" at safes to open them someone get me goldfarb on the line now
"American Greed"
Nah, I think it's more along the lines of "Give me your money or I'll shit down your neck", considering I'm re-speccing into Mastermind for that Crowd Control skill :v:
Even worse : they panic when hearing the sound of a drill or a saw.
Guys, hear me out. This can fix Ukraine and reduce the amount of farming done. Make C4 no longer work on safes, or make the timer much longer like at least 20 seconds. This also makes lockpicking safes a bit more useful.
Easy way of fixing UK or any grinding at all really: 1. C4 automatically causes an alarm no matter what. You are using c4, you forfeit your right to stealth. If you do the below suggestion at #3, this would naturally happen almost every time on harder difficulties thanks to alarm windows. 2. Once you win a mission that mission won't pop up for you for a while in crime.net. Isn't that what crime.net is supposed to do in the first place? You can still join friend's games though if they are playing that mission. I guess this is exploitable and grindable via that but you'll eventually run out of friends to grind until the "timer is up" and it starts showing up again, and who cares you are playing with your buds 3. Higher difficulties actually increase the difficulty of missions beyond just cop waves. I.E. overkill on UK might have the tiara be in one of 4 safes instead of just one of two, the glass is triggered to alarm when broken requiring you to lockpick it if you don't want to set off an alarm (a GREAT way to make it so the lockpicking skill for ghosts is valuable too), and/or you'll always enter the level with the escape van farther out, maybe with a chance of it not being there at all until you get the tiara (in which case, one minute out if no alarms). On normal, it works like it does now. Hard, still two safes but the glass has alarms on them. Very hard, 3 safes, alarm glass, and the van is farther out. Overkill, four safes, the van won't come till you get the tiara, alarm tipped glass. With four safes, lockpick skill (and drill skills) are very very useful to speed up the process. Lockpick skill is also useful for quickly unlocking windows and jewelry containers without setting off the alarm on higher difficulties. 4. To make getting XP/cash not so shitty with the above just make it so on multi-day missions you get XP+Card drop after each day, with the payday at the end. And boost the payday, it sucks.
How about an asset that places some signs proclaiming construction work or something, and makes civilians more tolerant of saw and drill noises?
"Hey Phil. I see all these construction signs and I hear a drill, but I don't see any construction workers. "You're right, Frank! Let's call the cops!
Me: Hey Player go use that key card on the electricity room on the roof Player: Okay! *Opens security room* Just god damn it
I prefer to place a drill on the electricity room and use the keycard on the security door. If we're stealthing it that is.
enforcer should be able to pick safes up and put them in his pockets and mastermind should be able to yell "open sesame" at safes to open them someone get me goldfarb on the line now
Enforcers are so bad-ass they should start the heist inside the safe or a vault and the cops have to stop you from getting out.
