Useless? You can many missions MUCH smoother and MUCH faster with ECM overdrive and the 2 ECM perk. Get 25% faster lockpicking immediately after, and until you can lockpick safes just stick with an engineer.

I hope they include the pager ECM buff next though. Then ghost can be called necessary right alongside all the other classes. The ATM buff is nice but worthless for 99% of missions, and will continue to be until they let picked-up non-bag loot scale with difficulty.

I find that most enemies dont use their weapons as much as they should though, often have swat guys just run in front of you sit there, turn around see you, wait a few moments then fire.

PD2's are puffy, but they sound menacing and their face mask is better.

I got that a lot in Payday 1, not so much in Payday 2 though. The only time I can think of where Cops don't try to kill you right off is when there's no Assault if you're reasonably far away from them.
I think they removed that though, because it seems all cops went back to their Payday 1 behavior of just shooting at you at first sight unless you're so far away they couldn't hit you.
Has anyone noticed Bain isn't so chatty now ever since the update? Especially when stealthing.
Just played with a group of pubbies.
One ran out of the vault on Firestarter, darted for the van and died. Then threw a bitch fit. Followed by a second running out to get him, and then dying.

And they seem to have re-recording most of all of his PD1 lines. It's usually pretty jarring when the lines from PD1 and PD2 clash, but I haven't heard any of it, not a single reused line. I love it.

I think the problem is that no one has any patience anymore. We've been raised in a consumer/information overload culture that wants things faster and faster and faster, so I've seen people grow increasingly intolerant of having to wait any amount of time for anything anymore. It's definitely not a good trend; this isn't the first game to have a botched launch, won't be the last, but I'll keep playing and just wait and see how things are later. It's not like I dropped $500 into this or something, I see the same crap happen with mods and such as well.

With smooth talker, is it a guaranteed four pagers? Ive been spending too long on framing frames 1, and I'm hearing from some that it's guaranteed four and others that it's "at least 3". I'd hate for this time to go to waste.
Does "On day 1 of the Framing Frame job, steal all sold paintings without being seen" mean no detections or legit never being seen as in no question marks ever?
Does anyone else feel like the Police AI was smartened up too? It was especially noticeable on Bank Heist, but it seemed like the FBI SWAT weren't attacking in just groups, but from multiple entrances. There were several instances where they seemed to storm in the the back and the windows, or the front and the windows, or the back and the front, or the side and the windows. And they would do this at roughly the same time. I'm wondering if it's a coincidence or if they smartened them up enough that they try to attack from more than one point at the same time.

I've taken out the other four guards now, and im about to shoot out the cameras, but im worried him going and seeing one would botch me intimidating him. Fucker at the desk saw us, went full alert. 2 of us alternated between screaming at him and regenerating armour, just to keep him busy so he wouldn't radio us in and trigger an alarm. When we got all the paintings, we both made a mad dash to the van, and got the achievement.

Me and my friend did it. We took out all the gaurds and shouted at the last one to cuff himself. We got all seven paintings and sneaked past the lobby guy (not even a question mark) but the only achievment I got at the end was the zipline achievment. Didn't pop the other one.

It was in response to the "Nerfed the rewards for one day heists. Bleh" comment. Buffing the rewards for multi day heists is great, but single day heists are now barely worth doing anymore. They were already somewhat barely worth doing, (im not talking about ukjob, im talking about four stores, jewelry store, the [I]other[/I] single day heists), and now they have nerfed EXP and have tedious escapes slapped onto them. You might as well be doing a two day job but are getting less than one day rewards.

Gee, don't want a single session to last an hour. I prefer the 10 minute jobs or less with a payday than the 40 minutes. I don't have anything to spend money on so I don't give a fuck about it, I just want something other than 3,000 cash at the end of a heist. It's fucking annoying to do Rats on Overkill with pubbers only to get 6,000 cash as the reward. I don't care about XP or Money, I want weapon mods. I rarely get a weapon mod I will use. I think in the last 4 days I got a Monolith, that's it. I almost prefer Mass Effect 3's unlock system. So excuse me if I don't want to do a heist that's more annoying than fun, to get nothing, when I prefer the Bank for fun and a quicker reward

That was at the end of our mission mind you, we only had 2 paintings to move and that is because we fucked up a couple throws and they landed on the big statue, so I had to come down off the roof and toss 'em down, but since this was the laser room, the only exit was through the lobby. And the fucker at the desk spent like 5 minutes staring into our hallway, would not fucking move or even turn away. So our Mastermind (apparently being one IRL too) came up with a plan to just keep him distracted until we can leave :v:

Nope im talking about the lobby guard. Took out all the cameras then went to intimidate him, he surrendered, then snapped back to his combat pose and fired, and then surrendered again. Stealth ruined.
