I think the've made this game to allow for extremely easy implementation of new heists and assets. I mean there's a bunch of different size safes, random objects can be assigned as pickups (meth ingredients), the bank being slightly changed in firestarter (it's not much but they can atleast move doors around to create "new" rooms), the house from ratsis the same one in big oil but has been changed a lot as well.
These are just examples I can think of, off the top of my head but it really looks like the have made the game with being able to make new heists quite easily. Whether this means a future map/heist editor, which I'm assuming would have to be handled in a similar way to new Dota2 cosmetic items or if they just turn off experience and cards (which would suck).
They might have just done this so they can churn out DLC easily I don't know.
I do however see this game being A LOT bigger than what it is now, and I'm really looking forward to it.

yeah haha the payday is worse than bankheist
makes literally 0 sense
I just learned that the "OVERKILL" extension for the Desert Eagle is actually straight out of Boondock Saints 2. And then someone went on to make an actual one you can order for about $900.

I think that they're going to allow public access to map editors, and let people play any custom map they want without any experience/money/loot, and then they'll periodically feature outstanding community-made maps like Valve does with L4D2 and those will be enabled for loot gain.

After how they handled the cloaker dance incident?
I highly doubt it.
Not implemented yet. Only ECM opening ATMs is.
That reminds me of yesterday. Our ghost could not follow simple instructions.

Some people don't give a fuck. I'm sitting pretty on 20M spending money; so if I was hosting, I'd buy all the assets all the time.
I want Chains Beef mask. Then I never need another mask again.

Are they trying to keep the game files on lockdown because of that secret Guide of Bain thing or are they just being pissy about people looking into the files for no reason?
From what I remember they excluded having modding/map editor support, not much for being pissy about it but because the editor is very much not user friendly

They think the files belong to them and anything not seen in an unmodified game is a violation of their property. They act as if someone personally hacked their computers and stole data.
The only times i'd ever need that "No fall damage" skill are the ones that it doesn't fucking work anyway
I haven't been on the game in about 3 or 4 days, and lots of new posts here.
What did I miss?
Nothing.
Nothing.
I went through the last 5 pages, and people are just figuring out that OverKill are lazy developers that can't fix things fast enough, removed several heists from the original game, and promised less content than given?
And why are their updates so huge for such small bug fixes and such? Fucking christ.
So did you get that refund in the end?
My ticket hasn't been responded to yet :v:
It's the weekend, so I should be getting one soon.

Probably because they're modifying one of 5 'bundle' files and so they're saying "fuck patching, redownload whole new one kthx."
(Each of them are about 1-2GB.)

It is patching, their engine just uses a very outdated method of it.
I had to redownload the game because the update made it to where I couldn't launch the game and now I can't connect to anyone. I'm assuming I'm up to date but Steam has no manual update check so whatever.

Suuure, that's what they always say.
You know what would be great, have a small chance on the bank jobs that the vault is already open and theres a heap of guards in the process of moving money to/from an armored van, so sure the vaults open but theres a truckload of cops already there.
That or open the vault and boom, instead of money theres a bulldozer waiting for you
Electrify the electric vault electricity switch
oh cool we're about to enter this part where some people crash but some dont, therefore there's no problem
ehh honestly their damage control is a joke, they should simply state they they are sorry or confirm that the game isn't finished instead of lying through their teeth, it's not helping
Crashing is always pretty random. Games just seem to hate certain hardware configs, since I've crashed maybe 2-3 times total since beta, but other people seem to be crashing constantly. Hopefully they fix it, though.
I think people are looking at too short a time-frame, too. To borrow from RO2 again, it took that game *months* to finally get playable, and it's actually really enjoyable these days even though only a few thousand people play it. If PD2 is still sucky after 6 months, then yeah, I'd say it's a failure. But otherwise I'm willing to wait and see, not like it's the only game I own or it even cost as much as a full title.
