OVERKILL is pretty much scared now in their production of the game because of them.
they're grown adults and I think they can deal with some kids getting mad on the internet
they're grown adults and I think they can deal with some kids getting mad on the internet
Edited files to make cloakers dancing? BANNED
they're grown adults and I think they can deal with some kids getting mad on the internet
No, I know. But it just causes a bit of tension on their game. They're probably a lot more wary now.
Lmao I can't believe what I am reading here "Fucking ungrateful fucks acting as if it's their birthright(lol) to receive those 7 PROMISED heists" It's not like I expected 17 heists when I preordered. Developers have the birthright to lie, entitled cunts
Developers have the birthright to lie, entitled cunts
Doesn't mean it's good for themselves or their reputation, or in trust from their fanbase.
a week or so ago, when I did big oil for my first time with two other friends. god damn we were lucky. so us not knowing that we had to pick the correct engine before bagging all of the engines made us all really frustrated. we were playing on overkill as well so we decided we would just go for it, so we brought one engine back to the chopper. it was the correct engine.
If Valve was going to release Left 4 Dead, promising everyone 6 special infected and 7 campaigns. But not even until release day they don't tell anyone that there are only actually 4 special infected and only 4 campaigns. Everyone would flip their shit, and to make matters worse they announce the game is complete as is and the next content would be DLC. :suicide: Then they start to ban people digging through the game files for hacking, meanwhile there are hundreds of hackers ruining levels by being immortal and completing every level instantly.
Give us the drum mags Overkill! How hard could it possibly be?
Huh, ok....I got a Payday2 booster pack of trading cards...
I just joined a game of Framing Frame, overkill. Got in during the last few moment where you get the gold from the vault. No guards or cameras were up. 1 minute spent - 1 million earned and a lot of exp points. And to top it all off, i got the achievement "I wasn't even there!". Super appropriate :v:
Sarcasm, mate. You don't outright ask about cheating/hacking, especially on a game where devs are everywhere and the punishment for cheating is severe.
Especially on a forum that has your steamid under your avatar
The only argument I've seen thus far from the people defending is "You're entitled whiners.", when our own arguments don't even get read, especially when we provide written proof of how they're lying, or being pricks otherwise. How do you justify perma-banning someone from discussion because they posted a picture of a functional weapon mod not available that wasn't even found by them, or files modified by them. Blanket bans are pathetic, especially when it's very obviously done to make themselves look better by deleting all criticism.

Super appropriate :v:
I got something better- I joined a bank heist game at the last few seconds. I literally did not see what was happening in game- I clicked, it loaded, and once it was done I was at the EXP and cash screen.
Well, the game released and there wasn't much different between the beta and the released game- there's literally, like, one or two heists that weren't playable in the beta and about 5-10 weapons you couldn't get because they put a level cap on you. Once people started looking into the files and realizing they were holding back on us (other heists, that bullet mag referenced a few pages ago), people started being angry. Then Almir, one of the few people from Overkill on the forums, started causing shitstorms about how you can't "hack" things like that. And the fact he said two conflicting things didn't help (if I remember correctly, he said about a week ago "These features are being worked on, just give us time!" and then said more recently "These features are DLC, don't worry about them coming soon" I'm probably completely wrong about that, though) So yeah, that's basically what happened. I dunno if that's all that happened, but that's what I've been seeing. Kinda glad I'm taking a Payday break until this all blows over and they give us a few more features.
To be honest, I think the problem was that they put *too* much content in the beta. If they knew that they weren't going to be adding a lot on release they should've kept the beta down to a heist or two. Also it's only been like 2 weeks, jesus christ. The game wouldn't even technically be out yet if it hadn't been moved up. People need to calm down.
I feel like with those drum mags that there would be more ammo in the mag than you would have in reserve.

I wouldn't phrase it so harshly, I just think some people are acting childish over the matter. I'm not happy either, but I'm not throwing hissy fits and throwing around phrases like "entitled cunts".

Do you mean that August 26th date that was up for a day then was taken down? Regardless, you're still not acknowledging that the game is released, and they said there would be more content at release, what, do you think that had they pushed the game back to whatever arbitrary date you seem to have cooked up in your mind, we'd suddenly get the content we were promised? No, it wouldn't have, and it's made worse by them waving their dicks around stating "LOOK! We made ALL our money back already! Isn't that amazing?"
Half the community turned out to be an ungrateful fucks. [sp]nothing personal, just my opinion[/sp]
Factually: no.

They're not all bad, take our very own Nattskift as an example. He's nothing but friendly and helpful but he logs in here to find pages of "fuck you Overkill" posts.

I won't be preordering any game they make in the future.
If the game releases with less content than was promised they have every right to.
I agree people have the right to complain, but there's no need for how some people act about it.

They're fixing what needs to be fixed, I'm sorry if that makes me a twat, but some of these things I can't just go "Yeah thanks for patching". The game still crashes like crazy, and all that time in Beta was spent for naught apparently. Also, of course people are going to respond to them poorly, it's not as if this whole PR nightmare is an open and shut case. No, daily they seem to do something so backwards and stupid. Daily.

Besides that, enemies still desync like crazy, teleport through walls, pick up bags through things when we cannot anymore. That, and levels desync often as well. These are problems that should have been fixed early on.

I think everyone should just chill for a second, this whole "devs are the devil" thing is getting a little bit overboard, sure they got some bullshit against us and of course the game was rushed, Almir just looks like he speaks and does some stuff out of his ass every once in a while and I'm sure he doesn't represent the company's will as a whole, but its an incredibly small team, and you guys seem to expect that they to patch to perfection or expand within a whole new game within a week like they are the latest triple-A developer around. We still have no fucking clue on what they will be doing with DLC, if its free or not, if its expensive and the amount of content we will get, and you guys are acting like they have just released a DLC for twice the game's price for a new mask that was just cut before release, just chill for a while will you all? I'm sure they got the message after numerous death threats and else on the forums and now the best thing we can do is wait to see their decision and what they plan to do, then we can either put them on a stake or praise them at will.
We know there is paid DLC. We also know he's been lying and so have other people in the company.
