Well, now Update 7 wrecked my game. Time to try and figure out what new fangled way I have to modify my shit, to fix their shit.
You know little thing I would like? They should have more than just 2 copcars to pull up outside, and have the cops stay put and hold fire unless you fire first. Then just before the first Assault Wave, have a several SWAT Vans roll up, back doors fling open, and ~10 SWAT get out like Payday 1 style. Then the PD2 SWAT Vans pull up around the edges to complete the scene. Last of all, the finishing touch, a Rats style atmosphere where helicopters and police sirens are audible throughout the heist.
I would like to see more helicopters/people yelling at you to surrender
Yeah, things escalate really quickly considering they usually shoot at you first. It'd be an interesting mechanic to try and juggle being threatening with actually pushing them to firing on you. We kind of have it now by taking hostages, but it's not always consistent. People also don't seem to understand that tying them down gives you more time.

In anyone's defense, the games' mechanics, although shallow, go COMPLETELY unexplained.

I dunno, I often hear the cops yell out "Well, as long as they have hostages, our assault waves are going to take longer to start", probably with a big wink to the camera to make sure you got that
THIS IS A COLOSSAL GOAT FUCK is my favorite.

there's that one cop that sounds like fucking kermit the frog too

Yeah, they need to explain more of the game mechanics. Whenever I try to tell people about them in-game they either ignore me or act like I'm talking about an urban legend.

I. What? Wow that's never made clear.
I still remember watching videos of the closed beta and hearing cops shout:
"DOUBLE TAP TRIPLE TAP JUST KEEP TAPDANCING"
I still haven't heard it ingame. Must have removed it

AO is a shitstorm! Repeat; The AO is a shitstorm!

I often hear them utter that....and then seconds after they send everyone in.
But yeah I'd love it if stuff like the bank robberies etc actually made sense, in terms of how the police handle the situation.

Yeah, the more hostages you have, the longer you get between waves, I think. I've had like 15+ hostages before and we had a lot of time before the first assault started. Hopefully they'll buff cable ties a little more and give us 8 or something. You don't even get to always use them since sometimes everyone runs out of the area. I always tie down as many civvies as I can, both for that and so people with blue shirts don't run around cops and get shot.

Ooooohhhh shiiiieeeettttt

We cable tied everyone in the Nightclub before. Everyone.
The first Assault consisted of less than 10 cops and lasted about 15 seconds.

I'm not sure if it was purposely "tapdancing" but I've heard "Double tap, triple tap, just keep tapping" a lot
TOOK ONE IN THE CHICKENPLATE
About to solo the first mission of Framing Frames, 100% stealth, disposed of all but 2 of the guards, was on my last bash kill for the guard, the fucker landed with a sliver of his pinky nail in view of the camera, so of course, police are alerted.
This led to a new kind of quitting me for, the "Oh for fucks sake" quit, almost like a rage quit, but with more dissapointment than anger.

That was me after trying to stealth Day 1 of Firestarter Pro tip, don't even bother. As soon as someone is alerted to you the cops immediately come, even with no shots fired or noises made.

I thought it was shoot and scoop.
Bain repeats himself a lot when you try to stealth. Gets annoying
Soloing Firestarter was possibly the worst idea I've ever had
Day one is absolute hell, even on Very Hard.

The first 30 times I heard that I assumed it was just useless ambient chatter, seeing as they very apparently storm into the building, open fire on sight, and regularly take 0 care for civilians no matter how many hostages you have. Hostages and leaving alive of first responders improves things relative, but it's not the would-be apparent difference between a firefight and a tense standoff. They just love laying on their own triggers.
Man, this place. Find that gold and we can buy one of our own.

You know, I'm starting to get why Bains drivers crash so fucking often.
Bain is the worst back seat driver, he's not even in the fucking car!
I can imagine it now
"Take a left!" ....crash "I meant your other left!, if we find that gold maybe we can buy you GPS!"
I thought it was shoot and scoop.
Yeah, I mean christ, the amount the PD could save from workers comp and insurance and funeral claims if they just let us rob the fucking place.
