Stay away from it for now. It's score is dropping daily and people are disliking it more and more. There's not even half of the heists they said there would be, the payout system is fucking retarded and crime.net is the dumbest setup I've ever seen in a game. You'll get dropped out of servers left and right constantly and when you do find one that's stable, the host gets disconnected. Weapons upgrade information shows wrong status, silenced pistol shots can be heard across the map through walls and 90% of the upgrades are worthless along with skills. Stick to the first.
I'm not trying to venture into the dangerous waters of weeaboo or furry crap; but a kitsune mask would be kinda cool. Highly stylized, of course. It's more trickster/asshole territory over thief and robber though.

It's pretty good, but it feels empty after Rank 39 or so. At that point, you've unlocked all the heists, weapons, etc - but you're still 61 levels away from cap. If you didn't feed into the hype train, it's not awful, just lacking in level variety. The community's alright and I've had pretty good pub experiences; but similar to L4D or Killing Floor, you're gonna want friends you know and can trust foremost. Most of the negativity comes from the abysmal public relations thus far, their failure to deliever on content they promised/hype, and how static/stale the game gets at a point. It's still a lot of fun, and despite me agreeing with everything I just wrote, I still play it. Worth $30, but only just.
The real test will be what they do in the future, what content is added, and what they may or may not charge for it.

Also, apparently you can actually go in to stealth mode on Rats Day 2, which I never knew.

I just ran straight to the right in to that lower hallway. At the end there should be two gangsters. I shot the one in the doorway then immediately shot the one beside it from the other end of the hall. Apparently that was able to put it in stealth mode somehow.

They added stealth to day 2 of rats in a recent update iirc.

Every time someone refers to or I hear a Vlad quote I'm always reminded of the time I finished a heist and a guy said "let's hear the angry bear's speech" and I always end up losing my shit.
Was playing Jewelery Store with a friend, when two randoms joined just as it started. They ran out back and got shot at, managed to kill the guard and answer his pager. Thinking that one of the civvies would of probably called the police by then. Ran inside tied everyone down and were waiting for the assault when we realised no one managed to alert the police so we can stealth the level. It felt great.

Huh, that's neat, I didn't know they did that. I remember the last time I tried to stealth, I killed 2 in a hallway quietly near the van, and got [highlight]![/highlight]'s instantly popping up on the other side of the map. Is it actual stealth or is it the shit version where if they see you at all the cops are instantly triggered even though no gangster would [I]ever[/I] call the cops, let alone telepathically?
