You could ship an M16 around the globe 500 times for the markup over a normal, "traceable" one.
So you want it to cost even more than it does? :v:
Why are people acting completely nuts after recent update and an ability to buy yourself a heist? It's not like you are FORCED to do it... You still can do it the way you were doing it ALL THE FREAKING TIME, but this time you can actually skip it if you want to play some specific heist. Bah, it's even broken, so if you get 4 friends together and you all switch hosts after a single game... holy crap, you just found a never ending farming mode. SPUF are filled with tens of hundreds of these topics right now. All complaining that prices are too much and game is unplayable because of this... what the heck.
Bain's guide says they're expensive because he personally guarantee's they're completely untraceable
Bain's either a scam artist or extremely gullible considering it also costs 100+ thousand dollars to reattach sights to your gun

Doesn't seem to matter what sub-forum you're in, they're always dumb and complain about everything.
I doubt it, in this world a single gun is worth upwards of 400 thousand
inflation is a mother fucker
I don't consider the buying heists flawed. You're using money that otherwise is useless, and when successful you're turning that into money that you can spend with the bonus of playing the level you wanted to play on.
i dont give a butt about buying heists as long it uses offshore moeny ( finally it has a use)

The game is definitely still playable, and i'm still choosing missions by waiting for them to randomly pop-up, I just don't understand why they couldn't of made it where you just choose your mission and go. Yeah it uses offshore money, but if it costs us around 30-40 million to do a decent heist, imagine how much its going to cost for safehouse upgrades... All the dosh!
Did they increase the movement penalty of the improved combined blahblah armor? I feel much, much slower than before and I have sprinter/shinobi.
I don't know, but I'm considering dropping it, as I can get into cover with a smaller armor way faster. Getting back these 4 points now will help with diversifying my build. Yes, I got sprinter aced, shinobi on basic and moving around in ironman armor is... holy damn, it's so slow. Sprinting around in suit feels like moving 5 times faster, compared to sprinting in ironman ...or whatever it is called.
Well that sucks, there's almost no difference between sprinting/walking now, atleast thats how it feels to me.
now pick up a gold bag and race a turtle the turtle will probably win But yes, they changed the speed and the skills that help increase your speed don't seem to help it much. Maybe a little, but not by far.
Just got this game, quite liking it, never played the first one but love the armed robbery scene nobody will play the harder stuff with a level 2 though
Just got this game, quite liking it, never played the first one but love the armed robbery scene nobody will play the harder stuff with a level 2 though
Are people still doing that "c4 or kick i need more tiaras in my vault" thing? If they are, or anything around that, I'll play some rounds with you if you'd like, though I'm about to eat, so I can when I'm back.
Just got this game, quite liking it, never played the first one but love the armed robbery scene nobody will play the harder stuff with a level 2 though
For good reason, Level 2's aren't equipped to deal with the harder stuff.
if anything, its like money laundering, but its laundering into an illegal activity so you are shoving dirty money into an dirty event and clean money comes out?
Just got this game, quite liking it, never played the first one but love the armed robbery scene nobody will play the harder stuff with a level 2 though
If you want somebody to play with, just add me. I don't care what your level is.
For good reason, Level 2's aren't equipped to deal with the harder stuff.
true but i just pulled my weight on firestarter without a hitch, would have paid off if i didn't get disconnected (shit router) also thanks guys but i'm not on anymore tonight
Just got this game, quite liking it, never played the first one but love the armed robbery scene nobody will play the harder stuff with a level 2 though
Don't jump into overkill heists with public groups, you'll likely be kicked just because you're new. Which is a good reason, you could be skilled but without proper skills and armor etc., you're a liability over someone with a more powerful gun or stronger defensive capability. Go do some risk 1 missions, you'll find yourself leveling up 2-3 times for a good while. And they're negligibly harder than no risk.

I'll take that advice though, a job is a job
To anyone who has seen the LUA files, aren't missions basically setup using a LUA file to determine what spawns and what doesn't? Just been thinking they could of put way more variety into the game had they utilized some of the lesser maps. Any of the Big Oil maps would be great for a quick 1/2 day heist, maybe steal coke from the bikers, and for the mansion, you have to steal {insert item of value here}. I still think the random time of day would be a nice modifier also, would love to have Watchdogs Day 1 back to night again.
Lua only controls parts of it, the rest is map events, the Lua only triggers it.
Thanks for clarifying! Not familiar with the engine, are there just set nodes and such? Seems like even if its a bit of entity work it wouldn't be much to just change a few out.
Thanks for clarifying! Not familiar with the engine, are there just set nodes and such? Seems like even if its a bit of entity work it wouldn't be much to just change a few out.
From what I've seen the Lua just controls triggers, the entities are compiled into the maps themselves and each heist uses different ones on different setups so its likely not possible to toggle unused ones as the heist just wont allow it. It's pretty much the same case in Unreal and Source to be honest so I'm not surprised Diesel does the same.
Yeah, they made the top two armors slower (don't know if this includes the Iron Man armor or not) but added a ghost tier bonus to the fourth tier that cuts the movement penalty of all armors by half. The Combined Tactical Vest for instance inflicts a 24% movement penalty. With the Ghost tier bonus that is cut to a 12% penalty. The Improved Combined Tactical Vest has a 36% penalty which is cut to 18% with the tier bonus.

so.. Tried to stealth framing frame with a friend, everything went fine up to day 3 We had the gold in our hands we just had to carry it upstairs but guess what EVERY SINGLE FUCKING GUARD decided it would be GREAT to head straight to the vault room And office for no reason, so obviously we ran outta pagers and it all hitted the fan i still cant understand why when we had the gold they decided to go exactly were we are
Don't ya love it when the exchange with the gangsters at the apts go smoothly? When I first got that ending, me and other pals was just like wow

So I was playing Rats day 1, and was on the top floor at the top of the stairs. A shield snuck up on me from the balcony and punched me toward the wall. When the flash from the punch cleared, I was somehow in the basement. Shields' can apparently bend time and space when they smack you.
