Soooo, Hoxtone confirmed?
Aw, the current Hoxton has kinda grown on me. I hope we'll be able to choose which one we want

I'm sure they won't just drop the new guy, likely we'll be able to toggle between the two on the character select screen.
I'm sure they won't just drop the new guy, likely we'll be able to toggle between the two on the character select screen.
Or they'll just give him a place as an NPC.
The whole ordeal must be making the new Hoxton feel like shit
Like I said before, it's not that the new Hoxton is bad, because I actually really like him, it's just really jarring to go from an insanely British guy to an insanely Bostonian guy with no explanation. If they gave him a new character, people would be a lot more accepting of him
I wouldn't hate crime net so much if there was some way to reconnect to games you were recently in after you disconnect, since the damn game crashes so much.

Didn't they give an explanation in the web series or something? It's actually a brand new guy, who I think is related to Dallas or something.
Vlad. Just Vlad, he's awesome and has a real character to him; not dissing Hector or anything I just don't really hear the same enthusiasm in his lines like I do with Vlad's and the Elephants of piece of shit not even counting his missions :v:
Vlad is by far the best heist giver.
Bain mentions he'll provide something big down the line. Sure, he provides us with small heist. Like Fourstores and Nightclub. But it's actually a plot to help thin out the police force. He knows the Payday crew are violent criminals and have no problem cutting down policemen. Then out of no where, he'll start offering high end heist, sneaking on a yacht, interrupt a party, and killing more of these "old country feuds." Vlad never likes to give info, it's expected of him, the gang thinks nothing differently of it. But what we don't know is these people are actually congressmen and a few high ranking military figures. Right after you murder them all, Bain informs you of what you just did and you need to get the fuck out of there, and sends Alex out to pick you up. But before Alex can get out to you, a massive submarine raises out from the water, and a man pops out of the hatch.
It's fucking Vlad. He's come to rescue you. Come to find out, Vlad is actually a KGB agent installed by the Russian government to weaken the defenses in D.C., prior to a Russian Invasion. And Vlad has two last heist for you, and exchange for the gangs services, they'll be pardoned from all of their crimes, get to keep all their money, and as well as get paid. The next heist Vlad offers? "Inauguration Day." It's simple. A new president is being sworn in, not only do you need to remove him, you need to remove the Sectary of Defense, who is attended the ceremony. Despite being such a big deal, and a few days long. The heist is pretty short mission wise. It involves a lot of standing around, moving between a few buildings to take a shot and get out as fast as you can. But it's what comes after this heist.
It's "War Is Fantastic" heist. It's the only heist you can do after Inauguration day, and it only has one difficulty, and it's the only mission with it. Overkill 145+. It takes only an hour or two after you shot the president, and it introduces new enemies. The National Guard. They're fucking everywhere, They're patrolling down the streets, you can see Strykers and Humvees everywhere. Theres helicopters looking out for you. You can do the mission extremely stealthy, and manage to sneak away from all of it. And you can go out guns blazing and fight your way down the street. Which will likely happen, because it'll be near impossible to sneak through the massive amount of national guard that are out looking for you. But you managed to get to your get away vehicle. But thats just the first day. Then Day 2 starts with everyone in the van, but everyone is tried of your shit. You look out the window? It's a humvee hauling ass up the road, and it proceed to ram into you and force the van to a halt. Day 2? Simply hold out, You've got to hold out for ten minutes, of permanent assault wave. And right at the end? A fucking tank rolls up the street. But you can't do anything, because it's a fucking. The tank fires, and kills New Hoxton. But nobody cares. He was ugly, and his voice was shitty. It prepares to fire again, and a jet swoops in, but instead of blowing the tank up. The pilot ejects and the jet crashes into the tank. As the tank explodes, everything goes black.
Then Day 3 starts right after the tank was gone. The Pilot in the jet? It's Vlad. He's come to save you, again. Whoever played Hoxton gets to take over as Vlad for day 3. Due to the fact that they had to play such a shitty redone character. By the third day, shits going down. Russians are everywhere, the US military is there. Everything has gone to shit. It's a permanent assault wave, and you have to push through it with Vlad, and to to the submarine waiting to take you out of the AO. But, of course. You can only access this DLC mission pack if you want to buy it for $14.99.

If you look at the back menu, it says "Reward, 5,000,000,000, Per Brother." Sometimes.
Uh, the point of wearing masks is to conceal someone's identity so that the police doesn't come knocking at your door and nobody will ever find you once you retire.
What bothers me is that in Payday 2, we're not as careful about our identities. First World Bank is the only time we were ever caught on camera without our masks, and in First World Bank, we erase the Cameras. In Payday 2, we don't bother to erase any Cameras, or steal any footage. So logic dictates that they have ample footage of us walking around during 'casing mode' in various heists.

The fuck is a 180 degree rule? I'm all for criticism, but the people who made this likely didn't spend 4 years in college learning how to make Hollywood style films.

Flipflopping the orientation of the subjects on the screen randomly, we were taught it in High School, could be different for their cinematographer, even though its extremely basic stuff

Might just be a reference to Point Break. The ex-presidents call each other as brothers in that film.

It's a world where police send armies of policemen, guys in bomb disposal suits and tasers to fight 4 armed robbers
We can safely assume police is not composed by the smartest guys around
We just did a bank heist which suddenly turned into day 3 of firestarter and had a glitched drill.

jesus christ everything about the webseries is wrong
the badges, the raid jacket being worn at the office(which also is nowhere near as serifed irl and just says fbi no shield), the director of the cia meeting with what seems to be a mid level special agent in charge
[editline]2nd September 2013[/editline]
jesus ok so apparently the guy wearing the raid jacket is actually the director of the fbi
um well lets see the director goes on raids like never, secondly he wouldn't be talking to a subordinate like that, also he probably wouldn't even be meeting with them there's sacs for that
How can people get to level 100? I'm 50 and I feel I can barely drag playing this any further.

Take a break if you'd like, at least until more content is put in, or something else to give you motivation to play. You aren't being forced to play, y'know. Play on your own time.
It would save them time, because they aren't making terrible decals anymore. Also, if there's a problem with a mask, don't look at it or disconnect. Personally I only play with people who wouldn't do that sort of thing
you do realize that would breaking the rating of the game, and most likely lose them money in the long run? including maybe a ban in silly countries like Germany and Australia
What the damn hell is the point of being able to 'buy' contracts if they cost more than you'll earn even if you get an absolutely perfect run in any mission...
I mean yeah its great that offshore cash actually does something now but i like to see numbers go up not down.

You can't get rated for things players do in a game, otherwise anything with in-game chat would get banned.
