In the beta, the SWATs used to spawn in a few unreachable rooms on Overpass, It was where you have to open the door to access the roof to the chopper, then if you jumped on a vent you can clearly see into it but not jump into it.
Ofcourse I guess they removed it because they were glitched out and were able to shoot/pass through the walls.
All these weird map problems makes me wonder what their map editor must look like. I'm getting the feeling that it's actually just text-based and they have to manually input the name of object, coordinates, rotation, etc just to place something simple like a coffee cup. Maybe that's why making maps is so difficult?
if I ever make a game I will insist on an easy-to-use map editor, because people love them

Huh, I played the beta tons and never saw them spawning in those rooms.

Anyone else have a problem where it either takes forever to join a game or just flat out get "game failed to respond"?

Probably alot closer to this, they just use the "omg in-house tools 2complex4u" line because custom content supposedly takes away from the DLC end of things.
Also, they have 6 in-house map designers, not sure how they have so many problems with producing content.

Hammer isn't the most user friendly, and some of the tool setups / limitations and fuckshit retarded, but it's far from impossible to use like they claim theirs is. The way they play up the difficulty and the strange bugs just makes me wonder how exactly they make their maps. The guy who made the video above would probably know more about it than any of us.

Yeah it's got it's rough edges, my first editor was for Duke Nukem 3D, then Quake 1, Quake 2 & 3 I used generally the same editor, still my favorite after all these years

But seriously, even if their engine is retardedly old and difficult to work with, there are those of us who know what we are doing, and given from some of their brushwork, textures, and cubemap catastrophes, we could probably do better, and I think they know that.

The train actually speeds by at some point during the heist, but it's very quick, only there for a few seconds, and nobody stays there staring at the bridge, so nobody ever sees it.

Wow never noticed it! It's kinda funny, they used sprites to do the distant cars on the bank heist, but not something similar for this. Just seems like a lot of waste for such a small effect.

Lighting was super dark and moody
AI was still stupid and dropping through the skylight when the heist starts
Art looks different
Sound that triggers when the bars slide-in is MIA now
Crazy card system (?)
Bain has a slightly different sound to his incessant nagging
Funny lack of jumping animation levitation is still there
