You just have to be careful and isolate them, you need to be able to bag bodies, absolutely. Also, they don't burn the intel you need, but they burn the additional stuff like the keycard, shutter codes, and somehow the airplane keys. And have a well silenced weapon (it has to use the biggest external silencer, the integrated silencers aren't as effective). If you are quick enough with it, you can sometimes kill several people in a hurry before any of them can get off a shot and alert everyone and the police.
Best bet is to have two guys stacked to go upstairs and 2 to clear the rest of the house. Two guys who go upstairs immediately clear the tables of any gangsters and the bottom two do so as well. As long as you're in the house at the time you get spotted and immediately rush it you can usually make it.
I have Pistol Messiah, I got downed and shot people with my Locomotion. WHY THE FUCK ISN'T IT GOING OFF Then I realized Pistol Messiah.
I dunno, it could be done similarly to that episode of The X-Files where we're trying to cover up for some sort of crime or outbreak (Elephant mission maybe? A continuation of No Mercy?) and among the evidence we collect and destroy, one of the days involves breaking into a morgue and stealing a corpse. (Or destroying it somehow, for if you don't have body bagging somehow; just actually taking the corpse gets you more money or something.)
That would be a good stealth mission, breaking into a hospital to retrieve a certain corpse. For this mission, anyone will be able to bag that particular body (it's an objective, like placing a drill, why is that such an issue?). There could be doctors, nurses, and security officers moving around. Floor would consist of a lobby, reception, 2 hallways (one with elevators), a couple open hospital rooms (that doctors may frequent), and of course, the morgue. Maybe there could be a second floor accessible by stairs where more offices and stuff can be found. As for the morgue drawers, they'll be the same as deposit boxes, although a random doctor could have a key that speeds up opening to near instantly.
My god I almost fucking stealthed day one of firestarters, I had 4 guys left, 1 of which was open for the kill, then Payday 2 decides to not allow me to control my character, but I can push escape. This game.

I don't understand why the cops come instantly if a "!" appears at all. It's annoying as shit and inconsistent with the rest of the game.
I don't understand why the cops come instantly if a "!" appears at all. It's annoying as shit and inconsistent with the rest of the game.
you could argue that it's accurate because it's america police literally grow on trees here
I don't understand why the cops come instantly if a "!" appears at all.
HELL no. So much shit would have to be removed/fucked with in order to balance it for Versus. Versus is whats keeping the L4D series from meeting it's full potential, and it'd be the same for Payday. Not EVERY god damn series needs to have PvP element.
I don't know, L4D felt like it met its potential to me. I've spent just as much time in versus than in campaign... going back and forth between the two put soooo much more replayability inside of the L4D series for me, to the point where I'm still playing versus every week with a couple of friends. About every game not needing PvP... of course, you're 100% right about that. If a random team death match gamemode was added into Payday 2, that would be fucking lame. Same if it was just capture the bag or whatever... that's not what I'm thinking of though... It would be something more specific to the actual heists. Even if it was just a simple Dark Souls/Mindjack type concept of letting one or two players invade your game as cops, that would at least change things up a bit and keep the gameplay different and exciting every round! (Instead of just endlessly shooting hordes of NPC cops) To balance that type of thing, if you enabled invaders into your game... you could get 2x the cash you originally get! Seeing it's double the risk, it would be a damn great payoff if your team is able to pull off the heist alive. Although, I guess what I really want is Overkill to port over Kane and Lynch's fragile alliance multiplayer gamemode into their game. The concept of it is absolutely perfect... Like others have said though, the netcode is pretty damn shitty... and that's extremely unfortunate. It'll limit Overkill from attempting anything new besides the L4D objective type gameplay. Thankfully, GTA V is coming in a matter of 2 weeks or so... and that game has everything I've ever wanted in a multiplayer heist game. Betrayal, getaway car shootouts, stealing your other heisters cuts! God, I can't wait.
Maybe the cops have a dedicated anti-Payday gang taskforce, who just sit around waiting for us to commit a crime so they can jump in?
hoxton is an undercover agent that calls the police the instant the alarm goes off
Maybe the cops have a dedicated anti-Payday gang taskforce, who just sit around waiting for us to commit a crime so they can jump in?
And maybe they put chips in their heads that send out brain waves the nanosecond something is wrong. Next ARG has just started.
hoxton is an undercover agent that calls the police the instant the alarm goes off
in a later patch the payday crew catches onto him and we get a heist where the gang, now with the original hoxton, have to hunt down new hoxton and make an example of him
in a later patch the payday crew catches onto him and we get a heist where the gang, now with the original hoxton, have to hunt down new hoxton and make an example of him
but then hoxton pulls off his hyper-realistic hoxton mask. guess who it is? [sp]FOOOOOOOOOOOLED YOU GUYS[/sp]
Seems like Ukrainian Job is the only mission worth grinding, do it on overkill and you get 500k spending cash and like 8k exp all in 25-40 seconds
Though in some ways I agree with this, what is driving me crazy is level 50+ guys who have no idea how to do basic jobs or tasks because all they did was grind Ukranian and Jewelry. It's driving me insane.
in a later patch the payday crew catches onto him and we get a heist where the gang, now with the original hoxton, have to hunt down new hoxton and make an example of him
That sounds way too forced.
That sounds way too forced.
i wasn't being serious :v: i don't really have a problem with the new hoxton at all (probably because i didn't play the first game enough to get attached to the old one)
It's a good feeling when an Overkill mission goes perfectly and you complete the entire thing in around 10 minutes.
you could argue that it's accurate because it's america police literally grow on trees here
I dunno what America you live in. Once at half-passed midnight, my sister accidentally called 911 when trying to call her friend. She panic-hung up, called her friend, then left the house. 911 called back but I didn't answer it because it wasn't my phone (and I didn't know it was 911). About 15 or so minutes later, a policeman shows up at my door. This is passed midnight, there's no traffic on the streets, and my town is barely a square mile in size, and it took 15 minutes for him to get to my house. Compare that to the 15 second response times in Payday 2 :v:
then again, disconnected pager response means armed men with malicious intent, sooo
Not necessarily... a guard accidentally releasing the button on his pager is a HELL of a lot more likely than, say, his pager being affected by the fillings on his teeth, or a magnet buried right under him, or a little bit of water he got on it after washing his hands.
Wow, yeah, the response to a domestic terrorist sighting sure would equal that of a little bit of small arms fire in a meth lab in the woods, or an abandoned tarmac frequented by the cartels
Someone broke into an art gallery, we better blow up the walls within 30 seconds of our arrival.
Wow, yeah, the response to a domestic terrorist sighting sure would equal that of a little bit of small arms fire in a meth lab in the woods, or an abandoned tarmac frequented by the cartels
small arms fire? 4 men armed with multiple weapons, maybe even explosives, automated turrets, and hostages just killed a bunch of other men in the area pretty sure that's gonna be a cause for alarm and kind of trigger a similar reaction to the boston bomber manhunt, especially after those same 4 men wipe out wave after wave of officers
Wow, yeah, the response to a domestic terrorist sighting sure would equal that of a little bit of small arms fire in a meth lab in the woods, or an abandoned tarmac frequented by the cartels
a gang of people that they've been chasing for years that have been known in the past to start shoot outs in streets, blow up fucking crackhouses and kill hundreds of cops you mean?
So I stealthed all of framing frame solo with 8 paintings and 8 bags on overkill, I was on day 3 and I had taken out a lot of the cams, killed and intimidated all of the guards, planted the coke and opened the vault when I realized that I would need a second guy in order to deactivate the vault lasers. I was waiting by the desktop pc in the senator's office for 20 minutes until somebody came on in order to help me out. Overall though it was a pretty good turnout considering it was the first time i've stealthed day 2.
What do you guys think of this build? Yes, yes, you probably think it's a dumb idea to not put anything into Technician, but aside from the Sentry Gun, I've found that anything a Technician can do, the other skill trees can do better. Ghost can pick safes, Enforcer can saw doors open... Actually, I can't think of anything special that the Enforcer can do to gain access to areas.
I started calling them "jobbers" It's absolutely ridiculous to play with people level 50+ that have never tried stealthing any missions before.
I'm almost level 90 and I have some trouble with Four Stores and Mallcrashers simply because Four Stores is awful and doesn't interest me at all, and Mallcrashers doesn't pay out enough really.
