Me and my friend two-manned bank heist: gold, and managed to do it full stealth. We even used 25 minutes to open every single deposit box, just to have done it once.

It really wasnt worth it though, we got about 100k extra spending money for an additional 25 minutes of time
This is why you cable tie everyone and get an enforcer with saw and ammo packs + asset. Ehen im at the saw, we got it emptied in like five mins.

also.you got unlucky with the haul then. We generally get like at least two money bags and gold bags. lods of emone
Earlier me and some friends managed to break into the vault and steal all the money without disturbing the lobby or the offices.

me, my girlfriend, a friend, and a pubbie somehow did the last day of firestarters fully stealthed. you just have to lock down the side of the bank with the vault

i just imagine a huge as plume of smoke flooding the bank and people are like, ehh :v:.

It's funny 'cause me and my friends would occasionally talk about how the Bank in Payday 1 was just ludicrously huge. You have a massive 6 story tall lobby, that seems surprisingly empty for such a huge building. Then there's the cafe and offices, which are reasonably sized. Upstairs is the meeting room, manager's office, another office, server room (which is pretty tiny), and a rest area. Along the back is a long hallway that doesn't really go anywhere, and a balcony that overlooks the massive lobby. Then we have the drill area, similar to the lobby, this massive room exist solely because there's a small gate there. Behind this gate is a Vault lobby with 4 elevators (Why would such a high security area need 4 elevators? Where do they even go?). Then the massive Vault, which for a big bank does make sense, although funny enough it has less money stacks than the Payday 2 Bank.
All that said, I thought the Payday 2 bank was actually much more down-to-earth. It felt like an actual bank you could walk into in real life, rather than some modern palace that happened to have a vault and offer banking services.

I'm guessing the vault was at the back of the bank? Vault at the back makes for the easiest stealth heist of the banks.

Obviously. It's not really possible if it's at the front because the entire lobby can see the front.
Had an awkward situation.
We started stealthing Framing Frame, I asked a guy on a roof to mark the camera in hall. Instead he presses wrong button and breaks huge section of glass on roof :(

There was no alarm, but we still got caught afterwards.
I prefer First World Bank because it felt like a massive insane heist, not just knocking off a local bank. Payday 1 felt like it had actual heists, the levels were varied and all had some awesome objective (in PD2 you steal some guns from some gangsters, in PD1 you steal an entire room stuffed with coke and cash), meanwhile Payday 2 feels more "realistic", which isn't necessarily better
Payday 1 heists have that over the top feeling which makes them awesome. The heists are insanely impressive and creative.
In Payday 2, you mostly rob "small" places : small bank, small jewelry store, 4 small shops on a street. Sure, you also rob a Senator's penthouse but I miss the big stuff from the previous game.
It also feels kinda ridiculous to play as serious gangsters with fancy suits, custom made masks, military guns and a boss who created a whole crime network just to do missions that could be done by some random thugs.
Objectives and heists progress in Payday 1 were also more various from each other.
In Payday 2, most heists are "go in, open safe, take bags, get out".
Apologies if late.

I did this once with a few pubbies and yeah without a saw it takes ages. It was strangely peaceful and relaxing though.

Payday 1 was movie-tier stuff.
Payday 2 is trying to be plausible. The problem is, Crime.net seems like this really serious network for career criminals and all we use it for is tiny banks and drug trafficking.

It's not like the Payday crew has exclusively stuck to huge heists before. Heat Street was supposed to be a simple "get in, grab the briefcase, get out" ordeal before Matt screwed everything up.

I wonder if all this new stuff, like this ^, the new masks, two stage safes, etc., will be a part of this week's update (Goldfarb did say "new content" after all), or that Armored Transport DLC.
I'm fine with either really, but that update will come sooner than the DLC :v:

the biggest thing about stealthing bank is luck. the vault and the security room pretty much need to be placed in the back (sec room might be okay in the front). and you need at least one camera on the roof to draw a guard out, just to be safe. otherwise, just get everyone down who is in sight of the vault, because very few npcs have paths that go through where youre guarding. of course you can totally take the front if you want, but frankly its an unneeded risk.
I hope the loot in the armored van DLC is a truck carrying old Hoxton in it

I really like how down to earth the Payday2 heists are
But I would much rather prefer as you played the game more, you'd start out with small heists and then build up to doing shit like First World Bank as your primary target
Then maybe once you've "done your tour" and completed all the major/minor heists you generally just pick whichever one you want to do. I.E. you'd start out only being able to pick from small stuff, then building to bigger stuff like rats/watchdogs, then you'd be doing big fry stuff (first world bank) before the entire selection of missions would become available to do
Thats how I kind of imagined crime.net would work, but in the end it just turned into a crappy mission select screen where you don't really build up into any kind of big heists at all.

We'll get there eventually
