I was about to say the release date is solid, and it's the beta release date we're talking about. But I just checked the Steam Store and it just says August now? It definitely said August the 13th.

I know I said this before but there needs to be more sniper rifles in Payday 2. There is probably going to be at least 3 heists where you'll have to pick off snipers and it'd be annoying to try to take them out with a weapon like an AK or Pistol and waste ammo.

This is the 21st century, we have a lot of things which do stuff for us, like breathing.
Also, semi-related to Payday. But I realized Ulf Andersson and Simon Viklund worked in Bionic Commando: Rearmed (Back when they were Grin), I feel so slow when I realize this kind of things. You people should play it, it's excellent remake of the original game.

At that range a battle rifle would do the job just as well while retaining a reasonable level of close quarters capability.
Plus a battle rifle cuts through body armor like it was crime time, motherfuckers.
An M14 or an FN FAL both would fit the bill and overall style. Functionally an M14 is already basically a sniper rifle that just happens to have a full auto setting for some godawful reason that nobody ever used unless they were planning on going full retard. Its cousin, the M21 is a semiautomatic sniper rifle that is mechanically nearly identical, but has tighter fitting parts for greater accuracy and a few other minor changes to maximize effectiveness at range. (Ranges you will never see in Payday anyways, so, irrelevant)
Oh right the original has the M308, which is basically an M14. I assume that will return.
