Steam keeps installing DirectX every time I launch Payday 1. And 2. Does anyone know how to fix this?
So is the art heist not in the beta? I'm level 15 now and all I've seen is Bank, Jewelry Store, 4 stores, Watch Dogs, and Rats.
I figured we'd be able to play that one since it looks somewhat simple, unless I'm just extremely unlucky and haven't found it yet.
I'm looking for a group in about 20~ minutes. If anyone is interested, feel free to add me, I plan on atleast partially stealthing stuff (ts3 included).

Yes.
Playing with Soularus and Links, we managed to do a risk 2 jewelry store without the alarm going off. Managing the civilians and making sure that none get away while keeping the ones that are out of the level boundaries on the ground is tense as hell.
Payday 2 sure looks like a blast. I remember picking up the original during a sale to see if anyone was still playing. Sure enough I made friends with 2 old guys and did practically all my heisting with them. Haven't seen them on my friends list in a while so I dunno what's happened to them. Rarely did I find good cooperation like those guys where we all work together to pull of easy money. I wish I had money for this game but being jobless makes that difficult. This is gonna sound terrible coming from me, but would anyone want to trade a copy of the basic Payday 2 for Don't Starve!, Frozen Synapse, and Cogs? They're 50 bucks all together so it's like a mini sale, basically. It'd be given you'd have my eternal gratitude and I'd play with you pretty much whenever you want, if that matters.

i unlocked this really awesome mask FIRST THING. i totally lucked out. it was probably the coolest mask in the game, too. it screamed "badass" but i somehow accidentally sold it. i'm so mad.
as much as I love the game, the customization gui is horrific. I have no idea what have of the buttons do sometimes. You'd think it'd be really straightforwards but sometimes attachments don't apply to guns and other things. It just gets irritating

it'd be nice to toggle the depth of field off too. the focusing is really bad. usually everything is a blur. The one thing I really like, though, is that the game kind of has an autoaim of sorts -- you don't have to be dead-on target to land your hits. I was kind of wary of how the game would work because the weapons bounce around when they fire in iron sights but overkill definitely know what they're doing. the shooting is so satisfying because of that. I thought I'd be dumping tons of ammo down the drain leading shots and never hitting anything

i wouldn't know. i'm too cheap to move on from the amcar. i want to get the next gun over (the ar-15 clone, I think?) but at the same time i am trying to save my money. besides, the stats are pretty much the same. i think the only difference is the 20 round magazine going to 30 rounds

you can decide if you just want to wear the breasted suit or if you want to wear different levels of exterior protection ranging from a knife vest to being decked out from head to toe in kevlar

Trust me, drop the Amcar, once you get the Car-4 youll notice how much easier it is to control without the crazy spread the Amcar has.

that's what I [b]don't[/b] like about payday 2: the game REQUIRES you to be high level to do other heists
in payday 1 you could have an all level 1 crew and do any heist you wanted. you might have trouble at first but completing it was actually feasible. having higher levels and perks and beefy upgrades to your guns were just a bonus: you didn't need them to complete the heist
payday 2 relies COMPLETELY on player level and perks. i don't like that. if you play a difficult heist with low-level peers then suddenly you realize you shouldn't even bother with it at all because they don't have any kind of armor unlocked yet so after they get shot two or three times then they're down. meanwhile you're standing there taking bullets like a man while you spray down every cop and fed in sight with your belt-fed akimbo desert eagles

ive had no issue completing no risk heists, which is the difficulty.
