There's a few GUI changes that they need to make: - If I have the choice to buy a new weapon, mask, whatever, that "Buy new item" that shows up in that small box should immediately send me to the buy option. I shouldn't have to click the same worded option on the side. - Be able to keep distance settings as well as a minimum/maximum risk level so I don't end up choosing Overkill-difficulty heists by accident. - A visual indicator on the HUD to signify who is which character. Either a name or a face like in L4D. - More graphical options. If I wanna turn off shadows, motion blur and other junk just to get a smooth framerate at the cost of quality, let me do that. Otherwise I'm enjoying what I'm playing. Seems solid, nice and varied choices. I do agree with the cash problem, though. They need to add challenges back from Payday 1 so people don't have to grind heists to unlock stuff.

I only play with friends anyways. :v: Pay rate in this game is fucking bonkers too. One mission, I'm scraping 10-30k. Next mission, I'm pulling 160k. Makes a hard balance between 'do a bunch of easy missions' or 'plow the hard ones out for dosh.' I'm having fun, despite the flaws and a few stupid menu choices (started a heist, failed, want to back out? lol new lobby fuk u.) But absolutely triple buttfuck the new Heavy Swat. They eat so much ammo that we're not dying because of lack of skill - but because after two assaults from them, a team of four is entirely out of ammo.
I'm absolutely loving the beta so far. The only thing I really hate is how expensive and hard everything is to get. All I want is a silencer for my pistol yet I can never get one.
Yeah the pay rates are kind of stupid. You do a job for like $300'000 and all of that goes to your offshore account and "lol heres $15'000 go buy... nothing because everything is hyperexpensive"

Yep, the money/payout system is frankly broken at the moment, and I think it probably stems from who the CBTs were, the ultra-hardcore-of-the-hardcorest fans - What works for them might not necessarily work for the broader audience, and going by how we all feel about it, it doesn't. However, the game is enjoyable (if tough on two stars and above difficulty) and the music is fucking godly.
I love how the music builds up before an assault.

After hearing the music kick into gear in assaults, it's hard to play with all the blood rushing to your boner. And hey, this is good beta feedback, they might fix some of the underlying issues for the final release. At least they'll look at the payout rate. holy shit this game has me hooked pretty tight everything is a massive improvement for payday 1, and yep things are a bit grindy at the moment but thats what a beta stands for also Shotguns ARE ACTUALLY FINALLY WELL DONE IN THIS GAME!

They stay a LOT closer than they use to and usually don't fucking wander off like they do in PD1; but they're still mediocre and occasionally walk off for no reason still. Civilian AI is a lot better. There's the rare "let me be difficult" or "let me stand up in gunfire"; but it's nowhere near as common as it was in the first Payday. Enemy AI is.. well, it's different. Suppression is a thing, but it's weird how little they tell you about it. I've noticed I can shoot wildly near a group and how much they shoot back goes down, but it's all hazy. It has nothing to do with their AI; but it is frustrating how instead of going in small groups; sometimes the "director" goes "lol fuk u gais" and sends in twenty Heavy Swat in a blob, all at once. Fucking this. First game had it where they went "You don't have to pump after not fully emptying the magazine! :D" and then it had a delay just as long for no reason. In this one, it's just an odd delay where you can't shoot and it throws me off.
Got my hands on AK and... mag reload animation is just not right.

I just tried playing this with a couple of my friends, the first mission we did was fine, we almost stealthed it completely, 3 guys getting away with 9 bags of jewellery. But then one of the guys decided to change his resolution.. We can all join the lobby fine, but once a mission has been selected and loaded, the game will drop the guy that changed his resolution from the server. And if I start the mission, he can't even get to the lobby, it just says 'waiting for the game to respond, please wait.' Does anyone know of this problem? We tried deleting the renderer_settings.xml file, so that the games settings are reset, and still no luck.. I told them that perhaps we should update our drivers, but they think it's a connection problem, which it might be, I just find it odd that it only happened after he changed his settings.
