I don't know about tanks, but APC's and light armored vehicles would fit nicely.
It would be cool seeing one of your soldiers climbing onto a tank, opening the hatch, and throwing in a grenade.

That reminds me of Mercenaries 2.
And maybe a map :v:

There IS a map...
Also, for the more eager of you, I’m happy to say that pre-alpha 0.11 is really close now, meaning 1-2 days away. It’ll have some bug fixes, balance corrections, first attempt at a line of sight visual, a marker below the player-controlled soldier and a config for keyboard/mouse controls, at least.
At first I thought "Ace of Spades 2".
Then I was "Cool this game is nowhere like AoS"

Maybe on bigger maps?
I don't think it's a map size thing, I think it's a gameplay thing. The gameplay should stay focused on infantry combat, with vehicles being used to support infantry. MBT's would switch that around, with the focus on keeping the tanks alive through infantry support.
Stuff like Humvees are light enough to not be invincible, but heavy enough to serve as moving cover/transport/support.

Voxelbased destruction of buildings?
This game appears to have mouse smoothing, that has to go. It also needs zooming that scales with resolution so people with larger resolutions can't see farther.

It's a single-player game. That doesn't matter. If anything, I should be able to set the zoom level to exactly how I want it to be able to see exactly how far I want to.
Wow, I didn't think this game would be that good but I have been surprised. I'll definitely follow this game.
It's a single-player game.
It's not gonna be that way forever.

No it isn't there is already early, barely working multiplayer.
And by barely working its there but doesn't work.
My top three desires for this game:
Options for thirdperson over-the-shoulder perspective.
Interesting Vehicles as mentioned previously. Jeep, halftrack, light through heavy tanks? Helicopters? Heck I'd love it if they added a winding river to the map that you can said a little PT-Boat through.
Buildings we can enter and destroy. While at it maybe some mild tree/rock deformation and destruction.
I'm actually starting to think a third person perspective might not be necessary if an alternate control scheme is added(movement relative to mouse instead of fixed) and the line of sight problem is addressed.
Needs tanks and jeeps...
and cowbell...
You guys are missing one of the most important things to a game like this. Squad Control.
What the fuck about what I just said was dumb? You can disagree with me if you want but how the hell is it dumb?

It's dumb that people keep suggesting FPS/TPS camera angles. It isn't a FPS or TPS, it's a top-down shooter. That'd be like going into the BF3 thread and saying there should be a top down or third person view.

you got me really excited for a minute because i thought you meant Battlefront 3 was going to finally come out. :(

...That's an odd mistake to make. That said, yeah, Battlefront 3 would ROCK.
Is there any way to save manually, as it's really annoying after a long fight and taking control over a base for the game to crash. Because even though in the OP it says that it will save automatically when you go to your own base or after a fight, it doesn't do that.
Remember when I said I was applying for Modulaatio? I got a response.
Basically, they're still working out a development plan for the game, and they're trying to find places to fit people like me in. Basically I may or may not get hired, it depends on how the company runs.
who you applying as?
Texture artist I think.
I love how enemies actually ambush in this game. I walked into the suburbs by my own since at night since nobody else would. I couldn't see anyone at all. I walked into the middle and kinda of just stood there for about a second, surprised about the lack of guys... Then, suddenly shitloads of guys came from inbetween the buildings. I was throwing grenades everywhere whilst running away and crying.
