A big news from Bushido mod, They actually go to stand alone version rather than a mod. Bad news or Good news?
The team behind Bushido: Feudal Warfare are delighted to announce that Bushido will now be released as a stand-alone title. To find out why, and what this means for our fans, read more!
Hi guys, We've got quite a big announcement to make, one which will hopefully lead to Bushido becoming bigger and better than it ever was before...
Some of you have noticed that our ModDB page has recently moved and now appears on IndieDB instead. The reason for this is that we've made a decision to stop production on Bushido as a mod and instead focus on releasing it as a stand-alone game.
The feedback and support from both the Chivalry and ModDB community has been overwhelming- and we strongly believe that this decision will lead to us being able to create a game that stands out based on its own merits, not living in the shadow of Chivalry (a game we all love).
This move has prompted us to re-evaluate some of the core gameplay elements, and we can now confirm that the following features are being developed:
A totally new and innovative combat system which lends itself to the intricacies of Japanese combat
The ability to customise your own Samurai character, including his face, hair, armour and weapons
A suite of new game modes
Even more weapons!!
We've started to prototype the character customization and new combat elements already- below is a quick visualization that Kieran has created.

We realize that this new will leave many people disappointed. The decision to pursue Bushido as a stand-alone game was carefully considered and evaluated, and we firmly believe that the game has the potential to do well as a commercial title.
That said- we wont be forgetting about the community that helped to get it where we are today. As such, we're committed to bringing Samurai armour and Weapons to Chivalry once the team at Torn Banner have implemented the Steam Workshop functionality (if they deem it appropriate).
On behalf of the entire team, we'd like to thank everyone who has helped to support us with their comments and feedback.
All the best,
Sam & the rest of the team
To be honest, so long as it isn't a reskin of Chivalry and under $20, I'd consider buying it.
That's actually what I had been wondering, seeing how much they were putting into it and wondering where the overhaul ended and that I'd probably be willing to pay for a full version.
Here's hoping they get that fluid combat in.
Great news.
That only means there's a higher chance to be amazing
If it sucks that means mod would've sucked too so I just won't buy it
I'd much rather see a Chinese warfare game.
With gunpowder firework ballista's and Cannon Camels (Yes they existed) yeah, the Chinese were batshit awesome when it came to cool looking stuff.
for example this is a Semi automatic crossbow.

I swear everyone in the world swings so much faster than I can
I don't understand this game
I'm either really good with hand to hand, or everyone else is terrible at it.

Fists are the wild card. You'll either get destroyed or you'll wreck your opponent if they have a weapon and you don't.
You tend to be able to gauge how good somebody is by their fists. I'm a very good boxer thanks to spending a lot of time in the ring before servers flat-out refused to have Tavern on their rotation.
My favorite thing to do is feint while using fists.
NOBODY EXPECTS IT

mad turning skills and combos

That's called a revolution.
Happens too often honestly.
makes me furious when team doesn't know how2color
had a teammate run after me for ages, he literally never realized i was on his team until i killed him myself

Maybe he was just a troll?
There are people who will just TK you at spawn. Happens very often.
The only times I get TK'd are when I'm hurt and covered in blood.

Oh god, I got autobalanced and spent about ten minutes trying to kill a Mason Vanguard (he just kept parrying me and saying "I DON'T THINK SO") before I realised I was on his team. Felt so stupid.
but that's what the agatha one shouts
You know, it's always nice kicking somebody out of the way or accidentally hitting them and just sitting there parrying them for a minute or so spamming "no". It tends to mean that your team will assist you if they get more aggressive.
played for the first time in a long time and i feel like they fucked up the performance
i used to get a constant 60 FPS now i keep dipping down to 30 randomly
Yeah the patches raped the performance.
It used to run silky smooth now its laggy as shit on some maps.
check your corpse/decal decay, arena ffa rapes my pc if my corpse decay is more than a minute
arena ffa reminds me of the 32 player shipment servers on cod4

God why do some people moan so hard?
The community is a bunch of crybabies.
I don't know why, but that seems to be the motif behind most Chivalry players.
I always love it when higher ranked players commend me on my skill and hate it when a really "experienced" player acts like a know-it-all douche and shits on everyone just to get a rise out of them.
i suddenly suck at this game all of sudden
first day i played this i'd kill everything and everyone, now i am lucky to get a k/d ratio of 1

If you started playing on/right after a free weekend, that would make the game significantly easier.

have there been a free weekend recently? i bought it when it was on sale a few days back
All the newbies quit the game already I guess.
The average player in a server is reasonably good. They can block most attacks and whatnot. Of course if they ever match up against a good player they will get ass raped but thats just how it is in this game.
I remember buying a four-pack with friends on release, and they quit because "The game's impossible"
We still play it at parties and such, and they complain that I'm hacking because I fisticuff them down every time they swing at me
that's the biggest issue for me. whenever i get into a fight with another guy, we keep parrying each other until my team or his team comes to the aid and either of us get buttfucked. either by TK or by the other team
