I've figured out how to be the grandmaster of duel mode
Go MaA and lead people on wild goose chases, bonus points if you make them think they have you cornered then do a sneaky dodge. Eventually it will say "30 seconds left in duel." When the timer runs out the guy with the lowest health dies, if you both have the same it's random. You have three options here:
Bait them into swinging at you, this time instead of dodging like they expect parry and stab them w/ norse sword (then run like hell)
Bait them into jumping a gap their class can't get across and taking a minuscule amount of fall damage. If you have full health this makes you win automatically. (extra asshole points for this method)
Just let the RNG decide and get lucky. Master asshole points awarded for this.
It's so striking that players that are above rank 40 knows every move or has naughty tricks...like abusing the swinging animations exploit (making a overhead for example and drag you're mouse downwards as you make the swing) or whatever that is called. And mostly they use feints too.
And i still sometimes gets kicked for no reason when joining 2/16 on TDM or TO and it is REALLY getting annoying. You can't do nothing if 2 players knows each other and they are votekicking you just for the unbalancing teams, or your interrupting the fight, while actually it's a public server. If they want to do 1 vs 1 then they should create their own server, or they should join a duel mode server.
I've also seen people using the maa class recently. Is this because they know it's bugged or anything? Or am i wrong here? It's like they know how to hit you even when you block at his direction.
The community for Chivarly is the possibly the worst i have ever seen.
I was team wounding this guy and kicked him off a cliff, and he responds by calling me a teamkiller, then i put a votekick on him and with 80% voting yes he was gone.
I regret nothing.
The fallen tree bridge to the royal family on that corpse cart/sewer map offers the greatest opportunity to kick people.

its basically a log with room for only two side by side, with a raging river underneath, and is also useful to lure enemies onto for the ease in getting them to fall off

Working as intended.
You have to block like literally 90 degrees to your left/right.
I feel like a large amount of the reason people have trouble parrying in Chivalry is because everyone is told "look at the tip" as a new player.
[t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/chivalryparry.png[/t]
Except as demonstrated by my lovely MS Paint diagram, this doesn't always work at close range because the parry box doesn't cover you entirely. The important thing with MaAs is to use Chivalry's wonderful torso movement to position your parry box somewhere where the enemy is forced to hit it or miss you entirely.

Like that. Except Neo should've parried that last one. Then he could've initiated a combo overhead hidden behind his model and mousedragged it onto Agent Jones' face.
So I just had an interesting couple of matches, proving that this game's community is really as awful as everyone already knows.
Just playing TO, and this guy called Happy decides he doesn't like me, and starts hitting me in spawn and starts a votekick on me. Which went through, despite me having only ~11% team damage.
I leave and join a classic server which is running FFA on Moor. He joins and goes on a rampage hunting me down specifically, only killing others when they attack him. Eventually the game ends and goes onto TO, and he joins the team that I'm on. He attacks me, I don't fight back and start a votekick, which succeeds because 100% TD.
Some time later, another guy with a different name, The Slow (who had actually been in that first TO game), joins and pulls the same shit. So I votekick him too.
I then come off Chivalry and notice that somebody has started going through my youtube videos dropping some really pathetic troll comments, whom I block.
[t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/sdasda1.png[/t]
I have no idea what I did to him. According to a friend that I was playing with, after I got votekicked he said something like "niggers jews screw em white power" and left to find me.

I fucking love TDM on that map because I can just go all "you shall not pass" on the log. The only problem is the irritating archers.

Archers and firepots solely exist so you can't be a giant dickhead and shieldblock every choke on the map with knights.
Lately while playing TO-Darkforrest I thought they should actually model the royal family. Maybe one of the groups is servants and 2 sons, one has some lesser royals like uncles and the last group has the queen and her handmaidens. Would increase my immersion into the pillaging.

I'm not choking shit, I'm an MaA usually packing a quarterstaff trying to duel people. It tends to involve a lot of running away and dying quickly, and most people just use the bridge anyway.

So youre mad that youre dying because youre trying to duel in a team based gamemode?
deadliest warrior is now on steam
Pirates and Ninjas don't really belong as being considered the deadliest warriors when you consider there is stuff like Roman Legionaries, Maori Warriors not being in the game.

Tbh if it wasnt sponsored by spike tv my wager would be that they'd picked better groups to represent through out history.

Or maybe without Spike's sponsorship they wouldn't have made the DLC in the first place.
Anyone know how to actually play the pre-order beta of Deadliest Warriors?

People on Reddit say that you'll get an email from the humble bundle team with a link to generate your steam key. (I guess it uses the humble bundle mailing system?)

that's what the deadliest warrior video game is for
you can kill people with a fish in it as a mongolian warrior
The devs for this game have officially sold out. I mean the game's been going downhill for a while now. Taking too slow to address basic balance issues, kneejerk patch balancing when it does come, the asinine customization that unlike TF2, most certainly does look entirely out of place in the game's setting. And now the we got Spike.TV licensed DLC. Tornbanner joins PGI of Mechwarrior Online infamy of trashy game designers.

Found out earlier today, install and launch the chivalry beta, an option to launch deadliest warriors appears when you launch it.

All I want is a clientside option to disable customization and a Claymore nerf (mainly on its combo stab)
Loving this Deadliest Warrior, no health or stamina with a pirate aiming a rifle at me, so I throw my 2 handed battleaxe at him and it explodes his head. :v:
Since the free weekend started, I'm not making any progress toward new weapons. Is there a fix/workaround for this? I've tried looking at the Steam forum for this game but holy shit that place is a nightmare.
Well, Chivalry is going to be boring over the weekend thanks to all the servers being filled up by overseas 200+ pings who don't seem to realise that their game is unplayable.
I gotta agree.
People use any tactics to cheat.
One noticeably cheap tactic with archers is that they arrow your ass, then run, switch to knife (dagger) then finish you off.
It's annoying as hell. And I mean, I know it's in the game, but still...
It's not right.

i hate it when those knights hit me with their sword
i mean wtf
Hey guys, I picked chivalry up a few weeks ago and I've finally begun to get a handle on the mechanics. Right now I love to play as the knight using whatever bastard weapon I feel like. So far, I feel like it's a lot more useful to have your alternate slash ready if you're going into a fight than the regular one. Then you can pass your enemy on his left, so you're closer to the end of his arc if he throws a regular swing at you. That, and I feel like people really just don't expect it. I've used it to get around players shields while circling to the left around them. Gotta be close to do it, but it works well enough. I'm never quite sure when the best time to deliver pokes with my sword are. Usually I do it when I'm trading hits, so my hit can connect faster. Sometimes I get some face stabs in doing that. What are some of the strategies you guys use?

My two favoured strategies are to dodge rather than parry, making them waste stamina and allowing you to push them onto the defensive; and to get into a rhythm before promptly not swinging at the time they expect.
Both throw people off their timing and give you a nice big hole in their defense, and the latter is basically feignting without taking advantage of the animation/losing stamina.
Can someone open all unlocks server?
