Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft V3 - The Argent Tournament is GETTING IN HERE *Uhuhuhuh*

Decided I'd play the tavern brawl today (where you draw into your curve automatically)
Quickly whip up paladin deck with objectively good minions.
3 hunters in a row
1 of them golden portrait
All of them only play 1 or 2 drops (in the brawl where you can draw perfectly into your curve! how dumb are these people)
Win all 3
Pretty much every druid deck needs 7 epics, a few critical rares, and shades to get to rank 15. Hardest class to build when you're F2P.
Handlock?
I completelt misread todays tavern brawl and thought it meant on cards no matter the cost would start at one mana, then two and so on. I filled a priest completely with high cost legendary's with a few common priest spells and fought a control Druid.
Don't know how I won, but the guy just couldn't keep up with me dropping a 8/8 each turn.

Hardest class. With warlock you can build some cheap zoo deck for cheap.
[editline]qwe[/editline]
Actually I would say warrior is the hardest. Token druid isn't that expensive except for Cenarius which isn't a must have. Warrior aggro doesn't really work so you can use patron (which requires 3500 gold worth of wings) or control (which requires 3500 dollars worth of packs)

Handlock isn't the only option for warlock though.

Apparently I RNG'd so hard I also killed his Fireball
Casino Mage best mage, having loads of fun and climbing ranks like a madman.

Mind sharing the deck list?
It's very rare that I take breaks from Hearthstone, since it's a very casual game, but encountering two secret paladins in a row in the tavern brawl sort of reminded me that I'm really not having fun with hearthstone anymore. I didn't think TGT would make me enjoy the game less, but with new mechanics falling on their faces (joust etc) the game just isn't engaging.
As soon as a hearthstone streamer changed game he lost 11k viewers
Man people really like to watch it I guess
Woaw another lame brawl, this time just make the best curve you can
Mid-Range for the win.

I think watching Hearthstone is like watching chess, it's fun to watch and judge both play's plays and think to yourself how would YOU make those plays.
That's my guess anyway.
Okay.

Warrior isn't hardest ever since patron became a thing
Patron is super cheap to craft. Not easy to play if you are new though and aren't familiar with matchups
Token druid is okay at best plus you'll have most success just playing the version that uses the same cards as combo/ramp, in which case you are really just doing a variation of those decks.
Normal Zoo is best place to start, as far as "real" decks go.
Speaking of budget decks here's two very fun, very expensive decks. (Giants deck has 10 epics)

Swapping Illuminator for a 2nd Duplicate would probly make it much better but i'm testing it out.

The craftable cards themselves cost 800 dust, which is extremely cheap, but to get death's bite (and unstable ghoul on the way), you need to pay 2800 gold, and another 700 for patrons and thaurissan.
This brawl really emphasizes how absurdly strong Voidcaller is.
This Tavern Brawl is a pretty cool concept but in application it feels really boring to me. If I wanted to play against meta decks that always curved out perfectly I'd play ladder.
It was boobs, not some weird porn. Are you really that innocent?
Nah, boobs are pretty cool. Sites like that have always felt greasy to me because I'm the kind of dude who prefers to keep his porn and vido gamses separate. Call me old fashioned.

Makes sense but at first you made it sound as if you saw some really weird fetish porn.

That ice barrier synergy!
[T]http://www.hearthcards.net/cards/3b08d270.png[/T]
Spellslinger 2.0 for casino mages. Yeti stats, symmetrical effect but giving a spell instead of triggering Unstable Portal might give you spell synergy. Also RNG because this game needs more RNG.

His effect should be every other character takes 2 damage the first time a player attacks or uses a hero ability.
TGT legends I've unpacked
1x Lightbane
2x Chillmaw
2x Icehowl
Also someone clued me in on this Priest deck for the brawl.

Well, it works. Gets you your pack so you can get the fuck outta there.

I take it back. Playing a bunch of aggro shit T1 - T5 then Holy Wrathing people for +10 damage is a fun and interactive experience. I like hitting those 20s when I'm behind and then watching their portrait explode behind their wall of minions.
I feel like playing this game like a free to play game is literally impossible and unenjoyable because I can't win against anyone with the basic decks
[editline]8th October 2015[/editline]
like leveling them up, I lose every time because I just don't have a half decent deck what so ever.

it's not impossible, especially when you start to get a bigger understanding of what makes a card good
there's a lot of cards nowadays that are outclassed but still very good if you don't have the cards that outclass them, or ones that are solid but don't exactly fit the meta too well. yeti, senjin shieldmasta, troggzor etc come to mind

it just seems that starting out the game, without dumping in at least 50$, I can't actually get anywhere. I don't know.
The game's encouraging me to play certain classes to do the quests, if I don't do those quests, I won't get cards to keep playing this game, but I can't fucking win 2 games with a warlock, I've played 20 fucking games, I've tried taking my time and making the best decisions I can, but it's utter horse shit.
I've tried making my own decks but I don't understand the overarching meta of the game because I don't have any of the cards to play with myself.
I guess that's what arenas for but then you can't level up your heros? I just don't get how I'm ever going to get a even mildly decent deck, let alone all the basic cards if this is how the game functions.
[editline]9th October 2015[/editline]
oh and I can't even play arena because again, that's a pay to enter thing that the game won't give me the gold to access
like, I just don't want to dump a bunch of money into this game, that's reasonable, but at this point, when everyone has at least a few awesome cards to toss down every match, every match, then I don't know how to even begin to get anywhere let alone learn how the game works.
Just keep on playing and build up your collection. Experience helps you win games and get a better understanding. Also, a pro player (it was Trump I think?) made quite a lot of just basic card starter decks that are actually quite decent. Don't give up here, Hearthstone is a wonderful game.
Thing is. A fuckton of the good shit is in adventures. Which are 700 per wing.
If you don't do them you might as well be hitting your head against a brick wall. Like me.
Savannah Highmane is probably the best card in the game (besides the good doctor) and it's only a rare.

Why isn't there any guide like "Welcome to Dota 2, you suck"?
Easiest rule to follow when you only have basic cards: Just x2 of the best raw stat minions like Chillwind Yeti, Acidic Ooze, Shieldmasta and squeeze your deck with class cards.
Don't bother with strategy (except zoo maybe) because you'll most likely lose, just do efficient and smart trades.
Just grind one class for a bit then try living off Brawl (especially when decks are provided)
Also watch some Trump tuts on basic card decks.
