Yes, it is terrible. It got nerfed pretty early on. It used to be a 1/1 for 1 that drew a card. So that was a million times better than what is now.
no it was a 2 mana 1-2, so it couldn't be pinged off it honestly should be buffed back to a 1-2, loot hoarder is still better since deathrattle synergy and more attack King's ellek is way better, and that new spider card that discovers a 3 cost card seems way better. Overall, I don't see it being run ever again in a meta deck. A 1 mana card that draws a card would be fucking broken lol, they wouldn't ever be in the game as it'd be a must have in every deck. Deck thinning would be pretty broken :V
how the fuck do you people keep pulling legendaries? I have literally never seen a single one from a pack between maybe 30 packs from gameplay and 14 from purchases
can someone explain Novice Engineer to me? It's a 1/1 minion, for two mana, with a battlecry that draws a single card. Isn't this terrible? Wouldn't you be better off if you hadn't drawn it at all, and instead had drawn the card that you really wanted for free? Is it mostly just for classes that don't get removal with their hero power?
Because you can't have 28 cards in your deck. Not that it is a good card right now, but if you're playing a combo deck, you want to have your combo and as much card draw as possible so you can draw your combo.
Its a cheap cycle for decks that mightn't have that as an option.
Its a cheap cycle for decks that mightn't have that as an option.
I used to run 1 loot hoarder 1 novice in my weird miracle deck, worked well Now there's just better options tho, so meh.
-snipidisnip- Pardon gents, I'll be on my way.
I just died to It Lives! on the XXXXXXXXXL challenge while it had so little HP left you couldn't even see it... Other than that, Afterbirth is pretty fun so far from what miniscule bit I've explored of it. Also, can anyway tell me what the PJ's does? It just said "It feels cozy" or something.
I have no idea what this means. I googled the future expansion wings for anything XXXXL but I got nothing. Last part really throws me for a loop.

Even then that sounds OP

Coziness affects how warmly the innkeeper welcomes you when you start the game, as well as the lighting scheme and the nature of the ambient background conversation.

The only time Novice sees play is in certain Freeze Mage builds for immediate cycle compared to Scientist and Loot Hoarder. Its role in that deck is to push you closer to your win condition (Burn) by 'thinning' your deck like Arcane Intellect does. It's completely design restricting and presents blatant power creep.
glad i got the bearded guy i mentioned instead of crafting him playing with him and the like sorta reminded me why i'm not a huge mage player
Is Face Hunter dead? I haven't seen a hunter for a week now. Or am I just extremely lucky?
Is Face Hunter dead? I haven't seen a hunter for a week now. Or am I just extremely lucky?
with all the reno decks floating around it's probably not the best time to play it
I have no idea what this means. I googled the future expansion wings for anything XXXXL but I got nothing.
Or is it still secret paladin being #1?
None of your business!
Anybody else getting an insane number of Varian's from the tavern brawl right now? I got 4 the game before this and 1 the game before that. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/FY1JIox.jpg[/img_thumb] The pirate army of Stormwind has been in full effect lately.

Card draw is roughly worth 2 mana. So Novice engineer gets you on demand card draw, and you get a 1/1 body out of it. It is technically not a bad card because of that alone. But it just doesn't do enough in a meta where what you play on turn 2 has a huge effect. You can also think of Novice engineer as a deck thinner. Effectively playing it advances to the next card in your deck which is very important for combos (and why Gnomish Inventor was played in Patron). The problem is, if you want a deck thinner you might as well play Loot Horder which fills the same purpose for better stats but is delayed until it dies. Thats not a problem though if your deck is slow anyways. [editline]22nd November 2015[/editline]
with all the reno decks floating around it's probably not the best time to play it
I really hate that it seems like the ladder has turned into my dream meta right now but I'm taking a break from Hearthstone. Mostly because I played enough of it these past months and have too much other stuff to play instead. Just don't have the desire to hop on and play, prob for at least a few months.
I hit rank ten in like five mins with my new meta adjusted druid. Prolly cruise to rank five in a day or two.
Here's what I think Novice Engineer as: A Delayed Neutral Shiv that can be buffed by something that isn't spellpower.
[img_thumb]http://puu.sh/luM34/a56d5001c7.jpg[/img_thumb] I'm gonna assume it's safe to dust both of these.
Not quite what was planned.
Is Face Hunter dead? I haven't seen a hunter for a week now. Or am I just extremely lucky?
I think you're lucky and I'm quite jealous - they seem to be every other deck I face atm :^(
[t]http://i.imgur.com/iI0REN3.png[/t] Kids these days grow up so fast.
Rank 7 at the moment. Sailing through ranked like butter, this is the best deck that can be played right now. Good against Reno decks, control decks, and aggro decks. What more can one ask for stranger?
Decklist pls?

Arcane Intellect, Nourish, Mortal Coil, Sprint all follow that.
The Reno Dreadsteed deck feels really, really good. We've seen a lot of shit experimented with but I feel like this could definitely be a new staple deck. Everything just seems to click despite having batshit cards like Sideshow Spelleater.
