The general philosophy for card design seems to be that card draw is worth 2, but card cycle is only worth 1. Arcane Intellect, Nourish, Mortal Coil, Sprint all follow that.
not quite. both drawing and cycling a card is valued at 2 mana, but cards have an inherent 1-mana value. When you see card which draws multiple cards, you have to account for the inherent mana value in the card (so Arcane Intellect is really like spending 4 mana, since you're also expending a card, and then each card drawn is costed at 2 mana)
Sideshow will probably be replaced with Sir Finley after he comes out, I think.
I think it'll flip flop. Finely for metas with less warriors, Spelleaters for the meta with lots of warriors (because you specifically want to steal Tank Up rather than risk just getting something average). Maybe Spelleater will just get dropped for something else entirely and be the tech slot since the OP for Reno Danksteeds specified that Spelleater is ONLY there for the warrior matchup.
As an aside I think the way HS has slowly integrated cards like Finely and Grand Crusader into the game is cool. It feels like the closest we'll get the MTG's mixing of colors and I'm looking forward to seeing how Finely will allow classes to bend outside of their traditional roles (more specifically, I'm excited to play Priest with the Hunter hero power and all their burn).

Keep in mind class cards are more valuable naturally and are designed to be better than equivalent neutrals, also spells are a bit different in value than actually having a body on the board.
Let's take a moment to really think how overpowered Dr. Boom is. Not only is Dr. Boom too strong for his stats, he has these bonuses:
- Battlecry synergy (Brann)
- Deathrattle synergy (Rivendare, Unearthed raptor)
- Mech synergy (Powermace, Goblin blastmage)
- Token synergy (Bloodlust, Savage roar)
- Protection from random effects (Deadly shot, Bomb lobber)
- Situational protection against AoE damage (boom bots deal 2-8 face damage against freeze mage's empty board)
- Random damage against stealthed minions (Shade of naxxramas)
I admit the last ones are so situational they're balanced by situational weaknesses like Unleash the dogs, MCT or Sacred trial, but still that's at least 4 solid synergies. I wonder if Dr. Boom's stats were assigned when Boom bots dealt random damage to any target. It would make sense from a balance viewpoint (neutral card with great stats and tons of synergies vs. risk of boom bots killing Dr. Boom or yourself) and the "WARNING: Bots may explode" text would make more sense that way.
They don't call him Dr.Balanced for no reason.
At least now Sacred Trial counters the fuck outta him.

But it's a Legendary so you can only run one copy, gets countered by Nerub'ar Weblord, and isn't required for a good deck!!!
I really don't get the Dr. Boom drama train
Yeah he's a good card, so what? It is honestly rare for a game I'm playing to be determined by Dr. Boom and have never played a single game where I go "OH FUCK ITS DR BALANCED LMAO GG" when my opponent plays him. There are always counters to him, situations in which he is entirely too slow to play, etc. Sure, his strength is that you can't easily fully counter Dr. Boom but BGH'ing a 7/7 with him having only two boom bots on board rarely decides the game unless things were very even and the bots land with perfect RNG. A lot of current meta decks don't even run him because it turns out spending 7 mana for a card that doesn't often contribute to any real win conditions that a lot of decks have isn't good. And frankly, how bad is it that there exists a 7+ drop that is actually worth playing precisely because it still has some value even when countered? There is a reason it is costed strictly as a late game minion.
There are FAR more annoying cards to play against than Dr. Boom. Mysterious Challenger for example.
i wouldn't mind the power creep if they later went back and changed the original card. not necessarily making it strictly better but at least make it different. make war golem take 1 less damage from all sources or something, i don't know. there's absolutely no reason to oversaturate your card pool with straight upgrades on purpose
I think Dr. Boom would be totally fine if he was a 7/6
then again I play a lot of mage

Not quite what was planned.
I love Misdirection but the best way to use it is to have an empty board when Hunter has some of the best Tempo creatures in the game. Very early on in my Hearthstone career I remember the days of facing Handlocks and having Molten giants kill each other or Tirions blasting Uther in the face.

Dr. Boom apologist.

[sp]Weeaboom[/sp]
god, joust is so fucking shit
hanging on barely against a face hunter, topdeck tuskar jouster finally and draw ironbeak owl vs haunted creeper when i've got all my big cards in the deck
Imma just save my quests until the next brawl, hopefully if it's not one of those deck build brawls.
How does this look? I've been trying a Midrange Pally brew with Reno

EDIT:
After some testing I swapped the 2nd consecrate for an Avenging Wrath instead.
Suggestions welcome!

One of the Shielded Minibots for a Lorewalker Cho.
Might as well have some fun if you are gonna play Pally.
I recently came up with this and I've been doing well with it so far, only losing once because of a ramp druid as far as I remember.

Any improvements I can do?

I'm like, rank 18 or something too.

Don't have him sadly :(

I use it in a Lock and Load deck.

not the most consistent deck but its a fun one
why not put another explorer's hat in?
Damn, just had a massive loss streak taking me from rank 15 to 20. In other news ive been thinking of dusting my harrison jones, cernarius and justicar truehart to craft a dr. boom. Good or bad idea?

All three of those are great Legendaries. Harrison is great in a weapon-heavy meta and is just in general good tech (imagine Aggro Shaman with double Doomhammer having a resurgence) Cenarius is downright amazing and certainly fits in more controlling Druid archetypes, and Justicar Trueheart is essential to Control Warrior. I'd recommend just grinding more until you get Dr. Boom, because unpacking Legendaries is a massive discount in the long run.

maybe sleep over it, sounds like you're tilting to me.
At rank 5 my Druid deck seems to be stalling a bit. Going to keep running it though due to it's win percentage being so high against everything. Secret pallies can be little shits but unless they curve very well they aren't the end of the world.

Don't dust any of those
Cenarius you might be able to get away with. He's really good, but there aren't any druid decks that really take full advantage of him yet and obv not useful if you never play druid
Justicar is top tier and a key role in a few decks. Harrison is extremely useful tech against weapon classes, so not quite top tier but always useful.
Boom is great and all but look into what it does for your decks (or future decks). justicar is a key part in control/fatigue warrior, key in control priest, and useful in decks like paladin/druid (mill). Boom on the other hand is just a really nice 7 drop that you can technically get similar impact by subbing him out with any other good value late game minion. He's not really a key part in any deck, just the best value/stats late game card for the cost.
I made this today

Sucks you don't have tirion, he's pretty much core in a midrange paladin deck imo

I do have tirion
