I looked up the notable warlocks section on the WoW wiki and aside from those two it was a bunch of demons and some random Forsaken quest giver So maybe the warlock hero portrait swap will just be Cho'Gall? Or I guess the rogue is a comic character, it could be something like that
I think there was some Forsaken Warlock in the same comics the Valeera was in who basically took the demon possessing her and then purged it inside of himself. If that's not the most fuckin' Warlock thing you've ever heard than you're a goddamn liar. He might have just been a powerful Mage though. Cho'gall is definitely an option but it might be a little weird since he's not one of the character races (Yeah Rexxars half Ogre but whatever) and also he basically turned into a crazy walking old god wart. With that Legion expansion coming out I wouldn't doubt them introducing some kind of powerful new Warlock character who they plop in HS.
Really enjoying the new expansion, Reno heavily encourages interesting deck building and discovery is a really fun mechanic.
Going by my dated knowledge of only WC1-3 lore, shouldn't Ner'Zhul be a Warlock? Unless WoW only classifies him as some sort of corrupted Shaman. [editline]27th November 2015[/editline] Or Necromancer. [editline]27th November 2015[/editline] Oh right, the whole Lich King thing happened. Nevermind about that.
Speaking of which, it's really weird Hearthstone's three expansions and three adventures in and Arthas isn't a card yet
I have no doubts Arthas will be the playable hero for a Death Knight class.
Speaking of which, it's really weird Hearthstone's three expansions and three adventures in and Arthas isn't a card yet
Gotta wait for the right moment on that one. Probably the next adventure we get. I mean, Brann asks Magni if hes seen Muradin when he's summoned so maybe that's supposed to be a subtle nod to us eventually getting Wrath content? They also gave some nods to it back during the TGT expansion announcement.
I have no doubts Arthas will be the playable hero for a Death Knight class.
hoping and waiting for this
DK ain't happening soon IMO. I can more see Arthas as a Legendary card.
There's no death knight anywhere near iconic as Arthas. Heavens, there may be no Warcraft character as iconic as Arthas.
Illidan is pretty damn hype, too bad he sucks in HS.
With the Paladin hero skin possibly coming with the next batch of hero skins, it would be cool to have reskinned dudes with hero power and muster for battle
With the Paladin hero skin possibly coming with the next batch of hero skins, it would be cool to have reskinned dudes with hero power and muster for battle
Reskinned hero power dudes are a given (if not what the fuck Blizz), I doubt they're going to change Muster tho.
I had an idea about changing Druids Justicar hero power to a choose one format What do you guys think?
I think that's a tiny bit too strong. Sure is interesting, though. The day Savagery can be decent is a good day indeed.
They really dropped the ball on some upgraded Hero Powers Shamans need some unfair cards.
There's no death knight anywhere near iconic as Arthas. Heavens, there may be no Warcraft character as iconic as Arthas.
Highlord Darion Mograine? [editline]28th November 2015[/editline]
They really dropped the ball on some upgraded Hero Powers Shamans need some unfair cards.
Also, it's funny, I slapped Justicar in my totem shaman deck and Totemic Slam really puts in some work against other control classes. I can hoard spellpower totems or taunt totems if we're topdecking.
Highlord Darion Mograine?
Was kind of important for one expansion, did nothing before and has done nothing since.
Highlord Darion Mograine?
point is, if there were to be a DK class, Arthas would be the character portrait, Morgraine likely for its legendary
They really dropped the ball on some upgraded Hero Powers Shamans need some unfair cards.
I rarely have touched hs since that update came out, but from what I remember its actually not awful. If healing totem healed face again it'd actually be amazing. Against a face deck? Spam taunt Need health? Spam healing totems Need spell power? Don't need any of those 3? 1-1 searing totems. It's honestly not bad, removing rng and letting you get more than 1 of a type is actually nice.
point is, if there were to be a DK class, Arthas would be the character portrait, Morgraine likely for its legendary
Not necessarily. I don't think they'd put in Arthas as the DK class because while he was a DK, Arthas' most memorable accomplishment was becoming the Lich King. Hell, they could shove in Teron Gorefiend considering he was THE first Death Knight.
I love that 28 cards in my deck are non-secrets but in the 5 games I've played this deck I've either had them in my starting hand/mulligan or drawn them turn 1.

Gorefiend would make for a good portrait. Feel free to fight me Arthas fans, but he's the first known Death-Knight (and you get to play with him as soon as Warcraft II).
With Jaina having Antonidas as a legendary, Garrosh having Grommash, and Uther having Tirion, I think it isn't unlikely for Arthas to be the class legendary rather than the hero.
A few ideas I had jumbling about that I made a while ago that was left in my HearthCard account until I somehow managed to log back in (and admittedly, all but Shieldsmasher are most likely unbalanced as hell): [t]http://i.imgur.com/Uq51kqv.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/IpmKNMG.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/uERSxTp.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/rLlXTMV.png[/t] Shieldsmasher's idea was purely on the name. Break sturdy shield, go through Ice Block! v :v: v (Just be sure you activate the secret first.) The Undead Mercenary was kind of a finicky one to find a balance for, and it was something I made before the Cho'gall (Suakeli's card seems more balanced than what I got). It's better than the Dancing Swords (and the Yetis, obviously), and you can choose the crappiest card your opponent could ever have, so I put a cost discount to try to compensate for that. I'm not exactly sure what made me think having the Corpsemonger discover at the start of your turn was a good idea; most likely should be at the end, instead (especially when you compare that to the Azure Drake). Also haven't thought about the wording, but I guess it's up to debate whether it should be all discarded cards or just yours. I've always been a fan of passing on card texts to other minions; this would be my second one, so far. A better Sen'jin Shieldmasta (just like Fierce Monkey being a better Ironfur Grizzly), having the shield being passed around until you have no board.
Shieldsmasher looks too situational with the amount of Immune cards being played. I know it's a Tech card, but this is just too specific and 90% of the time it's played, it's juts going to be a 2/3. Might become viable if Immune gets spread amongst all classes and becomes viable, let's hope that doesn't happen. Undead Merc looks fine, the cost discount seems to be working here. I like it. Corpsemonger as it is now is not going to work. Mainly because Discardlock is not going to work. And this will always die. Oh, well. Guardian Steelhorn is an interesting card, I like the concept but I'm not sure if this should be really a better Sen'jin. I think it would be good and more balanced if it was just a Sen'jin + the Deathrattle as it is. I think this might bolster Taunt Warrior, wich is something Blizzard has been shoving us since TGT. EDIT: Wait a second. Can the card text copying copy something else than Taunt? If so, this card is stupid broken.

I just like the idea, but yeah it is absurdly situational. Maybe when the meta somehow becomes Mages, Warlocks, and Hunters that utilize Immune for some reason, and even then... Class cards are meant to be better than neutrals most of the time, and my thought for Steelhorn is the chance of giving Taunt to a minion you don't want having Taunt (i.e. Emperor Thaurissan). A 3/5 could be fine tho.
EDIT: Wait a second. Can the card text copying copy something else than Taunt? Justicar would work great in a strong midrange/heavy control type of shaman, which just isn't possible. The closest thing to that is Crusher shaman from ages ago, but that kind of deck just isn't viable anymore after all these expansions. Maybe. Who knows, reno and that new trogg might have changed things up a bit.
The new trogg has brought Face Shaman into play. And bolstered about every other deck that ran Zombie Chow before Uldaman happened.
