None of your business.
Speaking of you-know-who, Blizzard missed the perfect opportunity for Gossip Girl's intro reference in MC description.
"And who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell ... You know you love me. XOXO, Gossip Girl"

I cobbled together an aggro mech mage deck because I was tired of losing to real decks and I immediately skyrocketed to rank 15 with an actual positive winrate despite not having fel reavers to finish my aggression with

Don't worry, Mech Mage is not currently the popular aggro deck so you won't have to put up with too much salt from people. Post the list if you want some input, Fel Reavers in Mech Mage are more of a tech/personal choice. So long as you're not running shit like Micro Machine you should be good.

who knows what secrets we'll uncover
okay, am I crazy, or is J. Trueheart's priest/warrior bonus complete bullshit?
if the game is even remotely close, she makes it unwinnable. not fun yo
Don't forget paladin
even more paladin bots on ladder... yay
wish blizzard would fix this shit

priest is fine
warrior is op imo
Most health priest can have is always 30, healing minions is strong but an extra 2 rarely matters in the standard priest deck
Warrior just snowballs armor
Just started playing again. Sheesh, I've got a lot of catching up to do. I stopped playing right before they announced wings. So I only have the first booster pack cards, and not even all of those :v:
Just a few questions:
1. Is the only way to get gold via winning 3 games/daily quest?
2. What is the Tavern Brawl? And does it give rewards?
3. Should I save my gold up for wings, or should I be doing Arenas with it?
4. Finally, if I were to spend $ on this game, what would be the best bang for my buck?

1. At the end of the season you'll get a chest with some rewards in it based on your highest rank that season, which can contain gold. That and arena rewards are the only other two things that can get you gold.
2. Different gamemode each week. Some examples are - your deck is almost entirely unsatble portals, when you play a minion get a spell with the same mana cost, play as ragnaros. You can complete quests and get 3 win golds through them, and the first time you win one each week you get a reward (almost always a classic pack)
3. If you're not against the idea of spending some real $$$ then the adventures are easily the best purchase. Otherwise it depends on whether you already have a decent collection of cards from packs. You probably don't since you just got back in, so in that case arenas are the best.
4. As above, adventures are both super fun and super, super $ efficient.

There are a few one-time-only hidden quests aimed at beginners, as well as Arena gold rewards if you can get enough wins.
2. What is the Tavern Brawl? And does it give rewards?
Tavern Brawls are alternate game modes that change every week and last for a couple of days. Sometimes you'll have to build a deck that goes well with the ruleset provided, sometimes you get a prebuilt one. You get a little goodie (usually card packs, most recently an alternate cardback) for your first win and can complete quests in this mode. It's mostly meant as a casual/fun mode, tho when there's a brawl going on where people may build their own decks, it gets saturated by netdeckers all the same.

Cool. Hopefully it's something good.

Ok cool. I'll probably pick up an adventure or two after Christmas.
So I should be playing ranked over casual before the month is over so I could get a better chest probably.
Is there a specific adventure that has better cards than the others for specific classes?
IMO Explorer > Naxx > BlackRock
You should review them in detail (check sites) before planning to purchase each wing.
I do recommend wing 1 BR at least.
I cannot win in this game anymore. I've fallen from rank 11 to 16 so far.
Naxx got some of the most staple cards, Blackrock is just full of fucking dragons (except first 2 wings), LoE gives the most amount of cards per wing, also power creep.
I checked the rewards and this is my recommended progression based on best cards for someone just starting out:
Naxx1+2 > LoE 1+2 > Naxx3+4 > BR1 > LoE > Naxx5 > BR
Prioritize Adventures over buying cards for sure
Adventures guarantee dozens of top tier cards that are useful in every deck and quite a few legendaries too. Sure there are a lot of garbage cards too, but not nearly as many as you'd get in a pack. Packs have top tier cards too, but the chances of you unpacking what you need are much much lower than just spending the 700 gold to get specific cards in an adventure wing. Plus you can always use dust to craft specific cards from packs that you need to round out your deck.
Naxx generally has the best, most relevant cards. Get that for sure because there's pretty much a "Best X card for the cost" in every wing. Mad scientist for example is still one of the best 2-cost cards in the game.
League of Explorers is excellent, because not only does it have more cards than the other adventures but there's a really high percentage of high quality cards in it. Almost every one of the legendaries is strong, though you generally have to build a deck around them. It is currently has the most meta-defining cards in it right now, though you might not be able to take great advantage of them if your collection is non existent.
Blackrock Mountain isn't great compared to the other two. The first wing is top teir, but the rest of the adventure is full of either bad or forgettable cards. You generally don't need to worry about it unless you plan on making a Dragon Priest, or just want some solid guaranteed late game legendaries to play (Nefarian and Chromaggus are good cards, just not that much better than the legendaries you can craft with dust or find in packs)

randomonium is a good tavern brawl
I'm 6-0 in this Tavern Brawl, am I just really lucky or is Warlock really good with fluctuating mana costs

I haven't won one game, yet
I keep facing Paladins getting all of these cheap big minions. Meanwhile, my big minions either get a small discount or none at all. :tableflip:
This brawl is the fucking worst.
Alright, I can confirm I'm just lucky

Topdecking with cards you're unfamiliar with is hell
I played malganis + 2 dreadsteeds pretty early on
This brawl is basically why I can't get good rng in an actual game
Anyone else that really liked the idea behind Curse of Rafaam?

Also, Happy feast of Winterveil!
curse of stagnation, can't charge
slows down aggro and delays combo

I don't understand people who ignore bodies that create value simply by existing on the board.

I guess Blizzard wants me to come forth.
