Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft V3 - The Argent Tournament is GETTING IN HERE *Uhuhuhuh*

For 2 mana you can get a 2/3 with a decent effect. I don't think a vanilla minion with one extra health is worth that huge drawback.
I doubt it's going to see play unless there's a card like Undertaker for inspire minions.
If you haven't played the game for a while is it worth getting back into it without using money?

As someone who's been playing this game for over a year without paying a cent the answer is...
NOPE
If I tried to get into the game now, instead of some time before Naxx I would just give up.
You can play without using real money, but the Naxx adventure is still basically a must if you want to play ladder competitively and a new expansion is going to be launching next month meaning way more cards. It's probably one of the better times to start playing again though, especially with future arena change giving more pack variety.

I'd say that you should come back and play brawls every once in a while. It gives the same reward as playing on ladder and you can also do quests, but a lot the time it gives you a deck making a lack of card a problem of the past.
i've been playing this whole time without any adventures
it's painful
but i like the challenge i guess
Enemy has 5 minions all with relatively high hp, but I have the Mage minion which tosses 2 damage divided among enemies when I cast a spell
I draw the paladin spell that changes ALL minions' health to 1, so now all the beefy enemies are 1 hp and the mage minion kills two of them
Cast two more portals and the minion kills the remaining three
There are many plays that feel hella satisfying, and hot damn is this one of them.
The turn after my opponent changed my 7/1 Sea Giant into 1/7 with the spare part that switches attack and health, and then tossed a dwarf with 2 dmg battlecry. It took him a moment to realize the misplay :v:
I feel like Freeze could be expanded into a more anti-aggro mechanic, so I whipped up couple cards:

The 2/4 that can't attack isn't completely terrible, it could be your 3-4th ancient watcher in handlock that can attack sometimes. Could see its uses as another meat shield since we now have 3 sets of 8/8s. Probably won't since it would be the worst card in the deck, but it could be somewhat useful against aggro.
finding it impossible to go more than 3-3 with rogue in arena
i hate myself

oooooh i'm jealous. I like gold cards to a degree that I'd rather get a gold epic than a normal legendary.

All my packs are like this. I bought 40 packs and got a single legendary. It was blingtron.
It's my favorite when a face huntard says well played.
It's my favorite when a face huntard says well played.
My favorite was them saying well played to me when I was at 1 and they were at 20 and then I topdecked rockbiter weapon for my doomhammer and had bloodlust for my totems and killed him that turn.
I was spamming well played as hard as my mouse could handle.
New Card: "Spellslinger"

A fun/frustrating lil' card with base stat-line for a 3 drop. 'Nuf said.
That said, it'll probably benefit the Mage more (so by default, you) considering stuff like Sorcerer's Apprentice, Flamewaker, and Antonidas, but you never know.
You could put it in a Mill Mage for an overdraw effect like Mukla, but the problem is that Mages always did Fatigue better than they did Mill.
If you play a card that discards 1 card, no matter how many cards are in your hand, you will ALWAYS discard Jaraxxus.
[editline]31st July 2015[/editline]
Even if you don't have Jaraxxus, somehow, he will be discarded.
So after some work and trial and error I think I have my very first solid custom deck without a guide!

Why the stormpike commandos? I feel like you should replace those with shielded minibots because you are going to need that early game presence.
An Idea of reaching around taunts or finishing minions, as well as curve.
Even though I have no idea about curve.
Stormpike commander is pretty bad, you lose 2.5 mana of stats for a 1 mana spell.

Yeah the bots are better. Thanks guys.
Unpacked a Ancient Brewmaster, should I replace one of the youthful with him? or would that mess with my curve?

I think a good move might be to just take out the Youthfuls and the Mad Bombers and replace them with Mad Scientists and Haunted Creepers if you have them. Mad Scientists definitely so that you can just mulligan away your secrets and get them played through your Scientists, leaving you with a thinner deck to draw cards that you want.
Also tech in at least one Ironbeak Owl if you have it because it's always imperative to run a silence nowadays.
So IMO cut:
-Youthful Brewmasters
-Mad Bombers
-Stormpike Commandos
and replace with:
-2x Mad Scientist
-2x Haunted Creeper
-1x Ironbeak Owl(if possible)
-1x Chillwind Yeti(2x if no Ironbeak)
I was already told to ditch the secrets.
Also the scientists aren't so useful if I have only two secrets that are useful for me.
the brewmasters worth with bringing back the Peacekeepers, the defender of argus, etc.
The creeper and yeti are things that are for basic decks, this is a deck I wanted to make from scratch.
I want to add in the ancient brewmaster because of his 5/4 body, even if he costs 2 more mana.

It's always hard to judge a deck from someone that doesn't have all the cards. You don't know what he actually has that maybe didn't get put in the deck.
Here are decks around the 1000 dust mark for new players in the current meta: https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/3e1mso/shengs_1000_dust_budget_decks_for_new_players/
idk if you just wanna netdeck and / or follow guides but I think it's the fastest way to increase your winratio as a player with few cards available which in turn nets you more packs for your collection.
Brawl of the year all years.
