Darnassus Panther Rider
2 mana 2/3 druid card
Battlecry: Gain an empty mana crystal
Deathrattle: Destroy a mana crystal
Shredder just got nerfed.
this minion only gets you value on the following turn so it looks like the kind of slow card that easily gets frostbolted on turn 2
it's interesting, but definitively a card i wouldn't coin out against a mage or another druid
Thus ensuring that outside from gimmick decks and portal/shredder shenenigans this card will never see play in constructed.

No?
It's a really strong card, you must not be thinking hard enough.
Remember watcher druid with 2 wailing souls? This would be insanely good in that.
It also opens up buff decks, giving them ramp and a REALLY good minion to buff up. If its silenced, hexed, or polymorphed you don't give a fuck. You keep your tempo and forced them to spend their time dealing with it. If its silenced, you basically paid 2 cards for a 2-3 and a wildgrowth.
This card will be played around with a lot, and probably make a new archetype or make watcher druid way more viable.
Also, Flame Juggler may seem bad, but its honestly not. It's a decent body with a great battlecry. Yes, knife juggler is better but knife juggler is one of the best classic cards. Think about it like this, Flame Juggler gives you a knife as it enters the field. Sometimes playing a Knife Juggler directly on a board feels bad, because you wanna combo it with a minion. Knife juggler is usually a 4-5 mana card in paladin, due to you wanting to play a 2 drop/heropower/muster with it. This lets you just play a fair stats minion on turn 2, while possibly killing a minion. That's my main problem with flame juggler, it shouldn't be "hit a random enemy", it should be "hit a random enemy minion". As it is, it may be too inconsistent.

I certainly did not, that was an actual thing?

i remember back when doing a wailing soul deck with paladin (because silence works on equality) that the deck fell apart mostly because of the times when you didn't draw wailing soul and/or your opponent could deal with your board and get the benefit your minions provided
i don't think this card fixes that
Pretty well. Control Pally seems a really solid deck with this month's quirks and most common decks.
Awesome, what makes it so strong then? I'm personally playing a Control Warrior deck.
I certainly did not, that was an actual thing?
It was mostly an experiment.
Firebat, BlameTruth, Tidesoftime, and various other people tried it out.
It's amazing when it works, and insanely fun. It's not THAT gimmicky, especially firebat's version.

It's something I think people will play with a lot more now, especially with the 2-3. Can probably take a more ramp route. It's probably one of the most interesting cards they have printed, as well as being a highly suggested card. IIRC, people on reddit suggested for a 1 mana legendary to do this, but the downside was it was a 1-1 or something. The fact it's a rare and will be seen a lot in arena and the fact you can have two in a deck makes me think it'll be a fantastic card.
Also, keep in mind its a 2-3 with no downside. Yes, you lose the mana crystal but you also gained one. It's sort of like "WEEEEE", in that if left on the board you may just win the game very fast.

Also, this card counters freezing trap/mirror and makes piloted shredder/mindgames worse. I love it. About time mindgames gets out of the meta

Well for the first time in a while I'm noticing more rush decks in place of tempo decks so Control Pally works because of cards like Zombie Chow, Shielded Minibot, and Muster for Battle. And if the game goes late Pally is fine too thanks to cards like Rag, Fordring, and Healbot. (in my case I only run one since Lay on Hands is a thing)

So what's the point of this card? You don't have any attack during the opponent's turn and it has taunt so it can't use the attack on your own turn.
It's a straight upgrade to shieldbearer, the bonus is it gains +1 damage from your hero power when you use it.
It'd never see play, but it reminds me of the mtg taunt cards
The best thing with Panther Rider is that I'll finally have something to play against those damn Mirror Images and Freezing Traps. Also, it's a nerf to Shredder and that's welcome.
Hey, it's a somewhat-counter to Sylvanas!
Using whirlwind on zoo decks is so satisfying.
Also I don't see how Rag is really useful.
He's a powerful Mad Bomber that fires a massive 8 damage shot, but it's random. It'll either hit the dangerous Mal'Ganis, or the wimpy annoy a tron.
Plus it's going to get wrecked next turn by everyone and anyone. Big Game Hunter, Shadowword: Death, polymorph, assassinate, etc.
I just do not see any use for him at all, besides gambling your luck.

I'm sad that my custom decks are failing hard against everything. I don't want to net deck, that's too easy and expensive.
Or maybe I just don't know how to custom deck since I'm not a hardcore TCG'er.
Do what I do. Net deck but take ideas from fun/obscure decks vs just top meta ones.
i remember back when doing a wailing soul deck with paladin (because silence works on equality) that the deck fell apart mostly because of the times when you didn't draw wailing soul and/or your opponent could deal with your board and get the benefit your minions provided

Decks based around Wailing Souls are gimmicky as hell, the moment you don't draw it the whole deck turns against you.
I don't think this card will be that popular anyway, because wildgrowth is way more versatile (it doubles as a card draw at 10 mana after all) and the mana bonus is always permament, which Darnassus Aspirant can't provide every single time.
It might replace Grove Tender in some variants of ramp druid but that's about it, definitely won't warrant a deck builded around it. Unlike Savage Combatant which, depending on the rest of TGT cards, might bring back the druid decks of early Hearthstone.
I made another card.

Maybe two health is too high for a stealth minion with such an effect. One health would make it quite a bit riskier, since even a stray knife could kill it.

I feel like there aren't enough AoE cards out there being run that could counter this.
If only cards would also break Stealth if they took damage too...

Don't they? I remember one of my ogre hitting an Ogre Ninja and it broke his stealth.
That Darnassus Panther Rider really sounds like a bag of fun. I'm sure it'll lead to some funny compilations of Druids bouncing it back several times for loads of mana crystals or Shamans Ancestral Spirit/Reincarnating it to destroy the enemy mana pool. Maybe it'll even reinvigorate the aforementioned Wailing Soul deck, or at least make for a good Recombobulator combo.
Also messes with Mirror Entity, Freeze Trap, Shredder, Shadow Madness, etc.
One of the cooler spoilers so far imo.

That's because the ninja dealt damage to your ogre
Dealing damage breaks stealth, like if you use a stealth sparepart on a flamewaker

Seems good in zoo
idk, the majority of 2 drops easily trade into that, don't think it's that good

I thought they were trying to stop the aggro meta. Oh well...

Turn 1 Flame Imp, turn 2 Wrathguard, kill enemy 2 drop with imp and you will probably kill whatever he drops on turn 3 with wrath.
rip priest

Don't know why but this card tickles me sweetly, I love it.
Looks really strong, could it see play in some weird handlock? Doubt it, but yay 2 cards that are not bad in a row. Keep going blizzard
3 cards imo, argent horserider is pretty good
Fuck wrong thread.
Does it actually count in overkill damage? If so, that card is pretty shit then lol
If it does, Blizzard sucks at balancing. Sooooo much.
