Perhaps Twisting Nether might gain some value from this :v:
But they will respawn anyway.

...Ben Brode did you really vote for this?
Fun Fact: This is the original Echoing Ooze design, which cost 7 mana originally but was scraped because they dident like how Warriors could combo it with Warsong for infinite board clears...
It's not impressive but it is really fucking annoying. Zoo decks might experiment with it because you have to invest in a silence to get rid of it and you'll always have a target for buff effects past turn 4 but yeah... 4 mana 1/1.
But they will respawn anyway.
Exactly. Board clear your opponent while you have a bunch of annoying little 1/1's all over the place to ping with.
Dreadsteed is definitely the kind of card that can combo out of control, but currently it seems a bit useless in Warlock. I guess having a permanent minion on the board guarantees that you can use your Power Overwhelming, etc. but is that really worth spending 4 mana for?
It's very possible that this card will see play in the future though, because other cards might make it a valuable combo piece.
it can also work against you if your board fills up much because then you cant play any fucking minions and will have to silence one and then kill it to play anything
How are you planning on silencing it if you can't play anything?
The only way to get rid of them is to kill the Baron/Kel'thuzad and then play the silence. Unless you filled your board with them in some other way. Then you are fucking screwed.
i'd love to play patron warrior against that thing
i'd love to play patron warrior against that thing
Oh right
That thing
Well there goes my plans with trying out Dreadsteed. :v:
If you faceless their Warsong you can attack in such a way with Dreadsteeds that you can clear their board completely.
Horse vengeance.
no you can't?
no you can't?
Yes you can. Fill board with patrons, attack all of them until they're at 1 hp, then kill them.
why am I an idiot
why am I an idiot
Don't question it, just accept it.
It's what I do.
Anyway, you can maybe use Dreadsteeds for Mortal Coil/Sacrificial Pact fodder? Bane of Doom works on it too, seems more like a card that you would use to sacrifice for something.
why am I an idiot
I am of the opinion that nobody is an idiot, we just have varying bouts of massive dumb from time to time.
guys dreadsteed is infinite sac pact value
stealth OP

dreadsteed is so bad that i consider it a nerf to bane of doom
[editline]10th August 2015[/editline]
i would rather bane of doom summoned shit through my letterbox than a dreadsteed

it's also a nerf to piloted sky golem
If he was free to come out (i.e. from bane or golem) then I wouldn't mind so much. Always having board presence every turn can be really useful, even if it's shit

Mal'ganis synergy, a 3,3 that never dies is a whole lot more intimidating.
Now it's theorycraft, but the idea that thanks to Wilfred Fizzlebang MASTER SUMMONER having a free mal'gans to buff the dreadsteed or heck just a free dreadsteed might be a little easier to stomach.
But it will be resigned to the pile of chery picked youtube combo wins...

Very nice but dear god as if doomguard wasn't enough to be scared about.
Like you see a guy play a DG and you're all like "HAHAHAHAH he threw away he Jaraxxus what a dweeb!" and suddenly he's used two power overwhelmings and you've taken more face damage than most people should ever have to suffer in a reasonable amunt of time.
If he gets lucky a warlock could, with that card, do 19 damage in one turn with an empty board... which is nearly as bad as the good old druid combo of skill of nature + double savage roar.
Is it me, or is Loatheb just not that useful of a 5-drop?
Apparently on my Midrange Paladin, it's the least relevant card (less so than Guardian of Kings and Ysera), so I substituted it with Azure Drake in the mean time.
It locks out board clear for a turn and 5/5 are great stats for the meta (survives Truesilver, Shredder, Deaths Bite; kills Belcher and Emperor)

That's what I was thinking, but from the matches I've reviewed, there have been one or two times it prevented a board clear on the matches I've won, and the other times it was just a 5/5 body.
I've went with Azure Drake because it seems to be more consistent, plus has that Consecration synergy. But who knows, I'll probably start going into a lot of matches where I go "God damn it, why did I replace Loatheb" either because of a board clear I could've stopped or because of the -1/-1

the fuck is this turn 1 play

loatheb can prevent a board wipe, lock in lethal(by preventing a board wipe/lock out healing), prevent some kind of removal or prevent your opponent from killing you
getting loatheb'd just as you're about to clear and stabilize is soul crushing
