Everyone is hyped about Varian but holy shit Rhonin adds so much Late-game fuel to any Mage, this is quite close to Antonidas Quality for late-game oriented mages.

Lets consider this: Assuming the base statline for a 5-mana card is 11 stats (which I don't believe there's a 5-mana card with that many stats yet), this loses 5 stats. Getting a River Crocolisk or Bloodfen Raptor is decent enough, but then there are [b]so[/b] many higher-stat Beasts that the Ram Wrangler is probably going to get good value more than half the time. It's funny how that got revealed just as I finished tweaking my Hunter Beast deck. :v:

Makes sense they would do a repeat of the best brawl before shipping a TGT related one and adding lots of new Brawls with TGT Patch.

I don't think you'd want to play Varian in a patron deck. Unless you already have a Warsong out, putting your Patrons and Berserkers in play is pretty terrible.
