is there a mod that lets you play animations on your character? that would be super useful for making videos
I would. I have a question though. Has anyone had to re-download GTA 5 if they reinstall windows?
I'd like to know that, too. I'm going to wipe my system and install a new mainboard some time in the next few weeks, and I'd hate to have to spend 60 hours downloading it again. If that were the case, I'd probably postpone the wipe until I've had enough of GTA V.
Self Radio did something cool again Contains action, suspense, tragedy, and achievement. [editline]t[/editline] Shadowplay makes my game stutter like crazy, even set to lower recording resolution and framerate. That stutter came very close to costing me $12000 :v:
Hey I am having this trouble with weird graphics glitches: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/540774740463063724/E4327EF782B7FEE3D90776A9EAA8D3F44F538577/?interpolation=lanczos-none&output-quality=95&fit=inside|2048:864&composite-to=*,*|2048:864&background-color=black/[/t] See in grass where wet reflection is supposed to be? It also happens when driving and seeing trees in distance. GTX 970.
Anyone?
Anyone?
Looks like FXAA artifacting. I get it too, it's less noticeable in motion.
I don't think that's how you hold a gun turret. [t]http://i.imgur.com/7qIqs7z.jpg[/t]
I sure hope nobody comes up to me with a cash minigun and shoots me with a bajillion dollars, no way. if i want my stuff i'll get it the old fashioned way: playing random missions and heists with arguably low payouts because rockstar wants your money by making you purchase overpriced digital money.

With an extra 1 mil for loyalty and another 1 mil for all in order. That's 3mil for 5-6 hours work. That's the equivalent of $50. I wouldn't say heists have low payout.
Kid tried killing me earlier with a grenade launcher, hit me once far away and again up close and he died, I encountered him again in his car, and I noticed him stickying my Insurgent, so I tried getting close to him so he blows himself up, but I was too far away when he detonated, and I didnt scratch him, but I survived and gunned him down with the AP Pistol, I think he was a bit buttflustered. Being level 90+ has its perks. Every so often I come across a player of a lower level who decides to be an asshole when I'm minding my own business, and shoots or tries to shoot me. Then I pull out my .50 rifle and harrass them until they ragequit. Good times. Lemme tell ya, nothing quite beats the feeling of firing a bullet from a sniper rifle that takes out the gunner in the turret of a moving insurgent from the top of the Maze Bank tower when he's nearly half a klick away - Too far for players to render if they're not in vehicles. And nothing beats the feeling of sniping said player or his buds out of the pilot's seat of the Valkyrie, Savage or Hydra they come after you in when you've killed them a few times. Oh god, the rage is delicious.
AMD has some issues with MSAA or something, cant remember try messing around with settings until that thing stops
Nice, that seemed to subdue it. Cheers.
I'm in a game with only two other people, so I've just been sitting around doing my own stuff, looking at cars to buy in the future, things like that. I'm sitting on a motorcycle next to my garage while doing this. I suddenly hear a helicopter and the sound of metal crunch. I close the phone and one of the two guys is trying to land his helicopter on top of me, then starts trying to hit me with the rotors, thinking I'm AFK. So I just remain still and wait. And eventually he lands right beside me. So while he is running around the front of the helicopter, I switch weapons to the shotgun and simply wait. He comes around front, raises his gun to fire, and I suddenly snap up my shotgun and blow a hole through his chest, instantly killing him. I then rolled fifteen feet to my garage, grabbed, my Insurgent, and was greeted with "Uh oh" in the chat. He stole a nearby Infernus and did his best to haul ass away from me. Ended up smashing in to a median only a block or two away and getting stuck. I'm rolling up calmly and he is trying to hit me with rockets, and missing I must add. I pull up beside him, he panics and tries to get back in his Infernus, but he barely gets the door open before I empty my AP pistol in to his skull. He didn't try to come near me again after that. The fact you can wield the short shotgun on motorcycles is amazing, because so many people don't expect a blast of high damage to erupt in their face at point black range.
That's one of the big reasons I'm liking the Blazer. You can fire the sawed off while riding that too, and it's much more stable than a bike when it comes to getting in, taking the shot and getting out again. You're much less likely to wipe out if you clip the vehicle you're gunning, so you can get RIGHT next to it and practically stick the shotgun into their window.
if i moved GTA V to an empty external HDD, would i get better performance? by this i mean i noticed when i play the game and travel through the city/anywhere really, i get some stutters cause it's trying to load the map. otherwise, i get 60FPS solid. my internal HDD only has ~70 gigs left so maybe that could impact it idk here's my setup: it even happens on lowest settings so i know that my quality isn't the problem. these stutters get really unbearable after about an hour of play.
Some hacker sprayed money at me while i was chatting to a steam friend, luckily the server crashed at 240k. Thank you unstable servers i will never complain again.
if i moved GTA V to an empty external HDD, would i get better performance?
No If it's a USB 2.0 drive the game would stutter so much it'd be unplayable, USB 3.0 is a lot better but still slower than a regular internal SATA drive
No If it's a USB 2.0 drive the game would stutter so much it'd be unplayable, USB 3.0 is a lot better but still slower than a regular internal SATA drive
mmk. i'm going to have to find out where these stutters are coming from.
You're better off moving other things to the external HDD instead, if low capacity is your concern. The load times will be brutal when run from external media. If you're running Shadowplay, turn it off and see if that helps. I and many others are getting immense stuttering from Shadowplay.

I REALLY want R* to officially implement this, the cops right now are headed by pre-cogs and psychics.
Go to the pier, and sprint around and punch every single person there. I'm not kidding, its actually pretty effective, and it goes quicker as you level it up. After that, get a gun with a silencer, crouch, and then shoot everyone on the pier. They respawn very quickly and in large numbers, so its a buffet for working up the four S's.
well, I punched people there for like 30 minutes and nothing increased. does it not work in a mission? I read that accepting one of the car repo missions stops cops from spawning, which it did, but I'm not gaining any strength stat.
Ugh, fucks sake. I don't get it! I get ~40 some odd fps in single player, no problems at all, but as I play custom music it stutters so bad and freezes, plus online is almost unplayable now for me since it's also a stutter-fest. The stock stations are boring as shit after hearing everything for the nth time, I just want custom music :(

watching this makes me upset that rockstar didn't think of this. it's such an easy fix for a broken wanted system.
yeah from what i've heard Self Radio can cause some CPU load issues for some strange reason. i think it's being looked into but i'm not sure.
great so it'll never be fixed. Rockstar is great at making games, it's what comes after the fact that's the problem. They just don't fix shit.
i reeeeally doubt r*are going to make any big changes besides dlcs with weapons and cars
eh, they made some pretty drastic changes to the lighting and interiors of the garage and apartment entrances with the heist update, so I wouldn't say it's completely out of the question
eh, they made some pretty drastic changes to the lighting and interiors of the garage and apartment entrances with the heist update, so I wouldn't say it's completely out of the question
Because changing some lights and small rooms is the same as reworking one of the core game mechanics
Because changing some lights and small rooms is the same as reworking one of the core game mechanics
well if some modder can do it within a month of release, surely Rockstar can.

kinda odd that a little bit after V's release, modders fixed what many people wanted, while a huge company can barely say they're 'working' on something.
