Curious as to how the guy got verified with the Wikia (the whole site, not just GTAWiki) staff. He obviously had enough info to prove he was from Rockstar even though he wasn't.
now that the initial hype of GTAV has worn off i'm kind of left feeling a bit meh about it.
i really think that the supporting characters of GTAIV were far, far better developed and interesting. each one had a personality. the character driven focus of GTAV basically puts so much into the main three (that really aren't all that interesting once you get past their initial archtype - trevor is a madman, michael is the middle aged businesslike one, and franklin's the kid) they kind of fall off. none of them are particularly interesting unless they're with the other two.
the pacing of GTAV feels very strange and off in comparison to GTAIV (and all previous gta's) because of the way that mission structure is handled and separated through the characters. you also don't really have the same sense of progression as the others in the series have because the game is centered around heists.
there's honestly a lot of things about gtav that are far less satisfying than gtaiv - the shooting for instance. i don't know about anyone else but I found the gunplay in GTAIV to be far, far more fun than the gunplay in GTAV. I think a lot of that has to do with how quickly enemies put you down, it's turned gta from a sort of run and gun into a straight up cover shooter. before cover was a critical [I]component[/I] to surviving in GTAIV, but not the be all end all. in GTAV if you're not in cover you're going to die in seconds. that blows.
granted maybe there's something left, because i'm relatively early in the game - just finished the first assassination mission, the sub heist, and the FIB one after that. the heist mechanic is a cool one and is interesting, but not really enough to carry the game imo.
gtaiv felt better to me. except the driving.
i loved GTA IV's environment and character writing. it was hilarious and it played the dull feeling off really well. the radio, the car selections, the differences between the islands was really well executed as you progressed through the game
not to mention how great the DLCs were. TBoGT was fantastic and managed to take the exact same map and change the mood entirely with everything else around it

I was looking over all the 'talk' pages before they were deleted. Apparently whoever had the account had a legit looking e-mail. The Wikia staff event send a verification e-mail to that e-mail.

Them taking your weapons only lasts for that session and if he gave you a half a million dollars I'd say DON'T report him because that's a super dick move after he was nice to you.
A hacker gave me like $30,000,000 the other week. Haven't had anything happen to me yet. I don't really think Rockstar gives a shit about in game money all that much.

Is there a memory leak or something? Whenever I play GTA for more than like 45 minutes I bluescreen. I can only assume its GTA, I only ever bluescreen while playing it.

Check your CPU/GPU temps while you play, also download WhoCrashed to check what your bluescreen error is.

I would drive bikes but R* just made them so dull to drive. They basically have unlimited traction. It's like driving a train. I don't mind the increased speed, though.
