clip saving in this is so much more shit than it was in GTA IV. I'm trying to make a video of suicide bombing with explosives in the back of a pickup and what not, had quick record save whatever set to on, blew up and killed the guy and apparently it doesn't save it if you press it when you're dead because it didn't show up in my clips The editor itself is way better but the way clipsaving works is garbage

Fuck me We've been trying to do the prison heist for the last 3 hours It's always so easy, why are we suddenly being overrun by cops every time when it's time to regroup at the plane

If you wait to long, every fucker in the state spawns next to the plane and you're fucked. On a side note, I really wish I knew what caused my frame rate to tank at random intervals for no discernible reason, and makes me restart the game to clear it up

So my friend and I were driving around in the sewers and we both heard this heartbeat-like sound. Very loud, lots of bass. Ever since then, i've been hearing it everywhere, but much fainter. So I did a bit of tinkering with the new version of OpenIV that came out, which lets you modify the xml files and such for the game. I found out that, by default, players are able to get headshotted for 18x damage. NPCs also aim primarily for the head and seem to have superb accuracy on top of that. Ever wonder how a cop or enemy is able to instantly kill you even when in full cover, but peeking slightly out (AKA at the edge of cover)? It's because they're able to scrape the side of your character's head and instantly kill you. Setting the variable for that to 0 on all weapons makes it so headshots you get hit by deal the same damage as you would get hit by on the torso, complete with damage modifiers from the strength stat and the armor vest you buy from ammunation. This makes a lot of design choices by rockstar seem really odd, doesn't it? On a sidenote, NPCs have a variety of HP values, the smallest of which is 150, and the highest it can go is 200. Weapons also scale upwards in damage [B]very[/B] poorly. The normal pistol does 26 damage, while the combat pistol does 27, etc. The highest damage pistol/non-sniper rifle gun you can get is the .50 Pistol, which does an amazing 51 damage. I'll post more findings here if people want 'em.

I'm waiting for the unarmed attack mod that lets me punch cars and peds into space still.

Our last Demolitions guy, level 27, before the heist was like "Hey make me demo plz" and then he kept trying to shoot at things with the machine guns and failing miserably. He didn't know he had missiles. And then, after miserable failures at shooting the jet with missiles, he somehow managed to blow himself up. Why is it that when I host stuff it goes relatively smoothly but when my mate does it it always goes rubbish? Is a consistent group of people who aren't terrible at the game too much to ask for? I once upgraded a car for like 250,000$ and I lost all the upgrades. The god damn social club not saving is bullshit.

Was there a recent update to game or something? No idea why but in certain areas, namely the city when I just left my apartment, the frames are tanking down to the 20's. So I yesterday I was able to join public heist, the Prison job and actually finish it. I was about to get 160k, 100k being a bonus for my first heist. After all the money screens showed I guess there was supposed to be an ending cutscene/loading but instead the game crashed right there. Probably my first crash with this game. Of course when I come back I only have the 60k in my pocket. Also how do you do gestures in Online?
