morrowindart
as someone who hasn't played Morrowind or even finished any of the later games, this doesn't make me think of TES at all - looks much cooler and less generic than Skyrim and Oblivion :v: [editline]9th July 2013[/editline] does Morrowind even look like that in game? mostly talking about the last 3 images

But there's an atmosphere the drawings/art capture that's legit. That said, if morrowind was next gen and and everything that goes with it, it would pretty much be closely depicted to what that artist did. That's why morrowind was so awesome, because they really went all-in at making it so the dark elf culture, world, and setting was all very grounded, well-realized, and impactful. It spent a lot of care in making the setting and how you interact with it the most important thing about the game, versus making terrible "set pieces" and quests the most important thing. Going through my Skyrim Saves on PS3, played for 150 hours and made 307 saves.

Then again, the technology is already here, games like Just Cause 2 and GTA 4 show how a very large game world can exist without loading screens and endless glitching.
Just started a new save on PS3, still deciding what weapons I should focus on. Trying to decide between Unarmed, Magic, Two Handed or Sword and Shield. Making my way to Markarth for the Lover Stone then head back to Riverwood to continue on my path to Whiterun.
Red Mountain was more of a Red Lump
The thing resembled a red pimple about to blow - don't know why they decided to limit the heightmap like that; the SHoTN people are going to chafe like hell. But you can't deny they went all-out with the trompe l'oeil and suggestion in ways that Oblivion and Skyrim just hand off to the engine and its presumed capability to render rolling hills, thick forests, and high mountains - they're impressive, but don't engage.
Doing the side quest to go inside Moss Mother Cavern and kill the Spriggans at level 1. The first spriggan is wrecking my shit.
Doing the side quest to go inside Moss Mother Cavern and kill the Spriggans at level 1. The first spriggan is wrecking my shit.
They tend to do that. Your character tends to start with a fire spell.
you're kidding. morrowind was famous for its ctd's and savegame corruptions.
Well I've not put a tenth of the time into Morrowind that I've put into the other games I listed, but it's true.
I wonder if tamriel's ever gonna get invaded by another continent during one of the games.

[t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/WP_20130709_0031.jpg[/t] I fairly recently acquired what I consider to be the best helmet in existence; I bought it purely because it looked vaguely like the helmet from all the trailers.
You need to post a picture of you wearing it.
Bleh, a friend of mine has a bunch of them on his facebook that I'll procure when I next talk to him. I'm not going to attempt to take one of myself; because that only works if you're an attractive woman, not a scrawny, pale dude.

Just got invited to another ESO beta weekend, this patch is 20 gigs of new content. Can't wait.
Damn, still no invite [editline]9th July 2013[/editline] Hmm the blog says they're sending them out 'over the next few hours', might still have a chance.
I just thought of something. Is there any word of whether or not Vvardenfell is accessible in ESO?
I just thought of something. Is there any word of whether or not Vvardenfell is accessible in ESO?
I'd assume it is, they're supposed to cover every province and Vvardenfell is where the majority of the Dunmer live.
I'd assume it is, they're supposed to cover every province and Vvardenfell is where the majority of the Dunmer live.
I'm pretty sure when ESO takes place it was still a Tribunal "preserve" and even after it opened up the majority of the population lived on the mainland.
Yeah, apparently it wasn't settled until late in the 3rd era. I remember some people in Morrowind mentioning all of the cities being there for under 100 years. [editline]9th July 2013[/editline] Oh, nevermind, apparently it was only 13 years before Morrowind takes place, according to UESP.
So I uninstalled warzones: civil unrest because the war zones just got annoying. Now the game crashes everytime I get to the main menu, anyone have a fix for this?
So I uninstalled warzones: civil unrest because the war zones just got annoying. Now the game crashes everytime I get to the main menu, anyone have a fix for this?
Did you follow exact uninstall directions A lot of times you need to uninstall things a special way when it comes to mods because they alter things in a way where if you suddenly play without it, the game doesn't know what to do and just crashes. Also scritping is saved in your save data not the mod file, so mods that add scripts need to be uninstalled in a special way as well. If the mod author gives no instructions then sorry, it's just a generally shitty made mod (and last I checked, warzones was a pretty shit mod), or you just happen to have a specific load order or something in your data/ESP files that is looking for Warzones but can't find it On that note make sure if you are using bashed patches or ASIS and other such things to re-generate the patch. As bashed patches will still be expecting you to have Warzones installed and as such cause the game to crash if you don't have it.
So I uninstalled warzones: civil unrest because the war zones just got annoying. Now the game crashes everytime I get to the main menu, anyone have a fix for this?
Warzones is incredibly script-heavy and uninstalling any script-heavy mod improperly can screw stuff up. I've started loading up mods for Oblivion again. Kvatch Rebuilt is hidden which is upsetting, but I've got loads of immersion and area mods. Qarl's texture pack is taking a while. Optimizing INIs, fixing whatever I can to make it run well on my top-of-the-line-PC-circa-2008... NMM doesn't handle oblivion mods well, but I don't feel like redownloading OBMM when I can just BOSS them into a proper load order. NMM keeps lagging out on me and the installs are telling me that I'm missing files that I'm not. Frustrating.
So Riverwood was met with a terrible fate. [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/595882959727479707/B3B9F9E4BAE45A5F9E109B03BA40B0309F762CDF/[/t]
