Anyone tried the "Real Estate" mod? Is it worth trying out at all? Sounds rather interesting.
Sounds interesting but a bit strange. Every NPC is willing to sell their house? Are there any deadbeats you have to beat up to get the money?
i've spent the last hour trying to get the most cosmetic, inconsequential mod of mine to work belt-fastened quivers omg i want this so bad but it don't fucking work. i've tried both the workshop version and the frostfall version but neither work [editline]16th July 2013[/editline] also skyse and skyui are complaining about my papyrus, probably because i upped the amount of ram to use by like 2 gigs
The problem with belt fastened quivers is that it's a skeleton replacer so if you have anything else that changes human skeletons it wont work properly (i.e. realistic ragdolls, dual sheathes etc.) Once I have enough time and if I can get permission to use the custom animation (unlikely but I might just make one myself) I'd like to make the same but by changing the quiver meshes instead, way more compatible
Hmmm... regarding spell books (lore wise)... Maybe they disappear as a side affect of a magic which instantly imprints that shit into your brain? I mean otherwise you'd just be staring at magicka graphs and crap for hours. It'd make more sense if you read shit like this during waiting periods (much like the witcher only lets you level up/perform alchemy) But then again... it'd make more sense for people to rent spell books. Surely a spell book would be worth at least a thousand each?

Finished Dawnguard's vampire side for the first time and all I gotta say is...Harkon was too easy. Meanwhile a Dawnguard patrol kills me 17 times before I manage to defeat them. Harkon and his bitchy Vampire Lord form barely took me to half health. I've deemed my worst enemy to be archers. Fucking archers instashot me most of the time and crossbows every time. There is just no way.

I actually thought when I first played the spell tome disappearing thing was some sort of weird homage to Diablo, since in Diablo 1 when you read a spell tome it makes a cool sound and disappears too.
;41492418'] As confused and lost as I am, I'm still rather enjoying this. Exploring like this is pretty damn neat. And I have Arvak to ride with so that's not an issue either.
That's why I loved that part so much. Made me like dawnguard a lot
I just gave up trying to have challenging and fair combat in skyrim
It's either two extremes, You oneshot a bandit Or bandit oneshots you. There's no difference at all, you can't actually use strategy as it mostly delves into wait until they attack to push them then power swing until they're dead, if they hit you then for some fucking reason you die even though they don't look any different.
what's the best ENB mod? and how do you disable depth of field? i've tried so many ENB's because stock skyrim color grading is beyond an eyesore outside but yet most of the ENB's have the most extreme DOF I've ever seen and it's nauseating if you guys recommend anything else, I'm all ears

Otherwise, go to the Root folder (Where TESV.exe is) and open enbseries.ini and set EnableDepthOfField=true to false.
Link?
My mistake. Quite silly not to link the mod I am talking about: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37774/
Is the Skyrim Nexus crap for anyone else? When ever its not down its super slow.
I saw a headline in the news section once that the "DDoS season had started". I tried clicking on it, but then I got 502.
I'm getting bored already with my new level 10 nord warrior. Alreadywon the war for the stormcloaks ect. I think ill be starting a wood elf ranger today and explore the world of archery in this game. :D
You fool! You've doomed Skyrim even more!
I'm so fucking bad at modding skyrim. Like I mean I can't even get it to look right, god damn lighting overhauls and ENB's out the ass. [editline]17th July 2013[/editline] fuck this fucking shit
My collection grows with each passing hour

ENB has EdgeAA that works just fine. Also, what lighting mods did you install?
House Telvanni master race boring and predictable great houses need not apply
How does ENB fare with all the useless bells & whistles disabled, like ambient occlusion and DoF? Is it very taxing, or will I be able to run it on a 9600gt? I know the best answer is "see for yourself", but maybe someone here tried already. I'm using Climates of Tamriel, and I can't help but notice how "bland" it looks without any colour grading of sorts.
Spent the weekend playing Morrowind rather than customizing its visuals and I couldn't help but note the awesome unpredictability of hand-placed NPCs in dungeons rathered than leveled lists. First, in one particular daedric shrine, the combination of NPCs was such that I died, reloaded a save, re-strategized and completed it relatively easily at the cost of some scrolls and potions. In some daedric shrines whole groups of people have welped themselves at once and in others I simply had to write down the name and vow to come back with a vengeance at level twenty-something. Second, I walked outside and there was this one particular NPC who I'd missed. He happened to generate with a standard steel claymore and he fucked me up. Hard. Whereas the shrine itself involved some creativity, I had to reload over and over again with the right use of buffs just to get out of the dungeon. This one guy forced me to have an incredibly tense and involved struggle for my life well after I'd done the kill -> loot formula and it made the few items I'd grabbed feel more worth it. Third, I used half my scrolls and potions. I bee-lined it back to the nearest town to buy more. I sold some loot using the barter system only to make up the cost of what I was buying, and just barely. Money, loot, and item prices didn't feel meaningless, as in Skyrim. Finally, that NPC had a name, and I fucking remembered it. Burul gro-Orbuma. He and his cohort all had names, all were Orcs in a shrine, fittingly, to Malacath. I felt like I'd just busted in on some illicit ring of dickheads who were nonetheless just trying to mind their own business rather than Dungeon X with bad-guys Y. That's the narrative form of why I think leveling everything is stupid and lazy.
Unfortunately I can't find a mod that unlevels Skyrim anymore. There was one on Nexus but now it's gone. I want an unleveled Skyrim damn it.

Alternate Actors is amazing, you can pretty much play as an immortal being who possesses other people. Instead of dying you transform into a ghost so everytime you die you can just possess whoever killed you Can't wait to see what he'll do with it in the future
;41503822']Unfortunately I can't find a mod that unlevels Skyrim anymore. Besides, does being level 1 really unlevel Skyrim? I doubt it.
In Morrowind you can conjure a dagger or a sword which does pretty massive damage at low levels. But otherwise MW combat feels like
