Link?
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/36047/? I recommend either starting a new save or backing up your old one because things get buggy at times
Anybody know if there's a mod that makes the Dawnguard not hate your guts if you become a VL for the Soul Cairn quest? It seems odd that they're willing to work with Serana and yet they instantly cut ties with me if I do anything.
How does ENB fare with all the useless bells & whistles disabled, like ambient occlusion and DoF? Is it very taxing, or will I be able to run it on a 9600gt? I know the best answer is "see for yourself", but maybe someone here tried already. I'm using Climates of Tamriel, and I can't help but notice how "bland" it looks without any colour grading of sorts.
The newest ENB is nicely optimized, so without anything activated, (But I highly recommend enabling the better shadows) you'll only lose about 2-5 FPS. Also, have you tried Realistic Lighting Overhaul's weathers? I'm trying to get the best look possible and I'm looking for more opinions.
Buy a laptop. I dare you!
I have a laptop. It can play the game on low settings fine, after about 3 minutes of loading screens. I've tested the weathers on it, and I've had no FPS hit. Don't really want to try an ENB though....
Why do modders feel the need to have shaders and filters up the ass coupled with the worst possible lighting in their mod pictures
I hate looking at graphics mods where the author have ENB filters enabled. I mean sure it may look good on his screen, but how does it look in vanilla Skyrim or without super filter rape jambaree.
So it's ~technically~ possible to save Captain Renault in the very beginning of Oblivion
God I want to play Oblivion so badly again, though the animations and the armor design really put me off. Are there any animation packs that redo a lot of the animations, or just stray files strewn about the nexus?
They'd do well to have like... item models that can be changed with shaders and bodygroups. Like chain mail that can be made of iron, steel, bronze, elven, adamantium, ebony or whateve... Shirts that can be red, blue, green, brown... swords with randomized pommels/hilts/guards. It'd save a lot of effort (which can be focused on other things). Bethesda need to hire more lazy people.

I can get behind bodygroups, but look at what happened with clothing in Skyrim. They had five or six base models and just retextured them. The visual repetition ended up being ridiculous and basically said a thousand words about how the game world was ancillary to the combat and dungeon experience.
Speaking of which, I hate how the snow elf armor in dawnguard is literally elven and ebony armor mixed together and retextured.
So it's ~technically~ possible to save Captain Renault in the very beginning of Oblivion
Honestly I somehow managed to save her so many times when I started the game that I legit thought it was a glitch when she actually died.
I want a mod that lets you kill someone and then frame another NPC for it and get the guards on him/her, like planting the knife you used on their person then telling the guard about said NPC.
How do you close this gay ass ENB GUI?
How do you close this gay ass ENB GUI?
Shift+Enter
Thanks guys one more quick question. Anyway to get the sun to not shine through walls? This doesnt happen when the ENB is off.

Did you set bFloatPointRenderTarget to 1? Newest NVIDIA drivers and mobile NVIDIA cards have the sunray issue. http://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1874&p=26132&hilit=314#p26132
You are the fucken bomb diggity man <3
I sort of agree that the fluff surrounding the Empire vs elves, the whole issue with the White-Gold Concordat or whatever is pretty interesting and not exactly black and white, though the Aldmeri are pictured as pretty sly and evil. That could have been interesting to explore, but in the game the Thalmer are as one person said, elf Nazis. What could have been an interesting conflict turned into roaming gangs of Nazis and one infiltration mission into a building you can't access ever again.
[sp]When i played through skyrim the first time i chose the empire because of the thalmor, even though that's what they were planning. The way i saw it was the fact the splintering of skyrim would lead to the downfall of the empire at the hands of the elves. Skyrim simply did not have enough strength to successfully defeat the thalmor, if came to blows. However, a more unified empire would be more capable of defeating them. This is pretty much seen through the entirety of the game, the empire is the canonical choice. You have solitude which is pretty beautiful, a bright sunny place, the empire is friendly in dialog, they don't purposefully go out of their way to talk down to any race. Meanwhile stormcloaks and whiterun are nearly the complete opposite, there are homeless children, the city is maimed and frozen over, while the stormcloaks themselves are racist pigs. I felt the best choice would be the empire over the stormcloaks, because even if the stormcloaks managed to win the rebellion, they would have ultimately lost, while the empire still has a chance, although through unity with the blades or otherwise, to defeat the thalmor. They have the power, just at the time skyrim takes place, not the means.[/sp]

There's something about it and I can't put my finger on it. It's weird.
I've also had the itch to play Oblivion again, I don't know why but it's the game that I enjoy the most personally. There's something about it and I can't put my finger on it. It's weird.
It's the epic quests like the dark brotherhood quests or the thieves guild were you have to steal an elder scroll from the most heavily guarded fortress in Tamriel. And of course there's the Shivering Isles, the epic Daedric quests and there is just so much to do.
Let's not forget the painting quest, the Dark Brotherhood questline, most "basic" faction quests, and last but not least - the Adoring Fan. Also I liked the "generic dialogue" they did, sure Skyrim has more depth since the characters actually discuss their unique topics, problem is they only got like.. one, with only one given person. In Oblivion everyone could speak with everyone, and even though they discussed mudcrabs and Summerset Isles, it still added some nice depth to the game. In general, I think TES should go into the "simulation" aspect. I haven't seen any other RPG where cities actually felt alive, maybe Ultima 7. As clunky as it is with Gamebryo/Creation, it's still awesome effort put into it. Perhaps the next console generation will lead to a new, or heavily reworked engine, which will get rid of TES problems. Just look at their gamejam thing they did a while ago, pretty sure many of those features were left out because of hardware limitations. Speaking of, perhaps it is possible to splice up some basic dialogues from the existing voiceovers and have them work like in Oblivion. Hm, something to try when I get my hands on the CK.
Maybe, In Next-Gen TES, we will have real spears :v: [sp]Don't count on that[/sp]
Maybe, In Next-Gen TES, we will have real spears :v: [sp]Don't count on that[/sp]
Spears could have easily been done this gen. Eh, for next gen we'd probably want... No loading between houses/dungeons and exteriors. Ai that aren't fucking retarded. amazing animations possibly physics based damage. Clothing under armour boats realistic gore Terrifying dungeons. better sound.

Physics based damage exists too, haven't you ever been murdered by a hanging object for having the audacity to bump into it?
Maybe, In Next-Gen TES, we will have real spears :v: [sp]Don't count on that[/sp]
And infinite quests that aren't in dungeons 100% of the time.

(now when I think about it, Nexus would do awful stuff with that)
Spears could have easily been done this gen. Eh, for next gen we'd probably want... No loading between houses/dungeons and exteriors.
This requires a lot of engine work. Bethesda didn't even create their own engine and they are lazy programmers!
AI that aren't fucking retarded.
They tried this for Oblivion with radiant AI which made everyone kill each other and go to jail, they tried this for Skyrim with new systems which didn't leave Riverwood. Good AI in a Bethesda game? Leave it to the modders!
Amazing animations.
Bethesda making better animations? I guess this happens in the dimension where Todd Howard never was born and Kirkbride still was on the team.
Possibly physics based damage.
We have that in Skyrim, try standing on top of a bread or push a cart into the wall. :v:
Clothing under armour.
This was done all the way back in Morrowind. We're going backwards!
Boats.
There are already mods for that. I think trainwiz made one.
Realistic gore
Also a mod, but the soccer moms wouldn't like it.
Terrifying dungeons.
Fear in videogames is a long forgotten art. Now it's just spooky skeletons and jump scares.
Better sound.
Can easily be fixed by editing the master volume in an .ini file. If you don't like the sound in Skyrim, then there are several mods to replace it. Also, just to once again remind you who we are dealing with: [t]http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2012/06/howardheader.jpg[/t]
Anyone recommend me some mods for my playthrough? I've got Harvest Overhaul, Dance of Death, Falskaar, Helgen Reborn, Immersive Weapons, Immpersive Armours and Inconsequential NPCs in mind at the moment also SkyUI of course.
