Best thing to come out of Facepunch since "Fuck Shit Up"
How dare you dishonor the legendary sword!!! It is pronounced "Fuk Shit Up" n'wah.
How dare you dishonor the legendary sword!!! It is pronounced "Fuk Shit Up" n'wah.
Evidently he means the proposed viking game. Seeing as the sword was named "Fcuk you UP !" as far as I remember.
Do you know how hard it is to escort all of the Kvatch people (6 guards, 3 imperial legion guards) through the questline safely very
A spent a couple of hours doing that recently. It was even more annoying than it should have been since I had MMM/some combat mods installed.
Is Skyrim's PSB (unlock all 'spells') command supposed to make the game crash when you enter the magic menu? Messing around with all the spell effects was a fun way to pass time and empty the Imperial City in Oblivion, but I can't seem to be able to do that in Skyrim. There is also no list of quest/triggered/npc shouts/spells/powers so I can't add them manually with player.addspell #. If the crashing is normal or even abnormal, is there a way to fix it?
it usually works fine for me in the vanilla game and only crashes when I'm using certain mods. don't know which mods specifically cause the problem because there's a lot of them that do, even things you wouldn't really expect.
Do you know how hard it is to escort all of the Kvatch people (6 guards, 3 imperial legion guards) through the questline safely. Very.
That part is actually more interesting than the invasion of Whiterun, Windhelm, Solitude and pretty much any battle in the civil war in Skyrim put together. Although I remember it as being going into oblivion, brining the other guy there with me as a meat shield, using all my potions on the first enemies and go through the rest of the gate with most of my weapons broken, all potions used and a level-up waiting for me to sleep. Then I let everyone die when I was on my way to the chapel, because I had no resources to get me there alone, meet Martin and get the fuck out of there. After preparing a million potions, getting a full set of blade stuff and repairing everything, I return and try to do the rest of the quest, yet I still end up with fully broken armor, no potions and all my weapons feeling like twigs when I enter the castle. Meanwhile in Skyrim, you go through a section which is the equivalent of 2% of that with enough insta-heal potions to survive getting chopped into molecules and one-shot every enemy until you get to the boss, who you only do 3 damage to, which is equivalent to a normal fight in Oblivion. Bethesda simply have no idea what the word "balance" means.
*Marrying Flame Atronach*
*whistle* ... download link? *whistle*
*whistle* ... download link? *whistle*
I need to do some scripting to get it to work with summoned Flame Atronachs instead of just a special NPC spawned by console.

Is the game unplayable for anyone else? Recently bought it (skyrim) from the steam sale and installed it, no mods, and weird stuff is happening: 1. Instantly crashes to desktop when looking at water randomly 2. NPCs just vanish at random, sometimes in the middle of talking to them (can still pick what to say) 3. Jittery animations, wolfs/dogs especially keep trying to fly upwards or something, but they keep falling down and repeating this 4. Props going mad and flying all over the place at random (happens most often inside houses). Sometimes a prop flies into me and instantly kills me. 5. Sometimes I'll suddenly hear something that sounds like several things crashing into something over and over, sounds like something bashing into wood constantly 6. Sound cuts out entirely for a few seconds 7. Mysteriously dying with no apparent reason (this has only happened to me twice though in 4~ hours) 8. Walking into doors that I open can sometimes push me so hard that it makes me fly 9. more stuff I can't remember it's pretty wild What am I supposed to do to fix this?

No really, over 100 FPS the physics flip the fuck out, you need to limit it somehow, either by using vsync or some kind of FPS limiter. Nvidia Inspector (obviously only for nvidia cards) can do that, limit it to like 75 and those two problems will go away.

I wish we could find out more about Akavir. Having a game set between there and hammerfell and/or summerset isles would be kickass.
I wish we could find out more about Akavir. Having a game set between there and hammerfell and/or summerset isles would be kickass.
But all of the things there are weird! What I want to see happen with Akavir is the aftermath of a semi-failed Imperial invasion of it's westernmost areas, so you've got like transplanted Tamrielic people along with the Akaviri guys. Kind of like Morrowind.

Kind of like Morrowind.
What's wrong with weird? Morrowind had fucking great design, Skyrim and Potato Face Sim 2014 suffered from having so many ordinary hummans and ordinary humman cities. I want to Akavir to be a place where you have to hide from legions of snake-people trying to recapture you and a few other ex-slaves from the imperial continent. Make the main quest an ordinary man trying to escape Akavir with a few others, and all the side quests are where the fantastical lies.
I agree as I would love to see Akavir. It should have some sort of invasion in the process so that you can have the Tamriel races playable, and the modding community would have reference material to work with from Beth's work to have the Akaviri as custom races. The culture and the lore is just awesome.
I'd much rather we have all of tamriel covered before we start dealing with akavir
I'd much rather we have all of tamriel covered before we start dealing with akavir
Elder Scrolls Online has that covered.
Perfectly all right matey, we can wait until you're done tinkering. Bow unto thy king. Sanguine's quest in Oblivion is best Daedric Quest.
of course sanguine is best, he's the daedric prince of fun.
Can somebody help me with a problem I have in Morrowind? Every time I start a new game I get this loud staticy sound that keeps looping itself over and over getting louder and making the game lag like a bitch. All my other saves are fine but the lag and sound just keeps me from starting a new game. I have absolutely no idea what the cause could be. By the time I'm able to move the lag just ends up freezing the game. Actually anybody who goes in the new game boat gets it.
Whoo, I managed to make an item. It feels so simple and insignificant, too, yet so rewarding :C Seeing how my character is like the reincarnation of Magina the Angi-Mage, I figured that being oneshot by lightning mages every time simply won't do. An amulet with 99% spell resistance sounds absolutely broken but now at 1000 health it takes a lightning mage seven hits to kill me. I'm sure this example gives you an idea the pain i'm dealing with whenever I'm raiding mage camps. Without the amulet every projectile spell oneshots me without exceptions. I still managed to go by with some cunning and patience waiting with a drawn bow behind corners. Flame mages? Avoid projectiles. Frost mages? Don't get Ice Spiked. Lightning mages? GG. Not anymore. Even learned how to make a custom enchantment :3 It was a fun experience tho :v:
So are there any instruction on how to install ENBs? Every time I go find a somewhat decent ENB (Somber and such) there's never any instructions, and I darn't touch the download in case it fraks the game. Then again, I'm on a laptop, so it'll probably frag the game anyway.

Perfectly acceptable BethSoft engineering practice to me. [editline]27th July 2013[/editline]
But all of the things there are weird! [editline]27th July 2013[/editline]
Elder Scrolls Online has that covered.
...except for when that fact's denied with the claim that "Todd can pull it all if he wants". [editline]27th July 2013[/editline] If you've been browsing r/morrowind, you'll have found TR's screenshot of the entirety of Morrowind - note, though, that they get close to exhausting the heightmap near the Skyrim-Morrowind interface, which is a bit of a shitpie to present the SHoTN team with when they're attempting the Throat of the World.
I don't realy want to see akavir made by bethesda as it is now. I'd be interested in what they'd do in the morrowind days... but not now. They realy lack creativity. I assume akavir would draw from Chinese, Indian,Vietnamese, Korean, American indian and so on and so forth (rather like the last air bender) I'm excluding japan though. It's realy difficult to imagine snake people, tiger people, monkey people and yeti's in japanese clothing. Altmer are more japanese in my mind.
Never posed in here before, but I just got skyrim on the PC, I've started playing Falskaar and was wondering what other people thought, because, its obviously impressive! Buuuttt...Okay I have some major problems with it. the map being the main one, the island is such a stupid shape and the placement of the mountains is just really unimaginative and dumb. Im also not sure about the voice acting some of it is great, but a lot of it is ropy :/ I fell kind of sorry for the guy, hes clearly thrown himself at this whole project but he wants to be a level designer and his level design is one of the major flaws of the whole mod. Anyway, what do you guys think?
Level design is not the same as world design though.
Level design is not the same as world design though.
Actually thats very true!, Never thought about that, I duno thought, I think Still consider them one and the same, they have so many similar elements.
Elder Scrolls Online has that covered.
ESO isn't canon.
