At least, I hope Bethesda doesn't make it canonical.

Sheogorath is supposed to be the prince of creativity. A lil sheogorath and you're listening to fine tunes and dancing in a nicely decorated area. I suppose that's fun.
A little more sheogorath and you're trying to rape a flame atronach whilst disembowling your loved ones because you think you've got a disease which turns your shit into mushrooms. That's not realy that fun. (it sounds fun but it probably isn't)

And just a teensy teeny tiny little bit less Sheogorath than that you're trying to marry that flame atronach.
So...Altimor's grandfather is Sheogorath?
Could be worse.

What a cool grandpa
For some reason my game suddenly decided to use over 3,000,000 k according to the task manager whenever I go to an exterior cell, resulting in an unplayably unstable game. I've tried everything to find out what's causing it and i'd much rather not have to resort to starting over tbh.

Is your uGrids set to default 5? Anything higher will cause severe instability.

It's at default.

Any script-intensive mods? Or perhaps you uninstalled something recently, but the game is still trying to call on that mod?
Any script-intensive mods? Or perhaps you uninstalled something recently, but the game is still trying to call on that mod?
Only thing of note is that I installed Falskaar recently, though I don't really see how that one could cause issues imo.
I've heard skyrim runs worse on Crossfire. Is this true?
I've heard skyrim runs worse on Crossfire. Is this true?
From my personal experience.
Runs better, albeit with a few graphical glitches, like flickering water displacements (the ripples)
Then there's the silly 64hz bug that makes mouse movements stutter while at high sensitivity, but that's there even without crossfire.
I lost my Oblivion disk years ago and on Steam I can either get GOTY or GOTY Deluxe, which one should I get? It's only a 5 euro difference but still.
GOTY deluxe has all the small DLCs in addition to Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles, which is the only ones to come with basic GOTY. So if any of those 6 or 7 appeal to you, go for the Deluxe edition. And you used to be able to get the little DLCs from Bethesda's site, but they took them off quite awhile ago for some reason, so that bundle is the only legitimate way to own them these days.
Hm, I just recently came back to skyrim again, game is running fine, I got the mods I want and so. But I have one problem, there is a lot of stuttering, depending on what I am doing, doesn't matter if I am in windowed or fullscreen. This is really annoying since otherwise the game runs at a constant 60fps, until the stuttering happens.
I tried googling on it, but could only find people that got it solved by playing in windowed mode, but my stuttering is still there in windowed mode.
Any helps on this would be much appreciated.
I have been RPing as a banished dark elf from morrowind, who's seeking revenge. I'm trying to create the character he has bad blood with, but I can't get the outfit shit right. The character ends up naked in-game when I put the desired armor/weapons in his inventory, and reloading the cell appears to do nothing(cocing in, and out). And when I create a custom outfit for him, enchantments I put on specific items in the outfit affect all items of it's type(eg. enchanting his ebony gauntlets for onehanded 45 pts, enchants all ebony gauntlets).
I just want him to equip his enchanted sword, rings and armor, and put up a rewarding, challenging fight.
I could really use some help. Thanks

If you want to give him custom enchanted items, you need to duplicate the base object and add the enchantment to the new one. No idea why he isn't actually equipping stuff, though, Bethesda enemy AI, last I checked, always tried equipping the best stuff in their inventory

Alright, that'll fix the cross over enchantment problem. Thanks! I just gotta figure out how the outfit shit works. When I right click in the outfit list, and hit new, the box comes up as normal, but I cannot add equipment to it. Right clicking does nothing.
[editline]28th July 2013[/editline]
I'm going to bed, so I'm going to post more deets, in hopes of finding answers in the morning:
When the list depicting all of the prebuilt outfits is shown, right clicking, and hitting new helps in no way. With that box up, I cannot seem to add equipment to the outfit( I have not tried dragging and dropping)
I can get him to use spells, and he appears to be using the perks I gave him
I'm not sure what fighting style to pick for him. I want him to use spells, and a sword, so I picked battlemage. In battle however, he just uses spells, so I'm not sure if that's a problem with the fighting style, or I have to get him to actually equip the sword
I made him very aggressive, and set his mood to angry, and his courage level to foolhardy, and he seems to be friendly to his fellow reavers(This is desired. They're in the bandit faction right?)
For anyone that helps, thanks a bunch. If this works out, I might put him out in the workshop for anyone who's looking for an ebony-warrior esque fight.

Ever just stop in game to look at the weather and the horizon and just forget all about everything, just enjoying the view?

I wish vanilla Skyrim had a better atmosphere than just "gray or brown", the environment definetively look beautiful, but it never seem to set any mood to anything.

Well, ENB lightens it up a bit and covers up everything with lube.
I think they could have made skyrim look lots better with ease.
The density of the grass
Detail textures (especially since vanilla textures are so shitty)
Less ambient light (darker shadows)
Different fog for every dungeon (there's a cave that they said had red mist in it. It didn't have red mist. Stupid)
...and that would have been hardly any work. Another highlight of Bethesda's incompetence.
Humm, you could try setting iPresentInterval to 1 since you run at 60 frames anyhow. I don't see anything wrong here... You didn't force anything crazy through NVIDIA control panel did you? Hm, modlist might help.
Already tried setting it to one, barely no difference. No, on this installation of windows, I haven't forced any nvidia settings on any game.

That means performance rape for some computers.
Detail textures (especially since vanilla textures are so shitty)
They made a HD DLC, but it didn't change much. Also,
...and that would have been hardly any work. Another highlight of Bethesda's incompetence.
Redoing all the textures doesn't require much work?
Less ambient light (darker shadows)
How is this necessary?
Different fog for every dungeon (there's a cave that they said had red mist in it. It didn't have red mist. Stupid)
The kind of did this. In fact, a lot of the dungeons have different fog.
Anyway, I'm not going to complain about Skyrim's graphics. I mean, they could make 2048 textures and add super-dense grass (which would both blow up my laptop which currently can run Skyrim fine), but the modders are going to do it better either way. You don't get impressed by new graphics for long, you eventually get used to it. Then modders make better ones and you think the current ones are shit.
For example, most people didn't have issues with how the characters looked, then comes mods like XCE which shows obvious problems with the characters and everyone thinks the character models look horrific.
It's not redoing all the textures. It's slapping a pattern over existing textures to make them appear "HD"
It's not redoing all the textures. It's slapping a pattern over existing textures to make them appear "HD"
Are you talking about running a sharpening filter over them several times? Because that makes them look worse.
