Am I lucky or is Daedric stuff common in Daggerfall?
There was a merchant in Sentinel selling a Daedric Dai-katana when I was only level 6.
I wanted it very badly, but it was about 70,000 gold more than what I had.
Also yeah, higher-level loot can appear at really low levels.
I've gotten an Elven Dai-katana in the first dungeon before.
Eh, the best home would be a single room cave. somewhat smaller than the ragged flagon. maybe with a fire or one of those winterhold magic well things in the middle. around the outer edges you'd have all your furnishings and equipment.
All these giant houses, wizard towers and massive castles are just dumb. Why would anyone want to have to run through large rooms just to get to another apparatus when they can have something both practical and Homey?
Yeah, liking giant houses is dumb. Rich characters are stupid.
Small homes are the only solution.
RPG's must be practical.
No fun allowed.
Hey guys, confined to an old laptop playing (and loving) morrowind again, a few things are creeping around in my head:
1. Never used 3rd person in my life, never knew you shielded your eyes whilst in ash storms. Any way for my character to shield his eyes, say some badass goggles? (Unarmoured Mage)
2. Ithought about it. Maybe the Dunmer I am is from a different area of Morrowind, so there for I am a Nwah.
3. I am unfortunatly without a USB mouse atm. Wandering if anybody new a way to map the arrow keys to control the 1st person camera?

No, fun is allowed, but you're only allowed to have fun within the limits of the game's engine. If it doesn't allow you to do something, you can't even IMAGINE it.
To be fair, Skyrim doesn't have the widest variety of dialogue options. It's hard to RP when you're so limited in how you can react to NPCs. Some stuff could definitely stand to be fleshed out more.
[editline]1st August 2013[/editline]
It's not like a lot would have to be done, either. Get caught breaking into a house? Instead of the NPC spouting "hey get out of here", maybe you could have the option to make use of the extremely neglected intimidate dialogue options. If you make the check, the NPC shuts up and hides. Since PC lines aren't voiced, they could change a bit depending on how you've acted in the past or an alignment you chose at character creation. All it takes is some small touches and it'd be just fine.
RPing is fun when nobody is talking to you, though. For example when you are sneaking by the owner of the house you are breaking into or when you're on your own, out in the wild, while [del]hunting[/del] desperately chasing deer.

Higher level equipment drops like that are dependent on your luck skill, so if that is low in game, you must have really high luck in RL
Precisely, dogmachines. If i were to roleplay a silver tongued devil.... i'd have two or three dialogue choices that my role played character wouldn't make.
Plus you don't realy get the kind of reaction's you'd get. You could jump onto their bed, wearing nothing, as they sleep in it. you'd get a lame reaction or a slightly cross reaction. Unless you were going to roleplay some 4th wall breaking character or simply set rules on yourself and muttered to yourself about your actions... you aren't realy going to have many other "roleplay" options.
It's all nice to imagine that a scenario happened between loading screens.. but the game doesn't realy register it. you can yell You killed my father! all you want at ulfric, but nothing will change.

He probably wouldn't care anyway.
I'm glad that there are at least mods like Interesting Npcs which let you speak like a silver-tongued rogue, ignorant brute, twisted necromancer, etc.
Has anyone ever gotten a PS3 controller working with the PC version of Oblivion? I've tried but the game doesn't recognize the analog stick movements. The other buttons work fine, and I know its not the controller because I play Dark Souls with the same one.

Luck is 50 and I got the Daedric Katana from Daggerfall city.
ENB now has built in downsampling. Now I can record on my main monitor and not my TV for 4k.
Soon I will be finished with my Tribes: Ascend SDK and I will return to make proper slope physics and marry my Flame Atronach.
Oh please please add tribes skiiing to skyrim

I'll make it a special cheat in my physics mod activated by naming a high tier weapon/armor piece "Altimor is King".
Enchanted dwemer "Shazboots"
So the elder scrols anthology is now a thing

Speaking of skiiing, whatever happend to that one mod an FP user was making that supposidly made your movement speed affected by slopes and what not?
Umm, he posted 2 posts above you?
Anyone know a good zombie mod for Oblivion?

You can kind of see with the presentation of the cover that with arena and daggerfall bethesda were all like "lets be fun and exciting!" and then for morrowind and oblivion they decided to become uniform and serious and it looks like it's going to stay that way. Then they went a little astray from this with skyrim. (THE TITLE ISN'T AT THE TOP OF THE DISC; Why tod, WHY?!?!)

You shouldn't feel bad. I feel the same way. Even although I have Morrowind and above on both disc and Digital I am still going to buy this, or two. One to never open, one to use as a cum sock. Please excuse my vulgarity.

Sorry to press the issue but can anybody help?

If you need money you can just take out a massive loan at a bank, nothing really happens if you don't pay it back.
Damnit, I didn't even think of that.

Eventually the guards will come for you if you don't pay your loan (I think the timespan is over an ingame year)
Of course, you can avoid that by going to a region you are sure you won't come back to (something more likely small) and take out a huge loan and never come back.

Says your rep just drops in that region.

Which is what causes the guards to come after you. Getting convicted of a crime drops your rep also, the lower your rep the more likely you'll have guards come after you
So it's a kinda "if we see him we might go after him" thing if that's your only crime. But do it again/get caught for more crimes and then they will end up coming after you

Closest thing in the game is to change the x-movement axis from slide to turn, but that will as the name states only give you lateral movement. I don't know how to do y-axis, the only thing I can think of is to download a program that will let you control the mouse with the keyboard, though I don't know if that'll work in-game.
So I started TES with Oblivion, should I bother with trying Morrowind?
